ARC International

Tom Huppuch, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, the New York Bar Association, and the American Corporate Counsel Association. Prior to joining ARC International, he was Vice President and General Counsel of Virata, and previously worked for Fortress Technology and Digital Equipment.

Craig Slayter, Vice President, Corporate Business Development. Craig brings over 25 years of business experience in technology and was previously VP/GM of embedded software for ARC. Craig was a co-founder of two of the three start-ups where he was CEO: oDesk, RealChip and SoftStyle, a system software company acquired by Phoenix Technologies. At Phoenix he participated in their IPO and held executive positions leading worldwide sales, embedded software, and semiconductor IP. He has BSE and MSE degrees from the University of Michigan.

David Doyle, Vice President International Sales, joined in November 1999 and established ARC's European Sales operation. David has had a successful career in the semiconductor and EDA industry for over twenty years. Prior to joining ARC's executive team he was Director of Northern European Sales for VeriBest Inc , Strategic Account Manager for Motorola Semiconductor and held various management positions at Intergraph, Plessey Semiconductor and Ferranti Semiconductor.

Previously, David served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for ARC International where he focused on developing the Asian market. David was previously founder and president of Production Languages Corporation, a pioneer in configurable processor technology, where he was awarded a US patent covering fundamental processes related to configurable processors. Production Languages Corporation was subsequently acquired by ZiLOG in 1999, and he then became vice president of ZiLOG's Advanced Cores R & D and ZiLOG's Development Systems Group.

Paul Holt, Vice President Customer Service and Quality, has over 20 years experience working for IP, IC and EDA companies. Prior to his appointment with ARC International he has held positions in engineering, engineering management, marketing, quality, services and program management for companies such as Texas Instruments, VLSI Technology, Compass Design Automation, Avant! and Ericsson Microelectronics. He has extensive knowledge of European work practices, having lived and worked in England, Germany, France and Sweden.

Peter Hutton, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Engineering, has over 20 years experience in IP and IC companies. From 1998 to 2002, he was Design Centre Manager of the largest Cadence IC design centre responsible for designs with multiple processor cores and for establishing and running Cadence's soft IP business. Previously in Cadence he was Senior Solution Architect involved in Consulting and Technical Sales. His first job was at Unisys where he was a processor designer. He has also worked for ES2 and Plessey Research.

Richard first invested in the ClearSpeed group in 1998 and joined the board in 2002. An Australian, he studied economics and mathematics, and worked at the Australian Central Bank before becoming an investment banker and hedge fund manager. In 1994 he branched out on his own to become a "business angel". Since then, he has backed over fifty early-stage technology companies including Wolfson Microelectronics, ARC International, Amino Communications, ANT Software, Celoxica and Oxonica. He was also the major backer behind Home House in London and is the author of the investment book, Taming The Lion.
