Dow Jones Description
Innovative Security Systems, Inc. purchased Argus Systems Group in July, 2003 and the company continues to operate as Argus. Argus supplies and supports the most secure operating system enhancing software available: PitBull. Argus is an international vendor of security software and engineering services, providing security solutions for servers. Security technologies developed by Argus facilitate the use of the Internet as a platform for conducting real-time, direct commercial transactions, allowing users from the Internet to directly and securely interact with commercial back-end data systems. Argus' PitBull Intrusion Prevention technology presents new methods of implementing security, enhancing legacy security such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Our central market opportunity is driven by the increasing reliance on Internet-based business architectures that support core business processes and require more advanced security mechanisms to protect mission-critical systems. In particular, PitBull security technology is uniquely suited for business models that require robust security architectures, while operating within the confines of an cost-effective and profitable economic model. Given the scarce availability of security professionals, and the economic constraints inherent in operating a profitable Internet-related business, PitBull security technology can be crucial in maintaining market competitiveness and performance. ...
