Ms. Hobson serves as the President of Ariel Investments (Chicago-based investment management firm and advisor to the Ariel Investment Trust) since 2000, and as President and Director of its governing member, Ariel Capital Management Holdings, Inc. She also serves as President (since 2002) and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (Chairman since 2006, trustee since 1993) of the Ariel Investment Trust (registered investment company). Bob Solomon is Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Ariba Supplier Network Business Unit. In this role, he is responsible for the company's initiatives to expand network-based products and services to both buyers and suppliers. Prior to joining Ariba, Mr. Solomon served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Services at Silliker Laboratories Group, Inc, the global leader in food safety testing and consulting . In this capacity, he was responsible for corporate marketing, sales, information technology, and human resources. Mr. Miller supervises Nuveen’s municipal fixed-income investment activities. He also has direct responsibility for managing the Nuveen High Yield Municipal Bond Fund and other high-yield municipal funds and institutional accounts. He joined Nuveen in 1996 as a municipal credit analyst and moved into portfolio management in 2000. Mr. Miller became a managing director and head of the portfolio managers in 2006, and he became NAM’s CIO in 2007.
Mr. Miller earned his B.A. in economics and political science from Duke University, an M.A. in economics from Northwestern University, and an M.B.A. with honors in finance from the University of Chicago.

Sandy Mehta has 16 years of investment experience working at Wellington Management Company, Putnam Investments and Ariel Capital Management. At Putnam Investments, Sandy was an analyst covering Asian financials before, during and after the Asian crisis. He was also the Head of the global financial team at Putnam, supervising eight analysts. Sandy was the Portfolio Manager of two Morningstar 5-Star rated funds at Putnam, the Putnam Capital Opportunities Fund, and the Putnam Global Equity Fund, which was a "flagship" product with US$15 billion in mutual fund and institutional client assets. At Wellington, Sandy was a Portfolio Manager for $3 billion in global and international core equity portfolios.
John is the President of Aurora Press, Inc., a publisher of trade paperback books. Formerly, John served as Director and Treasurer of Silby Guffey & Co., Inc., a venture capital firm investing in early stage companies in the health care and environmental industries. He earned a BS from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. John holds directorships with various nonprofit organizations. He is also a founder of Calvert Group, Ltd. and a trustee of select Calvert mutual funds.
David serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for Chicago Public Schools, overseeing all of the educational support departments, including Finance, Budget, Operations, Human Resources, Technology, Security and Procurement. He was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago Board of Trade and is a former Vice Chairman and Director of Bank One Corporation. David also serves in the following capacities: Trustee of the Glenwood School for Boys; Trustee of the Museum of Science and Industry; Trustee and Treasurer of the board of The Art Institute of Chicago; and Member of the Board of Managers of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Paula Wolff's work emphasizes reforms to the criminal justice system in order to reduce crime and violence in the region and to create a more effective, less expensive system. Prior to joining Chicago Metropolis 2020, she served for eight years as president of Governors State University. From 1977 to 1991, she served as director of policy and planning for Governor Jim Thompson. She directed the gubernatorial transition teams for both Governor Thompson and Governor Jim Edgar. Ms.Wolff serves on numerous boards, including the Johnson Foundation, Ariel Capital Management, Harris Insight Funds, and the Joyce Foundation. She is vice chair of the board of the University of Chicago and chair of the board of the University of Chicago Hospitals.
Roxanne Ward is Vice President and Corporate Secretary/Corporate Liaison of Ariel Capital Management, LLC (Ariel), a Chicago-based investment management firm founded in 1983. Ariel manages separate accounts for institutional clients and also serves individual investors and 401(k) plans through its no-load Ariel Mutual Funds. Also, Mayor Richard M. Daley appointed her in April 2005 to serve as Member of the Chicago Board of Education for a two-year term. Roxanne joined Ariel in September 1999. She serves as Corporate Secretary for Ariel Capital Management, LLC, Ariel Capital Management Holdings, Inc., and Ariel Distributors, Inc.; serves as the primary liaison to the external members of Ariel's Board of Directors and Committees; coordinates all facets of Board and Committee meetings; and serves as secretary to Ariel's senior management team, coordinating all facets of senior staff meetings. She also assists Ariel's Chairman and CEO with special, high-level projects. Roxanne helped develop, and serves as Executive Director for, the annual Black Corporate Directors Conference sponsored by Ariel and Russell Reynolds Associates. Roxanne's duties also include representation of Ariel at civic, charitable, community and political events and provision of a myriad of advisory and other support services to local organizations such as ABLE, Chicago United, Chicago Urban League, and PUSH. Prior to joining Ariel, Roxanne spent four years working for the Chicago Park District as the First Assistant General Counsel, Board Liaison and Legislative Liaison. In this capacity, Roxanne was responsible for representing the Park District on corporate governance, public finance, real estate and labor matters. She also served as the liaison to the Board of Commissioners and worked with legislators and lobbyists on various state and local intergovernmental affairs. Additionally, Roxanne spent more than fifteen years working as a private sector attorney in the Chicago offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom and Mayer, Brown & Platt. Outside of her distinguished business career, Roxanne has been actively involved with many civic and community organizations. She is a Co-Chair of the Mayoral Policy Caucus on Prisoner Reentry and serves on the Board of Directors of the Safer Foundation. She is also a former member of the Desegregation Monitoring Commission and of the Boards of the Illinois Facilities Fund and Congo Square Theater Company. Roxanne graduated from CPS' Hookway Elementary School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago (U of C) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Service Administration (SSA), followed by a Master of Arts degree in SSA from U of C. She subsequently obtained her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. Roxanne was born and raised in, and remains a resident of, Chicago. She has two daughters, Courtney Charity and Corinne Charity, both of whom are products of the CPS system. Courtney attended Kellogg Elementary, Keller Gifted Center, Alexander Graham Bell Gifted Center and the Lincoln Park High School International Baccalaureate Program. Corinne attended Alexander Graham Bell Gifted Center and is a junior at Walter Payton.
