Frank J. Ready is executive vice president of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., and chief executive officer of Armstrong North American Floor Products. He is a member of Armstrong’s Office of the Chairman, which works to manage change across lines of business and functional areas. Mr. Ready joined Armstrong in 1983 in Building Products Operations Sales and progressed through positions in Marketing before moving to the Company’s flooring business in 1993. He served in positions of increasing responsibility including senior vice president of Sales and Marketing – Armstrong Floor Products, where he worked with Big Box customers, builders and independent retailers. He also briefly managed AFP manufacturing operations. Mr. Ready is a member of board of directors of the Tropical Forest Foundation, a coalition of industry, conservation and scientific leaders who work together to achieve sustainable management of tropical timber in the major producing regions. Mr. Nickel came to Armstrong from the law department of Dow Corning Corporation, where he was employed for nine years and served in a variety of progressively responsible legal positions in Michigan and Belgium. He began his legal career with the Michigan law firm of Varnum Riddering Schmidt & Howlett LLP. A native of Alpena, Michigan, Mr. Nickel received a bachelor's degree in government from Harvard College and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
