Frank J. Ready is executive vice president of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., and chief executive officer of Armstrong North American Floor Products. He is a member of Armstrong’s Office of the Chairman, which works to manage change across lines of business and functional areas. Mr. Ready joined Armstrong in 1983 in Building Products Operations Sales and progressed through positions in Marketing before moving to the Company’s flooring business in 1993. He served in positions of increasing responsibility including senior vice president of Sales and Marketing – Armstrong Floor Products, where he worked with Big Box customers, builders and independent retailers. He also briefly managed AFP manufacturing operations. Mr. Ready is a member of board of directors of the Tropical Forest Foundation, a coalition of industry, conservation and scientific leaders who work together to achieve sustainable management of tropical timber in the major producing regions. A native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Mr. Ready earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College.

Chairman of the Board and President since March 2001; Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer since December 2002; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company’s former holding company from August 2000 – December 2007. Mr. Lockhart previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Signal, a diversified manufacturer, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut from September 1995 until it was acquired in October 1998. He joined General Signal as President and Chief Operating Officer in September 1994. From 1981 until 1994, Mr. Lockhart worked for General Electric in various executive capacities in the GE Credit Corporation (now GE Capital), GE Transportation Systems and GE Aircraft Engines. Mr. Lockhart is a member of the Board of Directors of the Norfolk Southern Corporation and a member of the Business Council for the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

William C. Rodruan is the Interim Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance for Floor Products Americas, of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Mr. Rodruan began his career with Armstrong in June 1976 as an analyst/programmer in the Business Information Services department. Since then, he has held a number of different positions in both corporate and business unit capacities, including Research and Development, Floor Products Operations, Carpet Operations, Customer Financial Services, Armstrong Canada, and Corporate Retail Accounts. He became Director of Corporate Transformation and Shared Services in 1997, Vice President and Controller in 1999, and Vice President Finance for Floor Products Americas in 2008. He was named Interim Chief Financial Officer in April, 2009. A native of Shillington, Pennsylvania, Mr. Rodruan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University in 1976. He completed the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program in 2004.

Stephen F. McNamara is vice president and controller of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. Mr. McNamara joined Armstrong in 1999 as the manager of external reporting. Since then, he has held the positions of assistant controller and director of internal audit. He was named to his current position in 2008. Prior to Armstrong, Mr. McNamara was employed at Hunt Corp. in Philadelphia where he was assistant controller. Before that, he was a supervising senior auditor with Deloitte & Touche. A Certified Public Accountant, he graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. A native of Manalapan, New Jersey, Mr. McNamara lives with his family in Lancaster.

Jeffrey D. Nickel is senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. He is a member of Armstrong's Office of the Chairman, which works to manage change across lines of business and functional areas. Mr. Nickel joined Armstrong in 2001 as group counsel for Armstrong's global flooring business. He was named deputy general counsel for business and commercial law in 2003. He was elected to his current position in 2008. As general counsel, Mr. Nickel helps shape Armstrong's strategic direction in keeping with the Company's long-standing history of ethical behavior in all business conduct, particularly legal compliance, customer relations, supplier relations and other areas. Mr. Nickel came to Armstrong from the law department of Dow Corning Corporation, where he was employed for nine years and served in a variety of progressively responsible legal positions in Michigan and Belgium. He began his legal career with the Michigan law firm of Varnum Riddering Schmidt & Howlett LLP. A native of Alpena, Michigan, Mr. Nickel received a bachelor's degree in government from Harvard College and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Mr. Nickel is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

James J. Gaffney, became the Chairman of the Board in February 2003 and has been a director of the Company since August 2001. Since 1997, Mr. Gaffney has served as a consultant to private investment funds affiliated with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in relation to investments by those funds in Viking Pacific Holdings Ltd. and Vermont Investments Limited, both New Zealand-based diversified holding companies. Since 1997, he has served as Vice Chairman of Viking Pacific. From 1995 through 1997, Mr. Gaffney served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of General Aquatics, Inc., which manufactures swimming pool equipment and constructs swimming pools. Mr. Gaffney also is a director of Advantica Restaurant Group, Inc., SCP Pool Corporation, Hexcel Corporation, Seabulk International, Inc. and Safelite Glass Corporation.

Stan A. Askren has been the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since 2004. Mr. Askren has been a director and President since 2003. Prior to that, he was an Executive Vice President of the Corporation from 2001 to 2003; the President of Allsteel Inc. from 1999 to 2003 and a Group Vice President of The HON Company from 1998 to 1999. Mr. Askren has a broad and diverse background in human resource management, operations and marketing. Prior to joining HNI Corporation, he held management positions at Emerson Electric and Thomson, S.A. Mr. Askren has an MBA from Washington University, a BBA from University of Northern Iowa, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.
