Mr. Wardeberg is Chief Operating Officer for U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. Jeff joined U.S. Xpress as Regional Sales Vice President in the Southern California area in February 1994. In 1995, he was named Director of Marketing at the company's corporate offices in Chattanooga, TN, Vice President of Sales in 1998, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2001, Executive Vice President of Operations in 2003 and his current position in 2004. Prior to joining U.S. Xpress, Mr. Wardeberg served in various operational positions with North American Van Lines, with his last assignment as Sales Representative for the Los Angeles area. Mr. Wardeberg is a graduate of Michigan State University and resides in Signal Mountain, TN with his wife, Beth, and their three children.

James E. Hall is a principal in Hall & Associates, LLC, a government relations, transportation, safety, and security consulting firm. Mr. Hall is also "of counsel" to the law firm of Farmer and Luna in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Hall served as a partner of the law firm of Dillon, Hall & Lungershausen from 2001 through 2002. Previously, Mr. Hall was a member of the National Transportation Safety Board from 1993 to 2001, serving as chairman of the Board from 1994 to 2001. In 1996, Mr. Hall was appointed to the White House Commission on Aviation Safety and Security. Mr. Hall has been a Director of the Company since 2001.

John W. Murrey, III , age 63, served as a Senior Member of the law firm of Witt, Gaither & Whitaker, P.C. in Chattanooga, Tennessee until June 30, 2001. He has been a director of the Company since 1997. Mr. Murrey has served as a director of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, a Coca-Cola bottler headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina since 1993 and has served on its Audit Committee. He also serves as a director of U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc., a truckload carrier headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, since 2003 and is Chairman of its Audit Committee. Mr. Murrey is a member of the Company s Executive Committee, Chairman of the Company s Audit Committee and a member of the Company s Compensation Committee.

Robert J. Sudderth, Jr. served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Bank, Chattanooga, N.A. from 1989 until his retirement in 2003. Mr. Sudderth also is a Director of SunTrust Service Corporation and The Dixie Group, Inc., a floorcovering company. Mr. Sudderth has been a Director of the Company since 1998.
