Andy Hong brings to the firm a deep understanding of the user's experience of an architectural work. To him, the concept of 'use' is multifaceted. First, a building plan is not merely seen as a passive artifact, but as an active agent in solving a client's particular user-needs. Secondly, the actual involvement of the client in planning a project is seen as a crucial user experience: by emphasizing collaboration, Andy organizes strategies through which SsD can most effectively implement a client's objectives. Having received a Master of Science at the MIT Media Lab, Andy is also co-founder of the Amsterdam based software firm Fredhopper and co-founder of the independent music label Kimchee Records. Michael Brochu is a seasoned technology executive who brings over 20 years of senior-level experience and operational excellence to GMI. He most recently served as the president and CEO of Loudeye Corporation, a global leader of digital music platforms and digital media distribution services, which Nokia acquired in 2006. Before Loudeye, Mike was president and CEO of Primus Knowledge Solutions, Inc., an award-winning provider of e-service software solutions.
