ASHRAE

Joy E. Altwies P.E., CxAP, Program Director, University of Wisconsin Madison, is a LEED Accredited Professional active in ASHRAE and USGBC . As a consulting engineer, her work focused on providing commissioning services for a variety of projects with a strong emphasis on green and sustainable building projects. She also provided LEED assistance and green design opportunity analysis for clients seeking these specialized services in the commercial and institutional building sector. She has been a short course instructor for ASHRAE since 2002.

Thomas Lawrence has a broad range of experience in mechanical engineering, engineering management and environmental science disciplines. He is an Engineering Teaching Fellow in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department at the University of Georgia. Earlier in his career, he was mechanical engineering manager for Envirometric Process Controls, Inc., in Louisville, Ky., where he conducted technical studies for engineering design and construction projects throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Austria. Lawrence holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, an M.S. in engineering management from Washington University, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University and a B.S. in environmental science from Purdue University. He has published articles in the ASHRAE Journal and Building and Environment, and has taught a variety of industrial and academic courses. He received the National Science Foundation Fellowship-Integrated Graduate Education and Research Training Fellowship. Lawrence serves as faculty advisor to the University of Georgia student chapter of ASHRAE and the student affiliate chapter for Habitat for Humanity.

Andrew J. Tenhundfeld is a sales engineer for York - A Johnson Controls Company, located in Cleveland, Ohio. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Andrew also has a master degree in business for the Cleveland State University, he has 6 years of experience. Andrew has been an involved member of ASHRAE since 2000 and has served as ASHRAE Impact newsletter editor for 5 years.

Mr. Linden brings 35 years of engineering experience to Redding Linden Burr in the design of plumbing and fire protection systems. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Illinois and Wisconsin and is a member of ASHRAE.

Bill received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1971. After a tour of duty with the U.S. Army at Redstone Arsenal, Bill joined the firm in late 1973 as a HVAC engineer. He received his Professional Engineering license for the State of Georgia in 1980 as a Mechanical Engineer. He is actively registered in Georgia and Alabama. He has over 30 years experience in HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection design. Bill is an active member of ASHRAE and ACEC.

An architectural engineer, Cherish earned her Masters of Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Building Systems from Penn State University in addition to a Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering from Tennessee State University. With experience in the design, consulting, and commissioning of mechanical systems for a variety of building types, both new and existing, Cherish manages the greening process for our clients in addition to developing energy solutions. Ms. Samuels is certified through the USGBC as a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) and helps clients understand the LEED Rating System through educational seminars. Ms. Samuels is the Midwest Regional Director for CodeGreen and is also a member of ASHRAE and the USGBC-Chicago Chapter.

Chet has played an active role in the air quality portion of the environmental industry for over 30 years. As the Chief Executive Officer for a wind-tunnel testing company, he formulated many of the procedures still being used today. Applying his experience and expertise in meteorology, engineering physics, and mathematics to physical modeling using scale models in a boundary-layer wind tunnel, he has personally managed or directed many wind tunnel studies including those profiled in our Portfolio page. In addition to wind tunnel studies, Chet has personally managed a number of large scientific projects including a $1.2 million field project for the Baton Rouge Ozone Task Force to study the formation of ozone in the Baton Rouge vicinity. This project was touted by users of its data as "producing the most useful data per dollar of any project of its kind." Chet coauthored an EPA-recommended protocol for the use of environmental wind tunnel studies to determine plume downwash characteristics for input to EPA's own regulatory dispersion models. He also directed the development of a modular system of computer programs which allowed predictable, cost-effective analysis of complex meteorological data and was the basis for winning a number of federal government projects. He has been a speaker for the Labs for the 21st Century and other professional organizations on such topics as Commissioning of Laboratory Exhaust Systems, and the use of the Wind Tunnel for Campus Design. His educational background includes an MBA in Management Strategy and Policy/Marketing from UCLA, an MS in Meteorology from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and a BS in Engineering Physics from UC Berkeley. He is an active member of several professional organizations including ASHRAE, Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA), AMS (American Meteorological Society) and others.

For 32 years, Dan was associated with ACCO Engineered Systems in California with 30 years experience in the development of energy retrofit projects throughout California. As the Director of Energy Projects for ACCO, he completed the first Danfoss Turbocor retrofit of a built-up DX system in North America. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA, and is a member of ASHRAE, AEE, Energy Services Marketing Society of AEE, and AEE Southern California. Dan has made presentations on energy conservation for the World Energy Conference, ASHRAE, various public utilities, municipalities, and other industry organizations.

Daniel is the founder and president of Yoshpe Engineers. He joined Eshone Energy's advisory board in 2007. Daniel is a Veteran Engineer with more than 30 years of global experience in civil engineering, construction and project management. He built and advised to more than 1000 projects throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Daniel holds a BSC in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley and is a member of ASHRAE, UBC, and City High-Rise code committees.

David has consulted on the design and operation of microelectronic manufacturing cleanrooms in matters of contamination control, airflow management and energy conservation. He has served on the IEST Working Group which drafts the standard IEST-RPCC006.2 "Testing Cleanrooms". Among his specialties is computer simulation of airflows utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He has lectured on this at ASU (Del Webb Graduate School of Engineering) and given seminars for ASHRAE Chapters.

David Brumbaugh is President and Senior Technical Consultant for DRB Industries, LLC. David is considered one of the world's leading experts in the field of Gas Turbine Filtration and Inlet Cooling. David has supported Municipal and IPP utilities all over the U.S. and in 22 countries on 6 different continents. His troubleshooting and expert assistance to companies such as General Electric, Siemens Westinghouse, MHI and ABB just to name a few, is well known throughout the Electric Power Industry. A highly sought after dynamic speaker and knowledgeable consultant; Brumbaugh regularly lectures at conferences all over North America and Europe. David has helped numerous corporations worldwide streamline their Gas Turbine Filter house Reliability practices. A leading expert in Air Filtration and Cooling Practices, David is called on regularly to assist companies who want to reduce operating costs and increase Gas Turbine Performance. David is a published author with articles and credits appearing in such magazines as, Power Engineering, Turbo Machinery International, and Combined Cycle Journal. His numerous technical bulletins are also used widely by maintenance professionals at plants worldwide. Brumbaugh brings to the table the unique experience of not only co-founding a company dedicated to Pro-Active Maintenance practices (Noria Corporation), but also serving as a Director of a trade journal distributed to over 7,000 maintenance professional worldwide. Brumbaugh also worked with Braden Manufacturing and has an extensive background in Filtration and Retrofit Services for Auxiliary Gas Turbine Systems, which has equipped him with a keen understanding of the specific challenges that power plants face on a daily basis. Brumbaugh is the founder and owner of DRB Industries a leading company in the Electric Power Industry. He is a Certified Air Filtration Specialist (CAFS), member of ASHRAE, graduate of the Pro Active Maintenance Institute (PIM), member of the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) and the Evaporative Cooling Institute. David has also been named to Strathmore's Who's Who of Outstanding Business Leaders in the United States. Brumbaugh is also a Decorated Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with 101st Airborne Division. David holds both Bachelor of Arts and MBA degrees, with post master's graduate work in Commercial and Industrial Economies. Brumbaugh has almost two decades of experience in the Electric Power and Industrial Process Industries. David Brumbaugh is an active member of both his local church and community. Brumbaugh serves as Chairman of the Deacon Board at his local church. A Bible teacher for over 17 years, he is involved with a Prison Invasion Ministries, Men's Bible Studies and has taught at Seminary in Russia. David also serves on the School Board. He and his wife are involved with several philanthropic causes, support missionaries worldwide, and he serves on several local committees. David and his wonderful wife Shelley also have two beautiful daughters and reside in Broken Arrow Oklahoma.

David DeBiasse serves Environmental Mechanical as Vice President. David holds a key position in that he is responsible for project management and construction coordinationof projects. He is involved in on-site supervision and deals directly with contractors as well as clients. He is also involved in the design-build and estimating. He was named Vice President in June 2000. David brings substantial field experience from working for a family owned commercial/residential plumbing and heating business. In addition, he gained experience in production mechanical systems as plant/project engineer for a plastics plant for three years. He spent the following eight years managing mechanical installations for a firm that served higher education, commercial, industrial, health care and pharmaceutical clients. He is a member of ASHRAE. David holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas.

David Springer entered the energy field as a designer of solar heating systems and formed Natural Heating Systems, the Sacramento Valley's first specialty solar contracting firm in 1974. In the late 1980's he was employed in the California Energy Commission's Solar Office, where he managed state building retrofit projects, and provided technical support for the development of the emerging energy standards. A founding principal, and current president of Davis Energy Group, David now manages operations, and participates in mechanical design, technology development, market transformation, standards development, and other projects. He is currently leading western program activities for the Consortium for Advanced Residential Buildings, a Department of Energy Building America program partner. He is an ASHRAE member and voting member of TC 6.5, and serves on the Board of Advisors for the UC Davis Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering Department.

James L. Horvath, is a chartered accountant, chartered business valuator, and accredited senior appraiser. He is a partner at Deloitte & Touche, where he is engaged in business valuations, mergers, and acquisitions since 1974. He has been involved in numerous significant valuations across Canada and has worked on assignments in over thirty countries. He is a widely published and well-known speaker on valuation topics. He was President of Canadian ASA Society of Appraisers and Regional Governor of American Society of Appraisers (1981-1986); Director of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (1982-1985); and Director of Employee Share Ownership Plan Association (1990-1996). He is the author of Valuing Professional Practices (1990). Mr. Horvath, earned a Bachelors in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from McMaster University. James P Sweeney, is President of BVA Cogen, Inc. in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He founded BVA Cogen and several other energy related companies during the 1980's. He is a recognized expert on installation of cogeneration facilities and an active promoter of efficient utilization of energy in industry and commerce. He is a member of ASHRAE, past president of the New England Chapter of American Society of Gas Engineers, member of the Association of Energy Engineers, member of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), member of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) and a member of the Board of Directors of NECA and Chairman of NECA's "Small Project Committee" Mr. Sweeney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from St. Francis College, Loretto, Pennsylvania. He served in the U. S. Army's 82nd Airborne Counterintelligence Unit. He held positions Ocean Mechanical, MCC Powers, Robertshaw Controls and Facilities Management Company. He was regional manager for Litton Facilities Management Systems.

Joe Mucher is Vice President of Pre-Construction. Joe is directly responsible for pre-construction activities. He manages our sales and estimating departments. In addition to his management duties, Joe works as a sales engineer with many of our key customers. Joe is a registered professional engineer in the state of California.

John Carter, CPP Senior Associate, has more than nine years of experience conducting wind-tunnel and numerical modeling studies related to laboratory exhaust design. Some of his clients include GE Global, Johnson and Johnson, Allergan, Applied Bio, University of Missouri, Duke University, UC Irvine, UC Davis, and UC Santa Monica. At CPP, John has been instrumental in developing tools to aid in modeling of internal building airflow patterns using pressure coefficient data measured in CPP's wind tunnels. This technique, which uses the pressure data in conjunction with existing numerical models, has been used to evaluate natural ventilation in high-rise buildings and to provide solutions for ventilation problems in existing facilities. John has also conducted numerous wind-tunnel dispersion studies to determine Equivalent Building Dimensions, a technique that provides more accurate estimations of concentrations due to downwash using EPA's ISC model. John has performed studies of Good Engineering Practice stack height and building ventilation. Before his arrival as a full time engineer at CPP, John participated in ASHRAE's Research Project investigating the impact of architectural screens on rooftop concentration levels (ASHRAE Research Project 805-TRP). This work was the basis of his Master's thesis. John has written several technical reports and is an active member of ASHRAE, ASWE, and ASME. John holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and an MS in Wind Engineering from Colorado State University.

John Oliver is C.E.O of Airetech Corporation. As C.E.O. John oversees all aspects of operation of the company. John is also very active in equipment sales and continues to be very involved in engineer, contractor and owner selling. John graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1981 with a B.S in Industrial Engineering. John began his career in the HVAC industry after college as a sales engineer with the Trane Co. John went to work for Airetech in 1987 as a HVAC sales engineer and bought the company in 1993. John has over 25 years experience in the HVAC equipment rep business. John is a member of ASHRAE and has been active in the Arkansas chapter and held many committee positions. John also is a member of the Little Rock downtown Rotary club # 99. John enjoys playing golf, spending time at the lake with his wife and two kids and family vacations.

John joined Blackmore and Glunt in 1979 as an HVAC outside salesman. He earned his Bachelors of Engineering Management from the University if Missouri-Rolla in 1979. He worked for a year and a half in Blackmore and Glunt's Kansas City office before coming to St. Louis. He is a member of ASHRAE and is a registered professional engineer in the states of Missouri and Illinois. John currently covers central Illinois.

Jon has more than 20 years experience in the HVAC industry and focuses on estimating, sales and project management. Prior to founding UMI, he was the Regional Vice President in charge of Bay Area operations for a statewide HVAC company. Jon has worked with local and national HVAC companies where he served as estimator and project manager, senior project manager, sales engineer, and Vice President of Strategic Accounts, respectively. Jon holds a BS in Engineering Technology (AC&R) from California Polytechnic State University. He is a member of A.S.H.R.A.E., SMACNA, and MCAA.

Mr. Rocco earned a Master of Architecture degree from Tulane University. He has attended professional development workshops and conferences on energy efficient technologies and equipment, including the ASHRAE Professional Development Seminar on Standard 90.1 (Energy Efficient Design of New Buildings), Energy Efficient Office Technology, Multifamily Building Ventilation Systems, and several State and Federal Code compliance seminars. Mr. Rocco is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie School of Human Relations and a member of the local chapters of the AIA, ASHRAE, USGBC and IESNA.

Josh is a sales engineer with Airetech/Northwest Controls. He has been with the companies since August of 1998. He worked as a control technician and AUTOCAD operator while he was obtaining his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Arkansas. While at the university, Josh focused primarily on HVAC and energy management. In 2003 Josh moved to Tulsa pursuing a controls customer base. His time spent working on all aspects of a job from start to finish, both in the field and in the office, has giving him a solid background in our industry. Josh currently is part of the Springdale office where he wears many hats. His responsibilities cover both equipment and controls and include design, cost estimating, sales, installation, service and programming. He is an active member of ASHRAE (Am. Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). Josh and his wife Cathy live in Elm Springs.

As a specialist in the field of health care and laboratory design, Ken Borah's background includes numerous renovation and new construction projects. His participation in American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) keeps him on the cutting edge of mechanical systems technology. Ken's responsibilities include team leadership, as well as ensuring that mechanical systems are designed, constructed and operated in accordance with the Owner's project requirements. In addition, he attends all project design/concept meetings and provides engineering leadership from schematic design through final construction.

Mark is a nationally-known expert in utility demand-side management, energy conservation programs, and measurement and verification (M&V). He has led the technical team of Aloha Systems for 12 years, and prior to that worked for Southern California Edison in engineering, project management, and supervisory positions for the energy conservation and renewable/alternative energy programs. Mark received his Ph.D. in electric power systems engineering and has master's degrees in engineering, business administration, and religion. He is a registered professional engineer and a licensed general and electrical contractor. He is the author of a number of technical papers on residential, commercial, and industrial energy use as well as measurement and verification (M&V) strategies and appliance efficiency. He is also author of Power 101: A Basic Introduction to Electric Utility Power, a book designed to help the average energy consumer understand the electric system and marketplace. Mark was a founding board member of the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) and is a member of the IEEE and ASHRAE. He has served on the boards of directors of a number of business and nonprofit organizations.

Michel Lecompte has served as the President of RefPlus since 1994. From 1977 to 1994, Mr. Lecompte was with Blanchard Ness as both Chief Engineer and Estimator. Mr. Lecompte was involved in estimating commercial and industrial HVAC systems as well as updating operating and maintenance procedures to improve existing equipment efficiency. Mr. Lecompte also provided technical guidance to construction departments and identified evaluated and resolved problems. Mr. Lecompte is a member of ASHRAE and is a voting member of ASHRAE's Technical Committee which establishes worldwide acceptance of HVAC standards. In addition, Mr. Lecompte conducts many HVAC seminars focusing on refrigeration and heat recovery. Mr. Lecompte is also a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society.

Paul has been working with ventilation systems and the construction industry since 1977. He has developed more than a dozen products and holds a patent on the Airetrak control. He has taught a number of ventilation courses to a wide variety of students, from weatherization professionals to the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He is presently serving as a ventilation/product consultant to two of the Building America teams and is working with the Harvard School of Public Health to produce a cross disciplinary symposium on public health issues and residential design. He is a full member of ASHRAE (the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers). Since 1998 he has been President of Tamarack Technologies, Inc. which he founded with Mark Bernfeld in 1993. TTi has played a key role in offering solutions to the critical problems in IAQ control and will continue to do so in the coming years. The company has three primary product groups: the sunroom products, the residential ventilation products, and weatherization and air quality products. It is in this latter area where TTi will concentrate its new product development efforts in the coming years. Paul has developed and brought to market a range of ventilation systems from fans to controls, and he has been solving comfort issues for twenty-five years. He is one of the original members of the Hickory Consortium Building America Team and is a full member of ASHRAE.

With nearly three decades of experience in the utility industry, Mr. Burns is responsible for developing and analyzing demand-side management initiatives as well as providing supply-side procurement services for electric, natural gas, fuel oil, and steam commodities. He works closely with Mondre clients as their representative throughout project implementation. In addition, Mr. Burns serves as an expert witness in rate making and dispute resolution as needed. His engagements have ranged from broad-based energy conservation initiatives across a 200-facility school district, to the development of an on-site cogeneration plant for a major bottler, and creating an on-site electric peak shaving system for the Phillies' Citizens Bank Ballpark. Prior to joining Mondre Energy, Mr. Burns spearheaded marketing for Carrier and York International, designed the "cooling loop" for New Jersey State office buildings for Trigen Energy, and developed state-of-the-art ice storage systems. Mr. Burns was also an industrial sales manager for the Philadelphia Gas Works, where he was responsible for marketing natural gas-fired boilers and chillers, participating in the development of the Grays Ferry 200 MW Cogeneration Project, and managing conversions from steam loop to on-site steam service. He is a member of ASHRAE and the Association of Energy Engineers.

Rick Brotherton is President and managing partner of CORE Support Systems and brings more than 30 years expertise to CORE. Mr. Brotherton has spent his entire professional career in the high availability systems arena primarily with power systems (UPS) and computer room air-conditioning systems. He began his career with Lorain Products Corporation (now Marconi Corporation) as a product designer in the DC to AC inverter design group. Mr. Brotherton was responsible for various engineering assignments and held several management positions before leaving in 1976 to join Exide Electronics (now Powerware) in the three-phase UPS and stationary battery field. In 1983, he was recruited by Liebert Corporation where he accepted the challenge represented by a key management position. He went on to build a new organization that significantly increased the market share of the operation before leaving in 1996 to start CORE Support Systems. Mr. Brotherton s extensive expertise in the high availability systems field includes engineering, manufacturing, sales & marketing and senior management positions that have provided the experience that drives CORE today. Mr. Brotherton holds degrees in electrical engineering and business/finance management.

Robert joined Blackmore and Glunt in 2004 as an outside salesman covering southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. Robert graduated in 2004 from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelors of Science in Communication Studies. He is a member of ASHRAE and heads the TEGA committee.

Mr. Jordan's experience includes Mechanical Design, Specifications and Field Supervision during construction. As A Project Manager, Mr. Jordan is involved from Project Design Conception to Construction Completion. Most recent projects: Harlan Elementary School, Concord High School, Salesianum School Science Wing Addition, Chapel/Conference center, Fine Arts Renovation and Various State of Delaware MCI Projects. Mr. Jordan has most recently become a LEED AP.

Rod joined New England Mechanical Services, Inc., in November 1992 as a Sales Engineer in the Construction Division. A short time later Rod was promoted to manager, and in 2002 was made vice president for Fairfield County. Mr. Dapkins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan and is a registered Professional Engineer in Connecticut. He is also a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). Prior to joining New England Mechanical Services, Inc., Mr. Dapkins attained the position of General Manager of Sales and Engineering for J. P. Salmini Company, Inc., in Milford, CT.

In addition to heading the successful Danfoss Turbocor compressor development team, Ron has pioneered HVACR design, manufacturing, and service businesses for over three decades. He has established manufacturing plants in North America, Europe, South Africa, China, and Australia. He is a member of ASHRAE.

SUSAN E. RIGGS, P.E. our principal design engineer, holds a BA in Architecture from Temple University along with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Temple. Ms. Riggs received her engineering registration in New Jersey in 2004 and is currently licensed in 12 states. She holds an NCEES record and additional state licenses may be obtained as required She has been with our firm since 1991, having worked full time while attending college. She is a member of ASHRAE and the America Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Thomas Lipiec has over twenty-six years of professional experience in the cinema industry. His expertise includes a diverse knowledge of motion picture projection systems, as well as an extensive understanding of cinema audio and acoustical systems. Tom also has a broad range of experiences with the design and construction of cinemas and studios. His expertise in image technologies range from 35/70mm film based processes to high-def telecine conversion platforms & HD/Digital Cinema mastering systems. Tom has an in-depth knowledge of DVD mastering & replication technologies emanating from his direct involvement with the evolution of the next generation HD-DVD formats. His experience with image-capture technologies is based on his direction and production of several 35mm test films and his use and operation of the HD Panavision & CineAlta 24p high-def digital cameras. He began his career in the cinema industry by occupying several technical and operational positions at various cinema exhibitors. His technical knowledge broadened with his years at Lucasfilm/THX, where he initially spent his time testing, aligning and evaluating visual & audio systems. A significant part of his time at Lucasfilm/THX was dedicated to a wide variety of research projects that included collaborating with Skywalker Sound and ILM. Tom gained 2 movie credits for Star Wars: Episode I and Star Wars: Episode II (D.C. & DVD). He was an integral part of the inception of Lucasfilm's Digital Cinema Program. Prior to joining MiT, Tom served as the technical director of the post-production division of THX Ltd. Tom is a current member of SMPTE, AES, SID, SPIE and ASHRAE.

Mr. Kelly has directed his staff in production and design of more than $400 million in construction of specialized Government and private sector projects.

William Wladyka, P.E., is an associate consultant for APS who specializes in climate control systems. William Wladyka is an active member of ASHRAE, having served as a former president of the NY Chapter.

A graduate of A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration, Richard started his first consulting engineering firm in the early 1970's. He is registered in 32 states, is LEED AP certified and has been a member of the City of Houston Mechanical Review Board for over 20 years. Richard maintains an active membership in many professional organizations including BOMA and ASHRAE, where he served as chapter president. Author of many professional articles, he continues to share his experience and knowledge freely. One of his articles, "Eight Is More Than Enough", concerning low voltage (1200) power usage in commercial office buildings, was featured in Houston's Office & Commercial Real Estate magazine Summer 2000 issue. He currently teaches engineering ethics seminars to ASHRAE, Rice University, and other organizations for professional engineering registration renewals.

Mr. Ryall has been involved with the HVAC industry for over 15 years and has specialized experience in Central Plants, energy analysis, and the district heating and cooling industry. He has connected over 25 million square feet of space to district systems while working with district energy systems in Chicago, Illinois and Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Ryall was responsible for the design, project management and commissioning of over 50 customer connections and the installation of approximately 50,000 lineal trench feet of underground chilled water distribution piping in downtown Chicago, Illinois and Phoenix, Arizona. He has provided consulting engineering services to district energy systems in Boston, Massachusetts and is currently providing consulting and project management services for Northwind Phoenix district cooling system in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Ryall is responsible for co-managing Taylor RyMar Corporation's mechanical engineering and project management staff. He is a licensed professional engineer in Arizona and Ohio, and is a current member of ASHRAE.

Sandra Hart is a mechanical engineer working for Newport Ventures, LLC. She got her Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University. She has a background in HVAC engineering and plans on taking the Fundamentals of Engineering exam in October. She is a member of the Capital District Builders & Remodelers Association and ASHRAE.
