Eric Meurice joined ASML on October 1, 2004 as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Management. Prior to joining ASML, and since March 2001, he was Executive Vice President of Thomson Television Worldwide. Between 1995 and 2001, Mr. Meurice served as Vice President for Dell Computer, where he ran the Western, Eastern Europe and Dell's Emerging Markets businesses within EMEA. Before 1995 he gained extensive experience in the semiconductor industry at ITT Semiconductors Group and Intel Corporation, in the microcontroller group. Mr. Meurice is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Verigy Inc. Mr. Meurice has earned a Master's degree in applied economics (1979), Sorbonne University, Paris; Master's degree in mechanics and energy generation (1979), Ecole Centrale de Paris; and an MBA (1984), Stanford University, California.

Peter Wennink was appointed as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Management of ASML in 1999. Mr. Wennink has an extensive background in finance and accounting. Prior to his employment with ASML, Mr. Wennink worked as a partner at Deloitte Accountants, specializing in the high technology industry with an emphasis on the semiconductor equipment industry. Mr. Wennink is a member of the Netherlands Institute of Registered Accountants. Mr. Wennink currently serves on the Supervisory Board of Bank Insinger de Beaufort N.V.

Martin van den Brink joined ASML when the company was founded in early 1984. He held several positions in engineering and, since 1995, Mr. Van den Brink served as Vice President Technology. In 1999 Mr. Van den Brink was appointed as Executive Vice President Marketing & Technology and as a member of ASML's Board of Management. Mr. Van den Brink has earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from HTS Arnhem (HAN University), and a degree in Physics (1984) from the University of Twente, the Netherlands.

Mr. Van der Poel was appointed to ASML's Supervisory Board in March 2004 and was appointed as Chairman in 2007. Until 2001 he was the Chief Executive Officer of Philips Semiconductors. Mr. Van der Poel is a former member of the Board of Management (until April 2003) and a former member of the Group Management Committee of Royal Philips Electronics. Mr. Van der Poel is a member of the Board of Directors of Gemalto Holding N.V. and serves on the Supervisory Boards of PSV N.V. and DHV Holding B.V.

Michael J. Attardo has served as a director of FEI since April 1999. Dr. Attardo has been retired since 1999. From 1992 to 1999, Dr. Attardo was Senior Vice President and General Manager of International Business Machines Corporation’s (“IBM”) Microelectronics Division. Dr. Attardo enjoyed more than 30 years of experience in engineering, management and development at IBM. Prior to serving as General Manager of the Microelectronics Division, Dr. Attardo was General Manager of the Manufacturing and Process Development Division of IBM. He serves as a member of the board of directors of the Semiconductor Industries Association and the Engineering Council of the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science. He also serves on the joint industry-government Semiconductor Technology Council for the United States Department of Defense. Dr. Attardo holds a B.A. from Queens College and a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from Columbia University.
