Bradley Miller, one of the named executive officers, stepped down from his position with us in February 2009. We have initiated a search for a new Chief Financial Officer. During the transition period from February 2009 until our appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Fusco is fulfilling the functions of our Principal Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer.

Bradley T. Miller joined AspenTech as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2006, bringing over 20 years of financial management and executive leadership experience. Miller is responsible for the Company's global financial operations and oversees all treasury, investor, and information technology functions. Miller brings an extensive public company background which includes building financial systems which are scalable on a global basis. In his most recent role, Miller was CFO at Viisage Technology, a publicly traded identity solutions hardware and software company, where he successfully managed a $100 million private equity investment and the merger with Identix and L-1 Identity Solutions. Prior to joining Viisage, Miller served as vice president, finance and corporate controller of Sonus Networks where he successfully steered the company through a period of substantial change in its global financial operations. Miller also held executive financial management roles at Sapient, Juniornet and Wang Global. He previously was a member of the audit practice with Coopers and Lybrand where he earned his C. P. A. license. Miller is a graduate of the College of William and Mary, and holds an MBA from the University of New Hampshire.

Henry Lau joined AspenTech in early 2007 as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Regional Sales and Services, for the APAC region where he brings more than 30 years of sales, marketing, engineering, and management experience to the position. Prior to joining AspenTech, Henry served as Managing Director of APAC for Psion Teklogix, a leading provider of rugged mobile computing solutions, where he had full P&L responsibility and helped grow the Asia Pacific business more than 80% in two years. Before that, Henry served as Managing Director for the Greater China/Korea/ASEAN region for Avid Technology, the world leader in digital non-linear media creation, management, and distribution solutions. While at Avid, Henry helped the company more than double its Asia business over a four-year period. Henry has also held various senior-level management positions at Tandem Computers, Intergraph Systems, Apple Computers, Unisys, Cray Research and Sperry Univac. Henry also held senior management positions in various government ministries in the Singapore Civil Service. Henry Lau has a BSC in Systems Engineering (1st Class Honours) from the University of Bath, U.K under a Singapore Government Colombo Plan Scholarship.

John Bell joined AspenTech in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Sales, for the Europe/Middle East/Africa region. Prior to joining AspenTech, Bell served as EMEA Regional Director for MatrixOne Inc., a recognized leader in developing and marketing collaborative product lifecycle management solutions, where he drove a strong sales-oriented culture that saw a 300% business growth in fiscal 2003/2004. Bell previously was Vice President, EMEA, for SAP Portals UK Ltd., where he created a new business sales and support team that captured first place in the UK portal market. He has also held several senior-level management positions, including Vice President, Europe at Infinium Software, where he quadrupled license sales; and Middle East Regional Director for Oracle Dubai UAE, where he was awarded the top growth award within his division. Bell holds a degree in Economics from Brookes University, Oxford.

Manolis Kotzabasakis joined AspenTech in 1997, and is responsible for AspenTech’s worldwide sales operations and business development. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Marketing, directing the company’s activities related to business planning, corporate and product marketing, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Kotzabasakis served as Chief Executive Officer at Linnhoff March, a process software and design firm, prior to his association with AspenTech. He was an associate professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in the United Kingdom from 1987 to 1992. Kotzabasakis holds PhD and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering from UMIST, and a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

Paul Taylor joined AspenTech in early 2008 as Senior Vice President of Regional Sales and Services for the EMEA region. Taylor brings more than 30 years of sales, software, hardware, and management experience to this role. Prior to joining AspenTech he served as Vice President and General Manager - EMEA, for Borland, a provider of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools. In his first year with Borland he oversaw the restructuring of the European organization and led the EMEA team to revenues 30% higher year-over-year. Before his association with Borland, Taylor was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations at Vitria, Inc., a provider of Business Process Management (BPM) solutions. There, he was instrumental in significantly increasing its International revenues from 20% to 50% of worldwide revenues successfully leveraging both local and global partners. Taylor has also held senior management positions with Commerce One and Lotus/IBM Software Group.

Bruce has over 20 years experience with DMC Corporation and Aspen Technology, Inc. .He has a B.S. in Chemistry from The College of William and Mary and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park. Bruce has served in a variety of technical and management roles including training, software development, and project management. Jamie Hintlian joined AspenTech in 2007 to build and lead AspenTech's newly formed Pharmaceutical Business Unit, including development and execution of AspenTech's pharmaceuticals business, product, and go-to-market strategy. Hintlian joined AspenTech from Accenture, where he was a Senior Partner leading their Global Health and Life Sciences Supply Chain Practice. He worked with firms across the pharmaceutical and medical products value chain to improve supply planning, channel management, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, procurement and customer service performance, as well as regulatory compliance. Hintlian also led several innovation initiatives, including the groundbreaking pharmaceutical Electronic Product Code (EPC) and ePedigree industry program, which implemented RFID (radio frequency identification) technology across the manufacturer/wholesaler/retail pharmacy supply chain to support anti-counterfeiting programs. Prior to Accenture, Jamie worked in product management at Data General where he was responsible for the entire integrated small business systems products. Hintlian holds an MBA and Master of Engineering in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.

Steve Pringle joined AspenTech in 1996 and serves as Senior Vice President, Global Consulting Services. He was most recently Senior Vice President, Products, after serving in previous roles at AspenTech as Vice President, Manufacturing/Supply Chain; Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions Software Development; and Vice President, Consulting Services. During his earlier career, Pringle acquired extensive experience in the process industry software business, initially with Duke Energy (formerly Texas Eastern Corp.), and subsequently with Bethany International, and Scientific Software-Intercomp (SSI). In 1990, he founded and led as President Kinesix Corp., a division of SSI, until he joined AspenTech. Pringle holds both MSc and BS degrees from Louisiana Tech.

David McKenna is a partner at Advent International, a global private equity firm. His work at Advent includes retail and distribution sector transactions and for two years McKenna headed the Hong Kong office, where he focused on buyouts in Greater China and Southeast Asia. In addition, McKenna has co-led or participated in a number of Advent investments, including Boart Longyear, Keystone Automotive Operations Inc., Li & Fung (Distribution) Ltd., Inframetrics Inc., Tweeter Home Entertainment Group Inc., Moulin International Holdings Ltd. and Creative Multimedia Corp. David McKenna's private equity experience also includes three years as a senior dealmaker with Bain Capital, working on large buyouts in the industrial, retail and consumer sectors. McKenna began his career as a consultant with The Monitor Group, a leading strategy consulting firm. He graduated cum laude with an AB from Dartmouth College.

Gary Haroian has served on the Network Engines board of directors since June 2003. He also works as a consultant and advisor to technology companies. Most recently, Gary served as chief financial officer, chief operating officer and interim chief executive officer at Bowstreet Software. Previously, he served as senior vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at Concord Communications Inc. and held executive positions at Stratus Technologies Inc. Gary also serves as director for Aspen Technology, Inc. and Silverback Technologies, Inc.

Stephen M. Jennings is a partner and director of the Monitor Group where he has managed domestic and international projects and relationships in a wide variety of industries, ranging from pharmaceuticals and financial services to consumer goods manufacturing and primary metals. He has also done considerable work in the area of corporate strategy and the enhancement of shareholder value. Steve is a member of Monitor's Office of the Chairman and of the Consulting Group's Global Operating Executive with specific responsibilities for North American operations. Steve is an investor in New Profit, Inc. and has been actively involved in New Profit activities over the years. In addition to advising the Institute on its next phase, Steve is partnering closely with the Institute on the development and application of approaches to address the role that corporations play in creating social benefit.

Joan C. McArdle is a Senior Vice President with Massachusetts Capital Resource Company (MCRC), a private investment company which makes mezzanine investments in emerging growth and middle market companies. Prior to joining MCRC in 1985, Ms. McArdle was employed by the First National Bank of Boston in a variety of capacities, leaving the firm as a Vice President in the Large Corporate/Multinational Group. In addition to her membership on the Board of Directors for Aspen Technology, Inc., she currently serves on the Board of Directors for a number of private companies, and is a member of the Board of Governors of New England Medical Center. Ms. McArdle received an AB degree in English from Smith College.
