Theodore D. Crandall is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Crandall’s Rockwell Automation work experience spans 23 years and includes a variety of management positions in finance, manufacturing, logistics, and general management. Crandall joined Rockwell International in 1978 as a financial analyst for the Power Tool Division. He moved to Rockwell Automation, General Industry Operations, as senior planning analyst in 1979 and was appointed manager of strategic planning for General Industry Operations in 1981. From 1981 to 1988, Crandall was with Electronics Corporation of America, which in 1986 was acquired by Rockwell and became a division of Allen-Bradley. Robert Ruff was named senior vice president, Americas Region in November 2002. In addition to being responsible for leading the Americas Sales Region, Ruff has the responsibility to accelerate programs that are designed to increase market and customer share and drive business performance. Ruff joined Reliance Electric in 1976 as a service engineer and also provided customer training. In 1978, he was assigned as a sales engineer in Philadelphia until 1978, when he became a marketing/application engineer manager at the Regional Drive Center in Edison, N.J. In 1980, he was promoted to operations manager at the Regional Drive Center in Edison. In 1986, he moved into field sales as an executive account manager in Boston, Mass. Later that year, Ruff was appointed regional sales manager based in Milwaukee. Before founding GrowthPoint, Inc., Bruce was President of the North American Automotive and Robotics Division for ABB Corporation, one of the world's largest automation manufacturers. As president, Bruce grew the business 43% in a down market. With a laser focus on targeting sales resources, aligning them with the targeted segment buying cycle, the result was the ability to competitively deliver solutions. During this time he lowered overhead costs by 30% utilizing continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma. Jon Rode is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Rockwell Scientific Company. David B. Speer is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ITW. Mr. Speer joined ITW in 1978 and has held various selling, marketing and general management responsibilities within the Construction Products organization.
