Zack founded Astea in 1979, and continues to serve as president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board. Under his leadership, the Company has grown from a consulting firm specializing in field service applications to a dominant global provider of service-centric CRM solutions, integrating all customer-facing business processes for companies that manage mission critical assets. In addition to setting corporate direction, Zack oversees daily operations and plays an active role in nurturing relationships with major customers, partners and investors worldwide. His reputation as an industry pioneer and visionary is the result of his extensive background in applications and professional services. Prior to Astea, Zack held senior executive positions with such leading companies as Gould Electronics, Bechtel Corporation and General Signal. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Rick Etskovitz joined Astea International in June 2000, when he was elected chief financial officer and treasurer. Responsible for the firm's financial planning, investor relations, and executive guidance to help drive corporate performance, Rick brings to his position 25 years of experience in financial management and reporting. A certified public accountant, he previously served Astea for seven years as the engagement partner from an independent accounting firm. Before beginning his career in private practice, Rick was part of the financial management team at Dupont where he held responsibilities for Mergers and Acquisitions, Financial Planning, Corporate Accounting and Benefits. Rick received his Bachelor of Science from the Pennsylvania State University and his Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Debbie brings more than 16 years of progressive technology, healthcare and consumer product experience in marketing. Prior to joining Astea, she held a marketing management position for Draeger Medical, a Draeger and Siemens Company, responsible for developing, implementing and leading the global strategic and tactical marketing communications and launch plans for acute point-of-care software. She has also worked as an independent marketing consultant, working with clients that ranged from small start-ups to larger more mature service and product technology companies, providing both strategic and tactical marketing services. Debbie began her career in consumer products, holding both sales and marketing positions with Lever Brothers and ACNielsen. Debbie earned her BS degree in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and MS degree in Information Systems from Drexel University.

As managing director, EMEA, Mark is responsible for growing Astea's business in the European, Middle Eastern and African regions. Mark Comer is a diversified senior executive with global information technology applications and services experience. He has 20 years experience in the software industry and over 15 years in direct and channel sales. Prior to joining Astea he worked at a number of startups, one of which was sold to IBM. On leaving IBM, he spent 8 years at PeopleSoft and Oracle where he held a number of field and operational roles. At PeopleSoft, Comer received numerous citations recognizing excellence in sales and customer satisfaction. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Masters of Business Administration.

Brian has a long history with Astea, dating back to 1991 when he managed the development of Dispatch 1, Astea’s legacy product. In 1994 Brian took on the responsibility of General Manager, Asia Pacific and set up the Asia Pacific office in Sydney, until in 1997 he undertook the position of Director, Program Management and now has responsibility for all design requirements of Alliance Enterprise versions. In the 17 years leading up to his start with Astea, Brian held similar developmental and management positions with George Ward Distributors, Sydney and Tempo Computer Services, Canada. Brian holds a Business Degree majoring in Marketing from the University of Kingston, UK.

Steve has been involved with Astea since 1999 in the capacity of a Project Manager and in this role, project managed implementations for many of Astea’s customers including Marconi Australia, Port of Portland and Sagem Australasia. In 2002, Steve came onboard with Astea in the full time capacity of Professional Services Manager. In his role, Steve works closely with customers to provide professional services including business process and business re-engineering consulting, in addition to software development work. Prior to working with Astea, Steve spent 13 years working for Repco Equipment Company firstly in the capacity of National Service Coordinator and then as National Technical Manager. In these roles Steve had the responsibility of managing field technicians nationally, managing computer repair facility, product software development and enhancement, training for service personnel as well as customer relations. From 1985 until 1987 Steve worked for a few companies as an Electronics Technician refining his equipment service and repair skills. Steve holds an Associate Diploma of Electrical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration degree and is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science (Computing) degree from Macquarie University.

Michael Tsai joined Astea in May 2003 in the role of Financial Controller, Asia Pacific. In this role, Michael assumes the responsibility of all financial activity for the Asia Pacific region, bringing to this position over 10 years of experience within the IT&T industries. Prior to starting with Astea Michael held positions in financial management with companies such as TPG Group, Edge technology Group and Global One Communications. Michael is a CPA and holds a Master Degree of Commerce in Professional Accounting from the University of NSW and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Manilla, Philippines.

As managing director, EMEA, Mark is responsible for growing Astea's business in the European, Middle Eastern and African regions. He brings tremendous drive, energy and substantial operational and commercial experience to Astea, having run a variety of UK/EMEA operations as either CEO, Managing Director or General Manager for Information Builders Inc, Bachman Information Systems Inc, Bluestone Software/HP, Aonix Europe/THALES and eGrail Inc/FILENET. More recently he has acted as an advising and business consultant to a variety of Venture Capital firms and "angel" investors, assisting them in the restructure of data management/database vendors, real-time data management providers and multi-media/telecommunications enterprises. Mark is a qualified Accountant and studied business and computer management at Southampton University.

Mr. Peters joined Astea’s Board of Directors in June 2000 and is a member of the Audit Committee. He is also president of Tellstone LLC, a firm founded by Mr. Peters in 1995. Tellstone is a management-consulting firm that specializes in advising executive management of middle market companies and high growth ventures on strategies for growth, profit improvement and increased valuation. Previously, he held various executive positions at Siemens AG, Federale Investment Holdings, Arthur Andersen Consulting and IBM. His experience includes general management, marketing and sales, and finance across a broad spectrum of markets. Mr. Peters studied mathematics, physics and engineering at the University of Stellenbosch, and management at Harvard Business School.
