Austin Beutel is the co-founder of Beutel Goodman and Company (1967) and served as President and later Chairman until his retirement in 1994. Since retirement, he has enjoyed a successful career as a corporate director. He is the Chairman of Oakwest Corporation Ltd., a private family holding/ investment company based in Toronto. He is Chair of the Audit Committee of Accord Financial (Asset-Based Lending, TSX Listed); Aecon Group (Construction, TSX Listed); and Astral Media Inc. (TSX Listed). Austin was also previously involved with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto as a Trustee (1985-95) and the Chairman (1992-95).
