In January 2004, Astralis Ltd received its first patent from the United States Patent Office. This achievement has resulted from the quality and focus of our therapeutic research and development. Astralis intends to continue its growth through discovery and development of its own innovative products. "Strategic partnerships" will allow the company to develop and commercialize its products more efficiently and effectively. Astralis is dedicated to developing novel treatments for immune system disorders and skin diseases. The company's products and development programs address a variety of key medical needs in areas such as dermatology and rheumatology. The company has one product in clinical development, and has pre-clinical focus in areas including eczema, rheumatoid arthritis, and leishmaniasis. PSORAXINE , for the treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis is currently in Phase II clinical trials. The company's capabilities and capacity for protein manufacturing are also first-rate in quality. The company has established both its corporate headquarters and an R&D facility in New Jersey. The lab facility was renovated to include a state-of-the-art production area for Phase I and Phase II clinical supplies, as well as a fully equipped research and development area. A History and Politics graduate who has spent over twenty years in the recruitment industry, Mark formed Astralis with Steve O'Brien in 1999 having previously acted as Board Director and head of the HR Practice of a major consultancy. Historically, whilst his experience covers multi-functional recruitment at all levels, in more recent years there has been an increasingly strong focus towards Human Resources across a range of vertical market sectors and encompassing both generalist and specialist roles, predominantly at senior management and director level. Particular areas of expertise lie in the fields of change management, employee relations and reward strategy whilst, geographically, assignments have been conducted in Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and the Caribbean as well as the UK. Internally Mark has responsibility for both corporate marketing strategy and the development of key alliances with other organisations as well as increasing participation in and contribution to industry leading initiatives.

Dr. Krueger has served on our Medical Advisory Board since November 24, 2003. Dr Krueger is a Professor of Dermatology at the University of Utah School of Medicine, and a leading expert in psoriasis. Dr. Krueger has served as the principal investigator of over 90 clinical trials, mostly on psoriasis, over the past 25 years. Dr. Krueger also consults for the FDA on psoriasis. Dr. Krueger recently completed a 10-year term as chairman of the Medical Advisory Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation and continues to serve on the Executive Committee of the Dermatology Foundation. Dr. Krueger has been elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society of Medicine. He has received the Taub International Award for psoriasis research, The American Skin Association Award for psoriasis research, and the National Psoriasis Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award and Founders Award.

Manuel Tarabay. Mr Tarabay has served as one of our Directors since August 19, 2005. Mr. Tarabay joined the Board in connection with the investment of $2 million by Blue Cedar. He serves as Blue Cedar's representative on the Board in accordance with the terms of Blue Cedar's investment which closed on August 19, 2005. Mr.Tarabay also acts as financial advisor to several investors who reside in the Middle East and Europe. During his 25 year career in Finance he has had various assignments throughout the world with Merrill Lynch, JPMorgan, Bankers Trust, Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette, and Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Tarabay holds a B. A. Degree.in Mathematics (Computer Sciences) from Dartmouth College; a M. S. Degree in Computer Electronics Engineering from the Jesuit School of Engineering in Beirut; and an MBA Degree in Finance from Insead in Fountainbleau.

Mr. Ashton has been a director of the Company since September 2004 and serves as the Chairman of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees. Mr. Ashton is the Chief Executive Officer of SkyePharma PLC, an international drug delivery company, based in England since 1998. Following an early career in Corporate Sales, Steve has gained many years' experience of working within the recruitment industry culminating in his last position as a board director, and head of the IT & Telecommunications sector, for a major recruitment consultancy. He left in the summer of 1999 to form the specialist consultancy, Astralis Group PLC, with Mark Knapper. As a director of Astralis, Steve has responsibility for the operational management of the business together with his role as a lead consultant. Steve has worked for a broad range of clients in all commercial business sectors, with specific knowledge of technology-oriented businesses. Steve has particular expertise in taking a highly analytical and consultative approach to resourcing, thinking outside of the box and challenging the status quo. Whilst Steve has utilised many methodologies, most of his work at Astralis is focussed upon Executive Search and Internet sourcing. His experience covers a wide range of functions, but he has particular expertise recruiting commercial based skillsets such as Sales, Account and Bid management together with senior level specialists in Business Process Improvement, Quality, and Programme Management. Steve is married with two children and lives in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire. His interests include gourmet cooking, wine, travel, rugby and football.
