Asyst Technologies

Stephen S. Schwartz has served as our Chairman of the Board since January 2003. He has been a director since August 2002 when he was elected to the board in conjunction with his appointment as our President and Chief Executive Officer. He joined Asyst in January 2001 as Senior Vice President, Product Groups and Operations and became Executive Vice President, Product Groups and Operations in October 2001. Prior to joining us, he served as President of Consilium, a software company and wholly-owned subsidiary of Applied Materials, Inc., from May 1999 to January 2001. Between May 1997 and May 1999, Dr. Schwartz served as Vice President and General Manager of Applied Materials’ Global Service Business, a supplier of products and services to the global semiconductor industry. From September 1992 to May 1999, Dr. Schwartz also served as General Manager of Applied Materials’ High Temperature Films Division. From 1987 to 1992, Dr. Schwartz held various marketing, business development and engineering positions at Applied Materials. He has been a director of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International, or SEMI, since July 2003.

Aaron Tachibana joined Asyst in June 2004 as a division controller. He has served Asyst as Vice President, Finance, and Principal Accounting Officer from June 2007 to August 2008, Senior Director, FP&A and Operational Finance from January 2005 to June 2007, and Division Controller from June 2004 to January 2005. Prior to joining Asyst, he was Vice President, Corporate Planning & Development of Allied Telesyn; Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of TapCast, Inc.; and Vice President, Controller of TeraStor Corporation. He also held financial management positions with Maxtor Corporation and was a member of the Financial Management program at the General Electric Company. Mr. Tachibana holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration-finance, from San Jose State University.

Geoffrey Ribar joins SiRF with over 20 years of semiconductor and finance experience, which includes nearly 10 years experience as a CFO. Geoff joins SiRF Technology from Matrix Semiconductor, where he was Chief Financial Officer. SanDisk recently acquired Matrix for approximately $250 million in stock and cash. He has prior experience as CFO at Asyst Technologies, IBEAM Broadcasting, Packard Bell NEC and NVIDIA, and as Vice President and Corporate Controller at AMD.

Michael A. Sicuro joined US Oncology Holdings, Inc. and US Oncology, Inc. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, in September, 2008. Prior to joining US Oncology, Mr. Sicuro was employed since January 2007 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Asyst Technologies, Inc., a global automation and technology company. From 2004 until 2006, Mr. Sicuro was employed as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of Progressive Gaming International Corporation, a global supplier of integrated casino and jackpot management solutions for the gaming industry. From 2001 until 2004, Mr. Sicuro was employed as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of Lightspan, Inc., an educational software and internet company. Prior to that time he served in financial and executive capacities at various companies in the technology, financial and healthcare industries.

Paula LuPriore was named a Senior Vice President of Asyst in February 2007. She joined the company in 2002 as Vice President and General Manager, Software, and later assumed additional leadership responsibility for the company's factory interface and RFID products. Prior to joining Asyst, LuPriore worked at IBM and held several increasingly senior and vice president positions in software and hardware engineering, product management and marketing, and professional services. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics.

Hitoshi Kawano was named a Senior Vice President of Asyst in February 2007. He has served as President of what is now Asyst Technologies Japan since its founding as a joint venture in October 2002.

Steve Debenham joined Asyst in September 2003 as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary. Before joining Asyst, he was with myCFO, Inc., a financial services firm, most recently as its Senior Vice President and General Counsel. He earlier served as assistant general counsel for Lam Research. Prior to joining Lam, Mr. Debenham was in private practice with the law firm of Jackson Tufts Cole & Black, LLP, most recently as a partner with its Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Debenham is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of California, Hastings College of Law.

Tom Leitzke was named a Senior Vice President of Asyst in February 2007. Since joining Asyst in 2004 as Vice President, Operations, Mr. Leitzke has led a team that is responsible for improving the company's operational performance and customer satisfaction. He was previously a senior operations executive for Siemens Information Systems, Applied Materials, Inc., and Silicon Graphics, Inc. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology.

Mr. Wilson has served as a director of Asyst since January 1995. Since October 2000, he has been a business consultant. From 1989 until he retired in October 2000, Mr. Wilson held numerous management positions at Solectron Corporation, a provider of electronics manufacturing and integrated supply chain services, most recently as its Senior Vice President, Business Integration. There are no family relationships amongst any of our directors or executive officers.

Mr. McNamara has served as a director of Asyst since October 1999. He currently is President and Chief Executive Officer of LVI Services, Inc., an emergency response and environmental remediation company. Mr. McNamara also currently serves as a consultant to the Fluor Corporation, an engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance company. He recently retired as Senior Group Executive of Fluor, a position he held beginning in 2004. From 2001 to 2004 he served as Group Executive of Fluor. From June 1999 to 2001, he served as Group President of the Manufacturing and Life Sciences Strategic Business Unit of the Fluor Daniel division of Fluor Corporation. From October 1996 to June 1999, Mr. McNamara served as a Vice President of Fluor Daniel. Prior to such time, he served as President and Chief Operations Officer of Marshall Contractors from 1982 until Marshall was acquired by Fluor Corporation in October 1996.

Stanley Grubel has served as a director since January 1997. He served as a Vice President and General Manager of Philips Semiconductor Manufacturing, Inc. from June 2000 until his retirement in 2002. Prior to such time, he served as Chief Executive Officer of MiCRUS from September 1994 through June 2000. Between January 1990 and September 1994, he served in various executive positions for IBM. Since May 1999, he has served on the board of directors of CH Energy Group.

Tsuyoshi Kawanishi has served as a director of Asyst since June 2003. He currently also serves on the boards of SMIC, the largest semiconductor foundry in the Peoples Republic of China, TCS Japan and Future Technology Design, a Singapore-based IC-design company. He is also the chairman of The Society of Semiconductor Industry Seniors in Japan. Mr. Kawanishi served on the board of Applied Materials from 1994 to 2001 and Chartered Semiconductor Ltd. from 1995 to 1999. He previously served on the Asyst board from 1996 to 2001. He is a former executive senior vice president and director of Toshiba Electronic Co., Ltd.

William Simon has served as a director since January 2005 and in October 2005 was appointed Chair of the Audit Committee, serving as the audit committee financial expert. He was a national managing partner of the accounting firm KPMG LLP until his retirement in 1999. Prior to that time, he served in various executive positions for KPMG, including national managing partner of the firm's manufacturing, retailing and distribution practice, area managing partner of the pacific southwest region, partner in charge of the management consulting practice, and partner in charge of the firm's audit practice. After retiring from KPMG, Mr. Simon served for three years as executive vice president, international consulting, for BearingPoint, Inc. (formerly KPMG consulting). From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Simon was a member of the board of directors of Duane Reade, Inc., where he served as chair of its audit committee and was designated as its audit committee financial expert.
