Ruben J. King-Shaw, Jr. has served as a member of our Board of Directors since 2005 and was named Lead Director in 2007. Mr. King-Shaw is the Chairman and CEO of Mansa Equity Partners, Inc., which he founded in 2005. From January 2003 to August 2003, Mr. King-Shaw served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Department of the Treasury. From July 2001 to April 2003, Mr. King-Shaw served as Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). From January 1999 to July 2001, Mr. King-Shaw served as Secretary of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Before then, Mr. King-Shaw was the Chief Operating Officer of Neighborhood Health Partnership, Inc. and the Executive Director of the JMH Health Plan. Mr. King-Shaw serves on numerous boards of directors, including the Scripps Florida Corporation, and is a Trustee of the University of Massachusetts. Mr. King-Shaw obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, a Master in Health Services Administration from Florida International University and a Master of International Business from the Chapman Graduate School of Business and the Center for International Studies in Madrid, Spain.

As Chief of Staff, Pooser is the member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for developing athenahealth's human capital development and management strategy, in addition to building the people infrastructure, which reflects and reinforces athenahealth's unique, teaching and learning culture. In this capacity, she is responsible for the management of the Human Resource, Training, Knowledge Management and Facilities functions. Pooser joined athenahealth in 1998 and built the HR function, leading it through the company's dramatic expansion from 10 to 200 employees. From 2002 through 2003, in her capacity as Compliance Officer, she managed athenahealth's successful effort to comply with the HIPAA privacy regulations. More recently, she led the firm's efforts to create a knowledge management function and to build out athenahealth's new headquarters at the Arsenal on the Charles, in Watertown.

Carl B. Byers is our Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Byers joined athenahealth at its founding in 1997. Prior to joining athenahealth, Mr. Byers served as a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton. Mr. Byers obtained a Bachelor of Arts in the College of Social Studies from Wesleyan University and was a Business Fellow at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.

David E. Robinson is athenahealth's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and oversees all service and technology operations. Mr. Robinson joined the Company in February 2009 and brings over 30 years of executive experience in the financial software and services industry. In his most recent position, he was Executive Vice President of SunGard Data Systems, where he was responsible for a SunGard Division comprised of over 30 companies serving the financial services industry with annual revenue exceeding $700 million. During his tenure at SunGard Data Systems, Mr. Robinson held the position of President of SunGard Investment Systems and also served as a Group Chief Executive Officer.Mr. Robinson holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and BS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Rob Cosinuke is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for athenahealth. Mr. Cosinuke will lead the Company's marketing and product development initiatives. Prior to joining athenahealth, Mr. Cosinuke was a Co-Founder and a regional President of Digitas, Inc., one of the world's leading digital marketing and media companies.

Leslie Locke is our Senior Vice President of People and Process. Ms. Locke has served in several capacities since joining athenahealth in 1998, including operational and product roles. Prior to joining athenahealth, Ms. Locke held various roles in integrated delivery systems operations at Lovelace Health Systems. Ms. Locke obtained a Bachelors of Arts from Colorado College and a Masters in Heath Administration from Washington University.

Nancy G. Brown is our Senior Vice President of Business Development and Government Affairs. Ms. Brown joined athenahealth in 2004. From 1999 to 2004, Ms. Brown served McKesson Corporation as Senior Vice President. Before McKesson, Ms. Brown was co-founder of Abaton.com. Prior to that, Ms. Brown worked for Harvard Community Health Plan in various senior management roles over a five year period. Ms. Brown obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University.

Robert M. Hueber is our Senior Vice President of Sales. Mr. Hueber joined athenahealth in 2002. From 1984 to 2002, Mr. Hueber served IDX Systems Corporation as Vice President and National Director of Sales and most recently as Vice President of Sales for the Enterprise Solutions Division. Prior to joining IDX, Mr. Hueber served as Senior Marketing Representative at Raytheon Data Systems and as a Sales Executive for Exxon Enterprises. Mr. Hueber obtained a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northeastern University.

Daniel H. Orenstein is our Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Orenstein joined athenahealth in 2004 and previously served as Deputy General Counsel. Prior to joining athenahealth, Mr. Orenstein practiced corporate and health care law with law firms in Boston and Washington, D.C., and is a member of the American and Boston Bar Associations and the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Dave started his career in the Navy, joining the nuclear-powered submarine force after graduation from the US Naval Academy. He served on the fast-attack ship USS Baltimore and led a shift of staff and students at a training reactor plant before leaving the service. After the military, Dave was a consultant at KPMG Peat Marwick's Federal Services Group before following his love of computer technology into an IT position at Polaroid corporation. Dave attended the MIT Sloan from 1997-1999, actively participating in the entrepreneurial community and the MIT $50K Competition. Following MIT Sloan, Dave joined Intel in Oregon, where he managed the product marketing team in Intel's motherboard division. He and his family returned to the Boston area in 2002, where he works as Director of Claims Submissions for Athena Health, a rapidly growing electronic services provider to the health care industry. Dave has a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the US Naval Academy, an M.S. in Computer Science from New York University and an M.B.A. from MIT Sloan.

Josh Purinton is a senior developer at Athena Health and is the technical lead for the eligibility-checking system of their flagship Web-based practice management software. As president of his own consulting company, he has served as the chief technical director for The Daily Source, helping to design the site architecture, hire developers for the project and advise on site problems. His consulting has also led him to writing a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol management application in Ruby on Rails for a broadband Internet service provider, in addition to other system development roles. Previously Purinton worked for BBN Planet and Genuity where he wrote tools to manage Genuity's data centers and Internet connectivity services.

Richard Foster is the Managing Partner of Millbrook Management Group, LLC. Prior to forming Millbrook Management Group, Mr. Foster was with McKinsey & Company, for 31 years, 22 of which were as a senior partner and director. Mr. Foster's most recent position at McKinsey was as the leader of McKinsey's Private Equity practice. Prior to that Mr. Foster co-founded the Firm's high technology practice in the late 1970s, the chemicals practice in the early 1980s, and the healthcare practice in the late 1980s. Mr. Foster also led McKinsey's worldwide knowledge development efforts from 1995 to 1998. While at McKinsey, Mr. Foster served more than 50 leading global companies primarily in healthcare, electronics and chemicals. He devoted most of his time to the top management of a Fortune 50 healthcare company where he was a lead external advisor from 1990 2003. Mr. Foster has written two best selling business books: Innovation: The Attacker's Advantage (1986) and Creative Destruction (2001), that focus on the relationships between technological change, innovation and capital formation and destruction. Mr. Foster is a member of the board and the Executive and Nominating Committees of Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, where he is Chairman of the Operational Policy Committee. He is a member of the board and the Executive Committee of the W. M. Keck Foundation. He is a member of the CEO Council of the New York Academy of Science. Mr. Foster also serves on the Advisory Board of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. Mr. Foster is a member of the board of the Trust Company of the West, Athenahealth, a private healthcare information company, Cardax an inflammatory disease drug development corporation and Hawaii Biotech, an infectious disease company and Cardax an inflammatory disease drug development corporation. Mr. Foster is a member of the board of the Council of Foreign Relations where he member of the Nominating and Membership Committees of the board. In 1999 2000, Mr. Foster led the Study Group on National Innovation and Economic Power which led to the publication of Technological Innovation and Economic Performance (Steil, Victor, and Nelson, editors, Princeton University Press, 2001). Mr. Foster has been a frequent participant in the Highlands Forum (Department of Defense) and the St. Michael's Forum (US Intelligence Science Board). Mr. Foster received his BS, MS, and PhD from Yale University in Engineering and Applied Science.

Ann Huntress Lamont has been with Oak Investment Partners since 1982 and became a General Partner in 1986. Ann focuses on healthcare and financial information technology and services. Ann's more recent investments include American Esoterics, United BioSource, Athenahealth, Patient Care, Psychiatric Solutions and Vesta. Prior services investments include Odyssey Healthcare, Pacific Dental Benefits, Radiant Research and Oaktree/Oxford Health. Earlier in Ann's venture career, she developed a number of successful information technology and biopharmaceutical investments. Prior to joining Oak, Ann was a research associate with Hambrecht & Quist, and received her BA in Political Science from Stanford University.

Brandon has served on the boards of numerous healthcare and medtech companies, and currently serves as a director of AthenaHealth, CardioOptics, Replication Medical, CodeRyte, and Fluidnet and is a board observer at AccentCare. Brandon received his BA in Philosophy and Literature from Wheaton College and his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania..
