Suzanne Sitherwood was named senior vice president, Southern Operations in November 2004. Primary among her responsibilities is executive oversight of the three utilities – Atlanta Gas Light, Chattanooga Gas and Florida City Gas. Prior to this role, Sitherwood served as vice president of gas operations and capacity planning, a position she held since June 2002. As vice president, Sitherwood directed the natural gas distribution infrastructure, gas control, gas measurement, marketer relations, customer-related services, interstate pipeline relationships, asset management, and management of storage facilities. Sitherwood joined Atlanta Gas Light over 25 years ago as a co-op student in the cathodic protection group. She has held a variety of positions including vice president of engineering, environmental, and construction, chief engineer, director of competition planning, director of rates and regulatory affairs, and director of residential markets. A graduate of Southern College of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering technology, Sitherwood also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Brenau University. Sitherwood currently serves on the Governor’s Energy Policy Council and the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board. Sitherwood is 2010 chair-elect, an officer and board member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, past chair of Environment & Energy Committee and general co-chair of the GA Initiative. She is also serving on the board of the Children’s Health Care of Atlanta and currently serves as chair of the Children's Wellness & Legislative Board Committee, Atlanta New Century School Advisory Board and The Carter Center Board of Councilors. She was also recently appointed to the new Atlanta Dream Advisory Board. Sitherwood is a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of United Way and a co-chair for the Atlanta Regional Council (ARC) 50 Forward Program. She also served on the boards of the American Cancer Society, Clean Air Campaign, Emory Hospital Visiting Committee, Atlanta Woman Advisory Board, Livable Communities Coalition, Neighborhood Development Partnership, Inc., Governor’s Task Force on Transportation and AID Atlanta. She has also served on the board at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia for four years. Sitherwood believes strongly in giving back to the community and is involved in many volunteer activities (AIDS Walk, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, Relay for Life, United Way and other organizations). Sitherwood lives in Buckhead with her husband.

Bryan Batson was named senior vice president, Governmental and Regulatory affairs in January 2008. Primary among his responsibilities is executive oversight and coordination of all governmental and regulatory matters that impact the company’s regulated utilities: Atlanta Gas Light, Elizabethtown Gas, Florida City Gas, Virginia Natural Gas, Chattanooga Gas and Elkton Gas, as well as oversight of economic development and regulatory compliance. In his new role Batson is responsible for ensuring a cohesive strategic focus between all company functions that interface with the company’s various external constituencies. In addition, he also participates in promoting the company’s involvement in public policy matters. Prior to this role, Batson served as senior vice president, external affairs since July 2005, vice president, regulatory compliance and affairs, a position he held since June 2002. He has 25 years of professional experience with AGL Resources and has held various positions including division engineer, manager of measurement, Augusta division manager and service center manager. Batson previously served as director of state regulatory affairs representing the company before the Georgia Public Service Commission. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clemson University and is a registered professional engineer. He also holds a master’s degree in technology management from Mercer University. Batson has served on a variety of non-profit and industry boards and currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club metro Atlanta. Steve Lindsey was named vice president and general manager for Chattanooga Gas and Atlanta Gas Light Operations on February 1, 2005. In his new position, Lindsey is responsible for the day-to-day operations and market development of Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas. He is also responsible for executive oversight of Chattanooga Gas, including its operations, marketing and regulatory affairs. Prior to this move, Lindsey served as vice president of operations for Chattanooga Gas. Lindsey’s career at AGL Resources began in 1989. He has held a variety of positions within AGL Resources subsidiary Atlanta Gas Light, including: managing director – marketing, new business & marketer services; managing director, field operations; manager, engineering & new construction supervisor; distribution engineer; and commercial and industrial representative. Lindsey is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Chattanooga, the Tennessee Gas Association and the Atlanta Committee for Progress (ACP) Governmental Affairs Council. He also serves as a board member for the Atlanta Union Mission and the Liveable Community Coalition. Lindsey, his wife and their two children reside on Signal Mountain, Tenn.
