Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent first arrived on the Mid-Continent scene when its parent, Atlas Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE symbol APL), acquired the Velma Gas Processing Plant and its 2,000 mile gathering system. The Velma system stretches primarily across Stephens, Carter and Love Counties, Oklahoma, but also includes parts of Grady, Garvin, Jefferson and Marshall Counties, Oklahoma as well as Montague and Cooke Counties, Texas. The Velma gas plant is capable of processing up to 100 million cubic of natural gas per day. With over 45,000 h.p. of compression, Atlas remains a highly competitive provider of low pressure service in the Velma area.
