"Bob Best was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Atmos Energy Corporation in March 1997. Before joining Atmos Energy, Best was Senior Vice President, Regulated Businesses, of Consolidated Natural Gas Company from 1996 to 1997 and President of Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation from 1992 to 1995. From 1985 to 1995, Best was President of Texas Gas Transmission Corporation. He was Vice President and General Counsel of Texas Gas from 1981 to 1985 and Senior Attorney from 1974 to 1981. Best, a native of Indiana, earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and a J.D. degree from the University of Indiana."

David Gates was named president of the Mississippi Division in May 2007. Gates served as vice president of Operations for the Kentucky/Mid-States Division from 2003 to 2007. Previously he was vice president of Operations for the West Texas Division. Gates joined Atmos Energy in 1991 as a manager of engineering and later became vice president of Technical Services in the West Texas Division. Gates holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Texas Tech University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

"Gary Schlessman was named President of Greeley Gas Company, predecessor to the Colorado-Kansas Division, in 1993. Schlessman began his career with Greeley Gas Company in 1979 and held various positions including service and construction in the Canon City division and Manager of the Florence division. He was named Director of Marketing in 1982 and Vice President of Marketing for Greeley in 1992. Schlessman, a native of Denver, earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. He has been a trustee and officer of the Schlessman Family Foundation since 1990. He served on the board of directors of the Colorado Energy Assistance Foundation from 1994 to 1996 and was President of the Rocky Mountain Gas Association in 1994. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Central YMCA in Denver."

"Gary Gregory was named President of the West Texas Division in July 2004. Previously, he had been Vice President, Technical Services, of the Colorado-Kansas Division since July 2000. Gregory joined Atmos Energy as an engineering manager for Energas Company, the predecessor to the Texas Division, in 1995. Earlier, he had worked in various engineering and operations positions at Entex in Houston. He currently serves as chairman of Atmos Energy's Utility Operations Council, which coordinates companywide operational matters. Gregory holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Houston."

"Kevin Akers was named president of the Kentucky/Mid-States Division in May 2007. Akers served as president of the Mississippi Division from 2002 to 2007. Previously, he had led the Mississippi Valley Gas transition team for Atmos Energy while serving as vice president of Northern Region Operations for Atmos Energy's Louisiana Division. From 1997 to 2001, he served as vice president of Eastern Region Operations for Atmos Energy's Kentucky Division. Akers joined Atmos Energy in 1991 as an engineer and worked as a large-volume sales engineer and as an assistant district manager in Kentucky. From 1989 to 1991, he served as senior gas engineer for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Akers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Alabama."

"John Paris was named president of the Mid-Tex Division in May 2007. Paris is responsible for Atmos Energy's largest division with 1.5 million customers. Previously, Paris served as president of the Kentucky/Mid-States Division, which was the largest Atmos Energy territory until the acquisition of the Mid-Tex Division. Paris joined Atmos Energy in 1985 and held numerous positions in operations, marketing and engineering. Paris graduated from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history."

"Dick Erskine was named president of Atmos Pipeline - Texas when Atmos Energy acquired TXU Gas in 2004. Atmos Pipeline - Texas is one of the largest intrastate natural gas pipelines in Texas, covering more than 6,000 miles. He was also named president of Atmos Pipeline and Storage, LLC, with the completion of Atmos Energy's acquisition of TXU Gas. During this same time, from 2005 to 2007, Erskine served as president of the Mid-Tex Division. Erskine formerly was vice president of natural gas supply and marketing for TXU Gas. He joined Lone Star Gas Company, the predecessor to TXU Gas, in 1974, and held management and executive positions in commercial and operational areas, including gas transportation services, planning, gas control, reservoir engineering and gas supply. Erskine has a business administration degree from the University of North Texas and is active in many natural gas industry associations."

Tom Hawkins was named President of the Louisiana Division in July 2004. He previously had been President of Energas Company, the predecessor to the Texas Division, since October 2000. Hawkins joined Atmos Energy in 1997 as Vice President of Planning and Budgeting. Previously, Hawkins was Vice President of Finance and Planning with the former United Cities Gas Company. He joined United Cities in 1988 as Vice President of Finance. From 1978 to 1988, Hawkins worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. where he managed audits and financial consulting engagements. He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee and has completed The University of Tennessee Executive Development Program.

"Rich Gius was named vice president and chief information officer in 2007. He previously worked for Cardinal Health, Inc., where he had been CIO and senior vice president of information technology for Allegiance Healthcare, the company's medical products and services group, and senior vice president of enterprise solutions for its shared services IT organization. In 2003, he was named by Computerworld magazine as a Premier 100 IT Leader, recognizing IT leaders who have applied information technology in effective, creative and innovative ways to advance their organization's strategy. He also was honored as a 1999 national finalist for the Computerworld Smithsonian Business Technology Award. From 1979 to 1982, he held positions in both marketing and technology at Boise Cascade Corporation. Gius earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago."

Chris Forsythe joined Atmos Energy in June 2003, and was promoted to Director, Financial Reporting in September 2003. He was promoted to Vice President and Controller in May 2009. Prior to joining Atmos Energy, Forsythe was a senior manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he worked from 1993 to 2003. Chris is a graduate of Baylor University, where he received BBA degrees in accounting and management information systems.

Conrad Gruber was named Vice President, Strategic Planning, in July 2004. He had been named President in June 2001 of the Louisiana Division's predecessor, Atmos Energy Louisiana, which combined the former operations of Trans Louisiana Gas Company and Louisiana Gas Service Company. Previously, Gruber served as President of the former Western Kentucky Gas Division from 1999 to 2001. He began his career with Atmos Energy in February 1991 as Engineering and Measurement Coordinator in the Dallas headquarters.

"Jeff Hardgrave was promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Customer Service effective June 1, 2007. Prior to assuming this new role, Jeff was Vice President of Non-Metro Operations for the Mid-Tex Division, having responsibility for the distribution system serving approximately 550,000 customers outside the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex and for transmission pipeline-storage operations of Atmos Pipeline Texas. Jeff joined TXU Gas in April 1979 as a Compressor Operator and from that time forward he held numerous professional and leadership positions within TXU Gas until joining Atmos on October 1, 2004. Born in Corsicana, Texas in 1956, Jeff earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Dallas Baptist University. Jeff is involved in the communities Atmos serves, including Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics."

"Laurie Sherwood was named Vice President and Treasurer in February 2001. Sherwood joined Atmos Energy in May 1999 as Assistant Treasurer and was named Vice President and Treasurer in September 2000. Prior to joining Atmos Energy, Sherwood spent nearly 17 years at Oryx Energy Company in Dallas, serving as Manager, Corporate Finance, in her last position there. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Sherwood received an M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University."

Mark Bergeron was named vice president, gas supply and services, in January 2007. He is responsible for Atmos Energy Corporation's regulated gas supply, transportation and storage procurement activities as well as gas control operations in the 12 states of its utility operations. Previously, he had been senior vice president, utility services, for Atmos Energy Holdings, Inc. He joined Atmos Energy in July 2001 and held several positions with Atmos Energy Holdings. Bergeron has 23 years of natural gas industry experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management in 1997 and an executive master's degree in business administration in 1999 from the University of New Orleans.

Ron McDowell joined Atmos Energy in August 1997 as Vice President, New Business Ventures. Previously, McDowell served as Vice President, Gas Supply, at the former United Cities Gas Company from 1993 to 1997 and as Director of Gas Supply from 1989 to 1991. McDowell, a native of Missouri, earned a bachelor of science degree with a double major in physics and mathematics from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He also earned an M.B.A. degree from Western Illinois University.

Susan Giles was named vice president, investor relations, in October 2005. Previously, she had served as vice president, investor relations and corporate communications, since June 2002. She joined Atmos Energy in January 2002 as director, accounting services, and managed general accounting, plant accounting, accounts payable and payroll functions as well as nonregulated accounting. Before coming to Atmos Energy, Giles was responsible for financial reporting at Pioneer Natural Resources Company. She also had worked as team leader for business reporting at Nokia, Inc.; a senior professional accountant for Kerr-McGee Corporation, Oryx Energy and Sun Energy Partners; accounting manager for Dwight's Energydata, Inc.; and a public accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Giles has a master's degree in business administration with a finance concentration from the University of Dallas and a bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University of Missouri. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

"Junior Aston was named vice president, governmental affairs, in May 2003. He had been vice president of marketing for Atmos Energy's Texas Division. Aston joined the predecessor to the Texas Division in 1991 as a marketing representative. He was named the division's first manager of public affairs in 1997 and was promoted to vice president of marketing in 2000. Aston has worked in the oil and natural gas industry since 1980."

Louis Gregory joined Atmos Energy in September 2000 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Atmos Energy, Gregory served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the Lomas Financial Group. Previously, he practiced law with the firm of McManemin & Smith, where he specialized in short-term lending and real estate development. He was also a partner in the law firm of Gregory, Self & Beuttenmuller and was an associate with Jenkens & Gilchrist, both of Dallas. Gregory holds a bachelor of arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a J.D. degree from Texas Tech University School of Law.

Mark Johnson was named senior vice president, nonutility operations, of Atmos Energy Corporation in April 2006; he previously had served as vice president, nonutility operations, since October 2005. He also serves as president of Atmos Energy Holdings, Inc., and of Atmos Energy Marketing, LLC, a position he has held since April 2005. Earlier, he served as executive vice president of Atmos Energy Marketing with responsibilities for its natural gas trading and marketing operations. Johnson joined Atmos Energy Marketing's predecessor, Woodward Marketing, L.L.C., in 1992 as vice president of marketing and operations and was later promoted to senior vice president of marketing for the Midwest and Gulf Coast. He was named executive vice president of commercial operations in 2003. Johnson received a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas in 1982.

Mike Haefner joined Atmos Energy in June 2008 as a senior vice president. Haefner had been founder and president of the consulting firm Perform for Life, LLC. Previously, he had served for 10 years as senior vice president, human resources, at Sabre Holdings Corporation, the parent company of Sabre Airline Solutions, Sabre Travel Network and Travelocity. He also held leadership positions within Sabre from 1991 to 1997 while it was a division of AMR Corporation, the parent of American Airlines. Earlier, he had worked as an outside management consultant for Xerox Corporation and in computing research at Eastman Kodak Company. Haefner earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, and his master's degree in computer science from State University.

Ms. Quinn has served as a director since February 2009. Ms. Quinn is a principal of Hanover Capital LLC, a privately-owned advisory firm that provides financial and strategic services primarily to clients in the energy and natural resources industries. She has 27 years of experience in investment banking, serving as Executive Director of The Beacon Group, LP. (now a part of JP Morgan Chase) from 1996 to 2000, as Managing Director of PaineWebber Incorporated from 1994 to 1995, and as co-head of the natural resources and energy investment banking section of Kidder, Peabody & Co. from 1982 to 1992. Ms. Quinn currently serves on the board of directors of Endeavour International Corporation, an international oil and gas exploration and production company, and Atmos Energy Corporation, a distributer of natural gas. Ms. Quinn graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Louisiana State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Arkansas.

Robert C. Grable is a partner in Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP, the head of its Energy practice group, and one of the firm’s seven founding members. He obtained his bachelor of arts from Southern Methodist University in 1968 and graduated with high honors in 1971 from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Chancellors, an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review, and Grand Chancellor of his class. Mr. Grable’s practice consists largely, but not exclusively, of representing clients in litigation and administrative hearings involving various facets of the oil and gas industry. He has represented independent producers, major oil companies, pipelines, and royalty owners in a wide variety of litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts and before state and federal administrative agencies. He is counsel of record in over 30 appellate decisions, including five significant oil and gas opinions of the Texas Supreme Court, in all of which he represented the prevailing party. Although Mr. Grable’s practice principally involves legal matters arising in domestic on-shore activities, he also has represented clients in certain aspects of international oil and gas operations, including government concessions and operations in on-shore France, off-shore Bahrain, and Ras al Khaimah, a member of the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Grable is President and a Trustee for the University of Texas Law Foundation, as well as a member of the McDonald Observatory and Astronomy Board of Visitors at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the University of Texas Development Board and the Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee. Mr. Grable is also a former Chairman and member of the Management Committee of the Texas Ballet Theatre. Bob and his wife, Marty, have two grown children. Bob enjoys golf, reading, the visual and performing arts, and travel.
