Michael D. Dale has served as President and CEO of ATS Medical since joining the company in October 2002. He assumed the additional responsibilities of Chairman of the Board in May 2004. With more than 20 years experience in the medical device industry, Mr. Dale came to ATS Medical from Endocardial Solutions, Inc., St. Paul, where he was Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Global Sales for Cyberonics, Inc., Houston, and Managing Director of Cyberonics Europe S.A., Brussels. He has held marketing, sales and product management positions at St. Jude Medical, Inc., St. Paul, and St. Jude Medical Europe, Brussels. He began his career in sales at American Edwards Laboratories, Inc. (CVS and Critical Care Divisions), Lexington, Kentucky, and Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Dale serves on the board of directors of Neuronetics, Inc., Philadelphia. He holds a bachelors degree from California Polytechnic State University.
Eric W. Sivertson, 55, has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dymedix Corporation, which designs, manufactures and markets sensors to sleep labs worldwide, since December 2004. Prior to Dymedix, Mr. Sivertson was a partner in the Minneapolis office of DHR International Executive Search, which focuses on the medical device, diagnostic and healthcare supply industries, from 2003 to 2005. From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Sivertson was a partner at TMP/Highland Partners, an executive search firm. From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Sivertson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of netRegulus, Inc., a web-based regulatory and clinical information technology company. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Sivertson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Biocompatible Cardiovascular, Ltd. Preceding this, Mr. Sivertson served as Division President of International Cardiovascular and Cardiac Rhythm Management for St. Jude Medical, a medical device manufacturer and marketer, from 1985 to 1996. Mr. Sivertson started his career at American Hospital Supply Corporation and held various sales and marketing positions from 1976 to 1985, including as Vice President of Marketing for the Convertors Division. Mr. Sivertson was elected as a director of ATS Medical in January 2003. Mr. Sivertson also serves on the board of directors of Dymedix Corporation.

Michael R. Kramer was Senior Director of Finance and then Acting Chief Financial Officer at ATS Medical before becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2007. Prior to joining ATS Medical, he was an independent financial consultant to the company. His career includes Controller at CABG Medical, Inc., a cardiovascular device manufacturer, and Corporate Finance Manager at Ecolab, Inc., a developer and marketer of products and services to the hospital, foodservice, healthcare and industrial markets. He also was a manager in the assurance and advisory services practice at the professional services firm of Ernst & Young LLP.
Astrid M. Berthe was appointed Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance for ATS Medical in August, 2007. She was previously the Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for ATS Medical Tissue Operations. Over a 20 year career, Ms. Berthe has held leadership positions in the areas of Quality Systems, Regulatory, Compliance, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Regulatory Affairs at Baxter Healthcare, Medtronic and Isotis Orthobiologics.

Martin P. Sutter is one of the two founding managing directors of Essex Woodlands Health Ventures, one of the oldest and largest healthcare focused venture capital firms with nearly $3 billion under management. Mr. Sutter has more than 30 years of management experience in operations, marketing, finance and venture capital. Mr. Sutter currently serves on the Board of Directors of BioForm Medical, LaJolla Pharmaceuticals, and LifeCell Corporation, which is in the process of being acquired by Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (KCI). Maria Koullick joined ATS Medical in May 2009 as the Senior Director of Clinical Affairs. She has broad experience in clinical research, health economics, quality assurance, and biomedical engineering. Over a 20-year career, Maria has developed expertise in designing and executing scientifically sound trials in support of Premarket Applications and 510(k) submissions in medical devices in Classes II and III including cardiovascular and neurological applications. Before joining ATS Medical, she held leadership positions at Medtronic, Inc., in the Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management and Neurological divisions. Maria holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Organic Chemistry and a Doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering followed by a post doctoral study at the National Cardiovascular Center in Japan.

Henry J.M. Kuper was appointed to the ATS Medical executive team as Director, Sales Operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in October, 2007. He is responsible for the strategic, operational, sales and marketing activities in EMEA. He was previously the ATS Director of Sales for Eastern Europe and Benelux. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Kuper has held international leadership positions in Sales and Marketing at Eli Lilly & Company and St. Jude Medical, Inc and his geographic responsibilities have included Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. He holds a Bachelors Degree in General Nursing, Anesthesia, and followed MBA courses in Economics at the Herriot Watt University in Edinburg.
Robert E. Munzenrider, 61, is a retired financial and operating executive. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Munzenrider was President of Harmon AutoGlass, a subsidiary of Apogee Enterprises, Inc. In 1999, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Glass Services Segment of Apogee Enterprises. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Eliance Corp., an e-commerce service provider, during part of 1999. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Munzenrider served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of St. Jude Medical, Inc. From 1983 to 1997, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of three subsidiaries of Viad Corp. and predecessor companies, including Travelers Express Company, Inc., Restaura, Inc. and Bell Atlantic Systems Leasing, Int. (previously Greyhound Computer Corporation). Mr. Munzenrider is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Munzenrider also serves as a director on the boards of Viad Corp and CABG Medical, Inc., and is a Trustee on the University of Montana Foundation. Mr. Munzenrider was elected as a director of ATS Medical in June 2003.
Theodore C. Skokos, 58, was the chairman of the board and a stockholder of 3F Therapeutics. He also is the president of 3F Management, Inc., which serves as the general partner of 3F Partners Limited Partnership, and the president of 3F Management II, LLC, which serves as the general of 3F Partners Limited Partnership II, and the president and a stockholder of Cardiac Concepts, Inc. (a medical device company). Each of 3F Partners Limited Partnership, 3F Partners Limited Partnership II and Cardiac Concepts is a stockholder of 3F Therapeutics. Mr. Skokos was a practicing attorney from 1973 through 1994. Since his retirement, he has been involved in various business enterprises, including founding and serving as an officer of three entities involved in the cellular telephone business. Additionally, from 1999 to 2001, he served as chairman and president of The Flight Department, Inc., located in Aspen, Colorado, a privately held aircraft management and air charter company.
Steven M. Anderson , 46, has been President of Acorn Cardiovascular, Inc., a company developing implantable therapies for the treatment of heart failure, since October 2007. Prior to his appointment as President, Mr. Anderson was Vice-President of Clinical, Regulatory, Reimbursement and Quality of Acorn Cardiovascular since 2000. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Anderson served as Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical, Quality and Reimbursement at St. Croix Medical, Inc., a medical device company. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Anderson served as Director of the Medical Division for TUV Product Service, a European notified body for the Medical Device Directive. Between 1987 and 1996, Mr. Anderson served in several capacities at St. Jude Medical, Inc., a medical device manufacturer and marketer, most recently as Senior Manager of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs. From 1982 to 1986 he served in a development engineering position at Medtronic, Inc. Mr. Anderson is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School. Mr. Anderson was elected as a director of ATS Medical in May 2006.
