As President and CEO of Authoria, Jim directs the strategy, operations, and growth of the leading provider of comprehensive talent management solutions. Jim joined the company in November 2008, bringing 27 years of management and technology-industry experience, including a track record of identifying business opportunity, driving company growth, and delivering customer success. Additionally, Jim has significant skills in enhancing the market growth, customer commitment, and overall operational efficiency of several public software companies. Jim is excited at the prospect of expanding Authoria's leadership position in the fast-growing talent-management market. Prior to joining Authoria, Jim served as Chief Operating Officer of CDC Software, a global provider of enterprise software solutions and services. Earlier, he held several executive roles with Geac Computer Corp., a provider of enterprise business applications, and was Chief Financial Officer of Clarus Corporation, a business-to-business procurement-solutions provider. Jim holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and an M.B.A. in Finance from Bentley College. Jim is moving back to Boston, after enjoying many years of excellent golf in the Atlanta area.

Tod founded Authoria in 1997 and served as President and CEO until November 2008. As Chairman, Tod is responsible for Authoria's long term vision. Collaborating closely with Jim McDevitt and the Board, Tod plays an active role in defining future company strategy and serves as a frequent speaker on talent management industry trends. Tod came to high technology early, authoring his first of four books on technology at the age of 16. He taught at Harvard University for eight years, where he created and delivered the university's first courses in Internet commerce and in knowledge-based systems. Tod has served on several boards of directors including Neuralware and Cyclists Fighting Hunger. Tod received his bachelor's degree from Harvard University where he served as editor-in-chief of the Harvard International Review and has performed graduate work at both Harvard and Oxford University. His passions include cycling for cancer research, competitive rowing, blues guitar, and building great companies.

Steve is charged with overseeing Authoria's financial direction and is responsible for finance, accounting, facilities, and treasury management. Before joining Authoria, Steve served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Lionbridge Technologies, a $450-million publicly held software company. Steve played an active role in the tremendous growth of Lionbridge, from securing VC funding through the company's IPO and secondary offerings. Steve built a worldwide finance organization and managed 12 acquisitions, led the company through SEC reporting changes such as Sarbanes-Oxley, and served as the company's liaison with the investment community. Prior to this, Steve served as Vice President and CFO for The Dodge Group, an international software company, and as Vice President and Controller for Marcam Corporation, from its inception as a $3-million startup to a $325-million publicly held software company. Steve holds a B.A. in accounting from Skidmore College. For many years, Steve has been wanting to spend more time behind his camera.

Debbie leads the day-to-day operations for Authoria's solutions while continuing to expand Authoria's global operations strategy. Her responsibilities include On-Demand Operations, Customer Support, IT, Security and Bangalore Operations. Prior to joining Authoria, Debbie served as vice president of e-business operations for Centra Software, a publicly-traded online business collaboration company. Debbie was also vice president of worldwide operations for Natural Microsystems (NMSS), a publicly-traded communications and technologies systems company. Before joining NMSS she worked at Lotus Development Corporation for ten years. In 2008 she was honored by Mass High Tech as one of its Women to Watch, an annual selection of female leaders and innovators in science and technology. Debbie holds a bachelor's degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and is a member of The Boston Club. Debbie's family is originally from Japan and she enjoys her collection of Asian art.

Cathy is responsible for the development and implementation of Authoria's human resources strategies, including compensation and rewards programs, training and performance management, policies and procedures. In addition, she leads the company's recruitment efforts. Before joining Authoria, Cathy was manager of sales operations at Mathsoft, makers of software for applying mathematics to engineering and application-specific projects. Prior to Mathsoft, Cathy held sales management and human resources management positions at Centive, a software and services company in the enterprise incentive management market. Cathy received her Certificate of Accounting from Northeastern University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management. Cathy considers Austin her second home and thus has been nicknamed "The Sheriff."

Jim leads the product consulting, corporate sales, and inside sales groups within Authoria. In that capacity, he works closely with teams throughout the organization to drive sales execution by designing and implementing sales-support systems and methods. While at Authoria, Jim previously served as part of the organization's product management team. He started his career at Authoria in the professional services organization, managing the implementations of several early Authoria clients. Before joining Authoria, Jim held positions in organizational and communications consulting with Mercer HR Consulting and Towers Perrin. He also has taught at Boston College where he earlier earned a B.A. and an M.A.

Jim is responsible for Authoria's Security and Technical Operations, heading efforts to ensure Authoria's SaaS solution is delivered securely and reliably for all of our customers. Prior to joining Authoria, Jim was Vice President of OnDemand Services at Saba and Vice President of ASP Solutions at Centra Software. As a twenty-two year industry veteran, Jim's career also includes progressive technology management positions at Concentra Managed Care, BankBoston and Cincinnati Milacron. Jim received his B.S.C.S from Boston University. Jim is a lifelong sports enthusiast and in his spare time enjoys sports of all kinds.

Lee is presently a functional implementation consultant for Authoria Inc., the leading talent management solutions provider in the US. Lee provides implementation support, including data analysis, application configuration, and application customization, to their Fortune 1000 clients. Prior to his involvement with Authoria, Lee worked for Ocenture, a cutting edge computer support company. As an integral part of the Ocenture team, Lee focused on supplier technologies. Lee has a background in Psychology and Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). During his academic studies he created a successful computer consulting business, providing technical support for many local businesses and private entities. Lee Maliniak Computer Consulting has now been in business for over 6 years and continues to support some of Santa Barbara's best companies. In addition to consulting, Lee's technical proficiency was developed while working for Computer Science Corporation (CSC) at the Goleta, California Raytheon facilities as a desktop technician and network administrator.

Walter Mello is responsible for overseeing the global customer support organization and maintaining Authoria's reputation for superior customer service. Walter came to Authoria in December 2008 after 31 years in the hardware and software industry. Walter brings his knowledge in sales and marketing management, service delivery management and operations management to Authoria's already stellar customer service team. Prior to joining Authoria, Walter worked as the Director, Worldwide Managed Print Services for Hewlet Packard. During his five years at HP, he also worked as a director of Solutions and Partners for Technology Services in the Americas as well as Business Management and Planning for Technology Services. He also spent time with the Compaq Computer Corporation, Inc., Concentra Management Care, and 14 years with Digital Equipment Corporation where he was the District Service Manager. Walter received his MBA from Babson College, and his BS from Boston University. He has received the Circle of Excellence award five times and was selected to be a management representative for the 2004 MVP event. Walter spends most of his free time with his family in Medfield, MA and at their vacation home in Maine. Although he claims to not be any good, Walter enjoys the casual competition, the company of his son and beautiful settings that come with playing golf.

Chris Pacitti joined Austin Ventures in 1999 and focuses on software investing. Previously, Chris was with TL Ventures, where he was a vice president. Prior to TL Ventures, Chris was a co-founder and chief operating officer of a technology start-up company that pioneered several industrial applications for a novel oxidizing chemistry. Chris received his BA in economics from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Microsoft Venture Capital Advisory Board and the Entrepreneur's Foundation Board.

Mark Hastings focuses on equity investments in enterprise software and tech enabled services. Prior to joining CIBC Capital Partners, Mr. Hastings was a General Partner at BCI Partners, a multi-stage venture capital firm focused on investments in software, communications, technology enabled services and media. Prior to that, Mr. Hastings spent several years at Edison Ventures, an early stage technology venture capital firm as a member of the investment team providing growth capital to software and communications companies. Mr. Hastings is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts in Economics program at Colorado College and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

Bob brings extensive executive experience in founding and building technology businesses. His expertise in formulating and executing concept articulation, capital acquisition, product development, marketing and sales strategy, as well as organization planning, and financial/industry relations for public and private businesses provides a depth of experrtise not generally found in a marketing consultancy. Bob has over 30 years experience managing information and telecommunications start-ups focusing on world-wide marketing, sales and general management. He s built companies that became market innovators and leaders in their product categories including video conferencing, document-image processing, and metro optical networks. Over the past 13years, Bob has served as CEO and Founder of Coriolis Networks, Inc., in Boxborough, Massachusetts, the CEO and President, of VideoServer Corporation, Burlington, Massachusetts, and as Senior VP, World-wide Marketing, at FileNet Corporation in Costa Mesa, California. Pragmatic, strategic focused, and process oriented Bob s executive experience adds a unique dimension to creative marketing and technology innovation to build customer value and profitability. Bob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
