Michael E. Maroone has been President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company since August 1999, overseeing its day-to-day retail operations. He has served as a Director of the Company since July 2005. He is a second-generation automobile dealer who joined AutoNation in 1997 when it acquired the Maroone Group, his former South Florida-based group of dealerships. The group included one of the world's largest Chevrolet franchises, as well as Dodge, Ford, Oldsmobile, Jeep and Isuzu franchises, making it one of the top 500 privately-held companies in America, according to Forbes magazine. Today, AutoNation uses the "Maroone" brand as its local-market brand for its South Florida stores. Mike's industry accomplishments include being a past winner of the Ford Motor Co.'s Chairman's Award and a recipient of the "Quality Dealer" award from Time magazine.

Derek A. Fiebig joined AutoNation in November 2008 and has responsibility for the Company’s interactions and communications with financial analysts and investors. Prior to joining AutoNation, Mr. Fiebig was the Director of Investor Relations at Visteon Corporation from 2001 until November 2008. He also served as Visteon’s Assistant Treasurer – Investor Relations and Capital Markets from 2002 through 2005 – and was a member of the investment committee that had oversight of Visteon’s $1 billion of pension assets. Before joining Visteon, he was Director of Investor Relations for Lear Corporation and held various positions at DaimlerChrysler and Chrysler Corporation including investor relations and treasury-related functions. Mr. Fiebig received an MBA in finance from Indiana University in 1996 and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan in 1991.

Claire Cummings is the Secretary of AWARE. Claire is currently the Parts Wholesale Coordinator for John Elway/AutoNation Chrysler Jeep, which she started in this position in September 2005. Claire has been working in the automotive industry since she was 16 years of age, resulting in over 9 years of experience in the aftermarket business, and a passion to learn more! Claire started in the automotive industry working at various dealerships and with various associations, gaining basic knowledge of the business. From September 2001 to August 2005, Claire was the Service Advisor and head of Marketing/Business Development for Colchin Automotive, an automotive repair and service business. While working at Colchin, Claire received her AMI degree in January 2005, became an ASE Certified Service Advisor in 2004, as well as received both the Tom B. Babcox Award Scholarship in 2003 and the AC Delco Scholarship in 2002. Claire recently joined the Board of Directors for ASA-CO, serving to establish a "younger generation" program, dedicated to those in the automotive industry who are under the age of 30. T. Michael Casey is Vice President of Sales, Strategic Alliances. In his role Mr. Casey is responsible for the management of JM&A's alliances with such business partners as Volkswagen/Audi of America, Asbury Automotive, AutoNation, Group One, and Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC. He is also responsible for securing and maintaining new corporate relationships, as well as providing strategic direction for the company's development in this area. With more than 25 years of automotive experience, Mr. Casey began his sales career at JM&A Group in 1984 as an F&I Specialist in Virginia. He was quickly promoted to the position of Regional Manager in 1985. In 1988 he became a Division Manager and from there was promoted to Vice President, Sales overseeing JM&A's relationship with Southeast Toyota dealerships. Mr. Casey graduated from Catawba College, North Carolina, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Speech Communication.

Carlos A. Migoya has served as a Director of the Company since June 2006 and is a member of the Board's Audit Committee, Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, Compensation Committee and chairs its Executive Compensation Subcommittee. Since December 2007, Mr. Migoya has served as Regional President - North Carolina of Wachovia Corporation, a Wells Fargo Company. From June 2006 until December 2007, Mr. Migoya served as State CEO for the Atlantic Region of Wachovia Corporation. Irene Rosenfeld was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Kraft Foods in June 2006. She assumed the additional post of Chairman in March 2007, following Altria Group’s spin-off of Kraft. Irene is a 26-year veteran of the food and beverage industry and has a long history of bringing a consumer focus and innovation to building businesses. She began her career at Dancer Fitzgerald Sample advertising agency in New York and later joined General Foods in consumer research. Over the years, she advanced in a variety of leadership roles at Kraft. Among her many accomplishments, she led the restructuring and turnaround of key businesses in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and the highly successful integration of the Nabisco acquisition. Irene also served on the senior team that led Kraft’s Initial Public Offering in 2001. In 2004, Irene was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo, where she led her organization to accelerated growth in better-for-you products and developed a pipeline of health and wellness offerings. Irene is active in a number of industry and community organizations, including The Economic Club of Chicago. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the Cornell University Board of Trustees. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and Statistics, a Master of Science in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cornell University. Director since June 2006.

Mr. Robert R. Grusky is the Founder and Managing Member of Hope Capital Management, LLC, an investment manager, since 2000. He co-founded New Mountain Capital, LLC, a private equity firm, in 2000 and was a Principal and Member from 2000 to 2005, and has been a Senior Advisor since then. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Grusky served as President of RSL Investments Corporation. From 1985 to 1997, with the exception of 1990 to 1991 when he was on a leave of absence to serve as a White House Fellow and Assistant for Special Projects to the Secretary of Defense, Mr. Grusky served in a variety of capacities at Goldman, Sachs & Co., first in its Mergers & Acquisitions Department and then in its Principal Investment Area. Johnson is the Founder and Chairman of The RLJ Companies, which owns or holds interests in companies operating in the banking/financial services, real estate, hospitality, professional sports, film production, gaming and automotive industries. Mr. Johnson is the founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET), a subsidiary of Viacom and the leading African-American operated media and entertainment company in the United States, and served as its Chief Executive Officer until January 2006. In 2002, Mr. Johnson became the first African-American majority owner of a major sports franchise, the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA. From 1976 to 1979, he served as Vice President of Governmental Relations for the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA). Mr. Johnson also served as Press Secretary for the Honorable Walter E. Fauntroy, Congressional Delegate from the District of Columbia. He also serves on the following boards: KB Home, Lowe s Companies, Inc., NBA Board of Governors, Deutsche Bank Advisory Committee, The Business Council, The Johns Hopkins University, and the Smithsonian Institution s National Museum of African American History and Culture.
