Jim Furneaux has over 30 years of high technology investing, deal making, and entrepreneurship in a career that has spanned satellite technology development to investment banking to direct entrepreneurship as the founding CEO of a software tools company. Jim has been a major venture investor since 1977. Along the way he has been an initial venture investor in such successful public companies as Compaq Computer, Ashton Tate, the pioneer PC database company VMX, the early voice messaging company, and Aironet Wireless Communications. Jim has raised billions of dollars of growth capital for companies including Intel, Scientific Atlanta, Apple Computer, and many others, and has been an active participant in the early stage growth of these businesses.
