Julia A. Stewart, a 37-year veteran of the restaurant industry, serves as chairman and CEO of DineEquity, Inc. DineEquity is the world’s largest full-service restaurant company franchising and operating restaurants under the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar and IHOP Restaurant brands.
A proven leader, Ms. Stewart implemented significant shifts in strategy that resulted in revitalizing the IHOP brand and improving the overall financial performance of the business since joining the Company in December 2001. In 2007, Ms. Stewart led the acquisition of Applebee’s International, Inc., creating an industry leader with more than 3,400 locations.
Prior to joining DineEquity, Ms. Stewart served as President of the domestic division of Applebee's International, Inc. Before joining Applebee's, Ms. Stewart held several key executive positions with Taco Bell Corporation, including National Vice President of Franchise and License and Western Region Vice President of Operations. Over a 15-year period prior to Taco Bell, she held various key marketing positions with Stuart Anderson's Black Angus/Cattle Company Restaurants, Spoons Grill & Bar, Burger King Corp. and Carl's Jr. Restaurants.
Julia is a founding member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum and the recipient of numerous industry awards and serves on the Board of Avery Dennison and is a member of the UCLA Anderson School of Business Board of Visitors. Ms. Stewart, her two children, and her husband, Tim, reside in the Los Angeles area.

Anne Hill is senior vice president and chief Human Resources officer for Avery Dennison Corporation. She joined Avery Dennison in April 2007.
