Richard Longdon received an engineering training in the defence industry then gained experience in the project management of high value engineering projects. He moved into sales and held a series of international sales and marketing positions. He joined AVEVA in 1984 and, shortly afterwards, was made marketing manager for the process products. In January 1992 he relocated to Frankfurt, where he was responsible for setting up and running the group's German office. He returned to the UK as part of the management buyout team in 1994, taking responsibility for the group's worldwide sales and marketing activities, before being appointed Managing Director in May 1999. He took over as Group Chief Executive in December 1999.

Dave Wheeldon is Group Product Development Director for AVEVA Group plc. His responsibilities encompass all aspects of product strategy, product development and delivery of new products and product upgrades, including the VNET platform and the 3D Plant Design Management System (PDMS). He is responsible for the technical direction and software engineering processes that underpin the development of AVEVA's integrated engineering IT solutions. Wheeldon joined AVEVA (formerly known as CADcentre) in May 1981. His early work in the company fuelled a lifelong interest in the use of computers to solve design and data management problems. He held a number of development, product management and marketing positions before assuming his current responsibilities. Prior to joining Computer Aided Design Centre, Wheeldon spent three years researching advanced wastewater treatment technologies after achieving a first class degree in environmental chemical engineering.

On qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company, Philip pursued a career in investment banking as a Corporate Financier specialising in advising small and mid-market UK companies. He was appointed Advisory Director of Barclays Merchant Bank Limited in 1983 and since then has held the position of Corporate Finance Director with a number of banks including Old Mutual Securities and Hoare Govett Limited. He retired from Hoare Govett Limited in 2004. During 2005 and 2006, Philip was a Financial Consultant to OJSC Rosneft Oil Company, the Russian state-owned oil and gas company, until its successful flotation. He is the Senior Independent Director of Cadogan Petroleum plc, a Non-Executive Chairman of IP Plus PLC and is a Non-Executive Director of Dana Petroleum plc.

Colin worked as a corporate finance director for 15 years, principally with Albert E Sharp in Birmingham. Since the 1990's he has worked with fast moving technology businesses working across varied sectors including engineering, retail and construction. Included in his current roles he is a founder and Chairman of 3G Comms which is a Vodafone service provider to the SME market. He is Chairman of two venture capital backed companies, Pelikon and ZBD Displays and a director of AVEVA Group Plc, a listed business with a market capitalisation of approximately 200m. He also holds non-executive positions with an OFEX listed training company and an East Midlands private property group. Colin has wide experience of growing businesses, both organically and by acquisition to deliver shareholder value.

Brooks is a non-executive Director of Aveva Group plc (LSE), e2v technologies PLC (LSE) and Xyratex Limited (NASDAQ) . He is also a non-executive Director of Frontier Silicon Holdings Limited. Between 1995 and 2002 he was Chief Financial Officer and a Director of ARM Holdings plc. Before that, he performed a variety of financial roles for the Accor Group in London and Paris.
