MurrayMetzger brings to Avistar more than 11 years of experience in financial management, regulatory compliance and operations at technology organizations. Prior to joining Avistar, MurrayMetzger served as Assistant Controller of Centra Software, Inc., a provider of software solutions for online business communication, collaboration and learning. During his tenure at Centra from April 2004 to January 2006, MurrayMetzger successfully navigated the company's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance effort and all SEC reporting and compliance functions as the company reached profitability and was sold to Saba, Inc. in February 2006. Prior to Centra, MurrayMetzger worked for the technology audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers from February 2000 to March 2004. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness with a concentration in finance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Lauwers has been Avistar's CTO since February 2000. He was the company's vice president of engineering for five years before that. Before joining Avistar, he was principal software architect at Vicor, Inc. He also served as a research associate at Olivetti Research Center. Lauwers holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven of Belgium. He also holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from Stanford University.

Campbell is one of our founders and the Director of Strategic Development. From July 2005 until September 2007 he served as the Chief Operating Officer, and prior to that he was the Executive Vice President from March 2000 until 2005. He has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Collaboration Properties, Inc. since 1998. He has been Chairman of Vicor, Inc., since 1994 and a director since 1989. Campbell holds a B.S. in general engineering from the U.S. Military Academy and an M.S. in management from the Sloan School of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Bill Basu joined Blue Sky Research in 2001, bringing over 17 years of financial experience with semiconductor and telecommunications companies. Basu came to Blue Sky Research from his position as Vice President of Finance and Administration at Avistar Communications, a video networking company. At Avistar, Basu was responsible for all financial planning and played a key role in guiding the company through a successful IPO in 2000. Prior to Avistar, Basu was CFO and VP of Operations at Intalk Inc., a wireless LAN company that was acquired by Nokia in 1999. Earlier, he held the position of Director of Finance and Operations at Silicon Systems, a data storage semiconductor company that was acquired by Texas Instruments in 1998. Basu holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Santa Clara, and a BA in Economics from the University of Toronto.

John Carlson john@monacosf.com received his BA in film from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and completed his film MA at San Francisco State. He began his career as a cinematographer and color film timer prior to founding Monaco's video division and beginning his twenty-year run as Chief Colorist. His reputation as a colorist extends nationally with credits such as "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" and the Academy Award-winning "Behind the Shadow of the Stars." He has taught and lectured since 1984 at San Francisco State and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He is past National Sections President of SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) and First Vice President of ACVL. He is currently President of the Northern California Production Community (NCPC) and serves on the board of the Bay Area Film Alliance.

Dr. Ludwig has been Vice President of Collaboration Properties, Inc. since 1998. Previously, he had been Principal Scientist at Vicor, Inc. since 1990. He was Director of Technology at Avistar from 1995 to 1998. From 1986 to 1990, Dr. Ludwig conducted foundational multimedia communications research at Bellcore. Dr. Ludwig holds a B.S. and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley.

McFadden joined Avistar in January 2001 as Director, Engineering. In January of 2002, Mr. McFadden was promoted to Vice President, Engineering and is responsible for the development, quality assurance and packaging of all Avistar solutions. From 1991 to 2000, McFadden was responsible for leading video server design and development efforts at Starlight Networks. McFadden joined Starlight in 1991 as a Principal Engineer and was promoted to Chief Software Architect in 1999. From 1985 to 1991, McFadden developed software at FileNet Corporation focusing on the management of devices integral to FileNet’s document storage and retrieval platform.

Mr. Arisco was previously Avistar's director of operations and customer service. Before joining Avistar, he served as director of customer service and operations during a 10-year tenure at TRW Financial Systems, a systems integration company. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Business from the University of Phoenix.

Zeigon has in-depth knowledge of and experience working within the financial services industry. Zeigon 's background and expertise include his current role as a financial services consultant, past tenure at Deutsche Bank as Managing Director and CEO of Global Institutional Services, Vice Chairman of the Global Transaction Bank, co-President of Bankers Trust Corporation, and Senior Managing Director for Chase Global Services of The Chase Manhattan Corporation. Zeigon holds a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University and an M.B.A. from Adelphi University.

R. Stephen Heinrichs is a founder of Avistar and has previously held positions at Avistar as its Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. Mr. Heinrichs has also been a director of Collaboration Properties, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Avistar. From 1976 through 1989 he was Chief Financial Officer of Teknekron and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of several Teknekron companies. Mr. Heinrichs is also one of the founders and and a former director of Vicor, Inc. Mr. Heinrichs has also been chairman of Western Data Systems of Nevada, Inc. Mr. Heinrichs holds a B.S. from California State University, Fresno, in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
