Axis Communications

Axis' management team consists of eight members, and is led by the President and CEO, Ray Mauritsson (born 1962). Ray Mauritsson is a graduate engineer, with a degree in Technology and Physics from the University of Lund, and an Executive MBA from the Business School at the University of Lund. He joined Axis in 1995, and took over as President and CEO in 2003. Prior to this, Ray Mauritsson held leading positions at TAC (now Schneider Electric). During the year, Ray Mauritsson was appointed a director of HMS Industrial Networks. For information regarding shareholding, see page 58 in the annual report.

Martin Gren is a co-founder of Axis Communications and he is currently member of the board of Axis AB, the Swedish parent company. Mr. Gren is also the chairman of Itact AB and board member of Netwise (a Swedish listed IP telephony company) and Mitironics (a startup company). As a company visionary, Mr. Gren had, and has today, an executive and operative role in establishing many of Axis' new businesses and flagship products globally such as video servers, state-of-the-art network-attached camera products and network print servers, IBM connectivity products, ASIC:s. Mr. Gren studied advanced computer science and electronics at the University of Lund, Sweden.

Dominic's current remit includes the promoting marketing and marketing communications best practice right across the EMEA region for Axis Communications, which consists of eight wholly owned subsidiaries. Also to ensure that Axis as a global market leader in network video continues to project itself as such. Other responsibilities include the development of marketing relationships with strategic partners. Dominic previously held a number of senior management positions at Axis Communications, most recently for four and half years as managing director of Axis Communications (UK) Ltd and before that in a number of business development and product marketing roles. Previous to this he held senior management positions at specialist storage vendor LaCie. He has a total of more than 15 years experience in sales and marketing positions in the IT industry.

Baraa Al Akkad, Sales Manager for Axis Communications MENA is responsible for Axis' sales development in the region. Baraa took on this new position in January 2007. In his role as the Sales Manager for the region, his key focus is on educating the Middle East market on the latest IP surveillance solutions offerings by training and recruiting partners that promote Axis products in the region on a regular basis. Baraa previously held a Product Manager position at NIT (Network Information Technology), one of Axis Communications' distributors based in Dubai. He has a total of more than 7 years experience in sales on high end IP video solutions. Baraa has lived in Dubai for more than 9 years and has an in-depth knowledge of the region's culture.

Gilles Ortega is the Country Manager for Axis Communications MENA and is responsible for the sales and marketing activities for Axis in the region. Gilles took on this role in 2004 and has since seen a tremendous growth in Axis sales across the whole MENA region. Gilles previously held a number of senior management positions at Axis Communications, most recently for 4 years as Managing Director of Axis Communications in France and before that in a key account manager role. Previous to this Gilles held senior management positions at specialist network distributor Azlan. He has a total of more than 17 years experience in sales and marketing positions in the IT industry.

Roy Alves is the Country Manager for Axis Communications SA and is responsible for the sales and marketing activities for Axis in the region. Roy took on this role in 2006 when Axis took over the personnel and offices from the companies' former distributor, SCS Distribution. Roy was managing director of SCS Distribution, a well established player in the South African market, Roy joined Axis with years of knowledge about Axis products and its solutions.
