Abdulwahid's career in Batelco spans 34 years, working mostly in the engineering division serving business customers.

John has significant network engineering experience coupled with corporate and regulatory knowledge. He has 14 years of competitive experience as a start-up operator, incumbent and supplier which gives him the edge as Batelco faces increasing competition from new entrants. Recently promoted to his new position, John is now dealing with wholesale customers and foreign administrations, a dynamic area of the company which has evolved significantly since the advent of competition in 2003.

Mrs. Hussain joined Batelco in April 2008. She brings with her extensive experience in Finance, Banking, Aviation and Telecoms Regulation. She has held senior executive positions throughout her career including being the first lady branch manager in the banking sector of the Kingdom, CFO of Sabre International and Board Secretary of the Telecoms Regulator in Bahrain in addition to her role as Director of Finance & HR. Mrs. Hussain is a BECOM graduate from Hilwan University in Cairo. Her academic qualifications include courses in finance, business strategies and planning as well as legal. Her experience in facing different challenges during her career path serves her well in dealing with the diverse responsibilities of her role.

Nick, who joined Batelco in 2005, brings to the Company strong sales, marketing and business development expertise gained in retail, consumer and SME markets in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

Mr. Wright, also the Union's Treasurer, has been employed with Batelco since 1976 and a Pension Plan member since October 1982. He was appointed as a Trustee in December 1998.

Rod has 30 years experience in the telecom industry with the past 13 years spent at Batelco where has had held positions in the Finance Division and Costing & Business Support, prior to his current role.

Simon is the newest member of Batelco's SLT. With specialised experience in competition law and regulation in technology sectors from various European markets, Simon brings valuable knowledge, as Batelco deals with regulation in the local telecoms industry.
