Allan R. Landon succeeded Michael E. O’Neill as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Hawaii Corporation on September 1, 2004, and continues to serve on the Boards of Bank of Hawaii Corporation and its primary subsidiary, Bank of Hawaii. Mr. Landon previously held the positions of President from December 2003 and Chief Operating Officer from May 2004, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer from February 2001 to December 2003, and Executive Vice President and Director of Risk Management from April 2000 to February 2001. Donna Tanoue joined the company and was appointed Vice Chairman and a member of the Managing Committee in April 2002. She is also President of Bank of Hawaii Charitable Foundation and a Director on the Bank of Hawaii Board of Directors to which she was elected in October 2001. As Vice Chairman, Ms. Tanoue has responsibility for client relations and community activities, areas of major emphasis under the Bank’s new business plan. Ms. Tanoue is the past Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Washington, D.C. As FDIC Chairman from May 1998 to July 2001, she was responsible for the federal regulatory agency that supervises more than 5,000 banks and insures more than $3 trillion in bank and savings and loan deposits. Prior to becoming FDIC Chairman, Ms. Tanoue was a partner in the Hawaii law firm of Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel, which she joined in 1987. Mark Rossi joined Bank of Hawaii and was appointed Vice Chairman, Corporate Secretary and a member of the Managing Committee, effective February 2007. Lane Powell is a Seattle Washington based law firm comprised of approximately 180 attorneys, with six offices located in Oregon, Washington, Alaska and London, England. Mr. Rossi served as the firm’s Managing Partner and President from 2004-2006. Mr. Rossi gained significant banking experience while employed in the First Interstate Bank system from 1983-1996 in Seattle, Washington. During that period, he held various local and regional positions, including that of Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. A native of Minnesota, Mr. Rossi obtained his B.A. in History from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, Minnesota) in 1971. Ms. Sellers was promoted July 1, 2005 to Vice Chairman and Chief Risk Officer from Executive Vice President and Director of Risk Management and Wholesale and Retail Credit. During her last two years of teaching, both of her parents suffered strokes that ended their ability to live independently. As she assumed her new responsibilities in helping care for her parents, she discovered the benefit of having a strong support system and access to resources. Now, in her role as a loan officer at the bank, she serves our customers as a resource for reverse mortgages and helps them explore the features, benefits, costs, and implications of these loans.
