Richard Brueckner is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pershing LLC, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon, and a member of the Company's Executive Committee, the organization's most senior management body, which oversees day-to-day operations. As Chief Information Officer for The Bank of New York Mellon, Kurt Woetzel is responsible for the Company's Information Technology (IT) organization worldwide. The department is responsible for delivering to managers and employees compensation and benefits; talent management, including talent acquisition and development; and employee relations, including work life and wellness programs. Human Resources also supports managers through strategic consulting, management of HR issues, products and service delivery, management of organizational performance and execution of HR processes. She held the same position at Mellon Financial Corporation prior to its July 2007 merger with The Bank of New York Company, Inc. Ms. Peters joined Mellon in 1982, and advanced through a variety of management positions in several functional areas, including human resources, legal and corporate affairs, special banking services, and retail risk management and compliance. In 1999, Ms. Peters was appointed special assistant to the chairman, whom she directly supported on complex and diverse issues affecting the Corporation and its businesses. Her scope of activity included comprehensive business planning and analysis, assessment of the business environment and potential risks, evaluation of internal control processes and strategic issue identification. Ms. Peters began her career as a consultant and account representative with Comshare, Inc. (now Extensity), where she consulted with Human Resource directors of Fortune 500 companies on the design of statistical models and database systems for salary administration, human resources planning, Equal Employment Opportunity and general administration. A summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, Ms. Peters holds bachelor's degrees in business management and psychology. She is a member of The Conference Board's advisory council on human resources management, the Alpha Group of Human Resources Executives and the Executive Women's Group of Pittsburgh. As the executive chair, she led the Bank of New York Mellon's participation in the most recent Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in New York City. In 2008, Ms. Peters was honored by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as its Human Capital Business Leader of the Year, and was named a 2009 Women of Excellence and Achievement honoree by the United Way of New York City Women United in Philanthropy.

As Chief Client Management Officer, Torry Berntsen oversees The Bank of New York Mellon relationships with key financial institutions, corporates, governments, not-for-profits and real estate clients worldwide. John P. Surma was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1954. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Mr. Surma joined Price Waterhouse LLP in 1976, and in 1981 he served in the Manchester, England, office of the Price Waterhouse United Kingdom firm. In 1987, he was admitted to the partnership. Mr. Surma is a member of the board of directors of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. In November 1999, Mehrabian became president and chief executive officer of Teledyne Technologies, after its spin-off from Allegheny Technologies, and became chairman of the board in December 2000. Mehrabian began his corporate executive career in July 1997, approximately one year after the merger of Allegheny Ludlum and Teledyne, as senior vice president in charge of the Aerospace and Electronics segment of Allegheny Teledyne. He was promoted to executive vice president with additional responsibilities for the Industrial and Consumer companies in May 1998. Previously he was president of Carnegie Mellon University, a post he assumed in July 1990. He serves on the board of directors of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation and PPG Industries, Inc. Mehrabian holds bachelor and doctor of science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His academic career spanned almost thirty years starting at MIT in 1968 and concluding as president of Carnegie Mellon University in 1997. He left MIT in 1975 where he was an associate professor. From 1975 to 1979, he was professor of metallurgy and professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. From 1983 to 1990, he served as Dean of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mehrabian also spent four years in the Senior Executive Service of the U.S. Government. As director of the Center for Materials Science of the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology he initiated numerous government/industry programs that became models for such cooperative efforts. During his U.C. Santa Barbara and Carnegie Mellon University tenures, he spun-off a number of high technology companies. An internationally recognized authority on advanced technologies, Mehrabian also served as senior advisor in manufacturing and high technology processes to many Fortune 500 companies. Mehrabian holds eight U.S. and more than 40 foreign patents. He has authored 139 technical papers and edited six books in the field of materials science and engineering. His awards include election to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), a Fellow and distinguished Life Member of the American Society of Metals International (ASM), the Henry Marion Howe Medal of the ASM, and a Fellow and Leadership Award recipient of the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS). His honorary degrees include Sc.D. from Carnegie Mellon and L.H.D. from Chatham College.
