Zurich Financial is a global powerhouse with a personal touch. Zurich Financial Services (Swiss: ZURN) was founded in 1872 and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. The company is an insurance-based financial services provider, operating in over 120 countries in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. It is the second-largest provider of corporate insurance, and also provides General Insurance and Life Insurance. The company has annual revenue of about $67 billion and employs about 53,000 people. It was the first European insurer in the US. In 2005 the company sold its equity stake of about 94% in ZC Sterling Corporation to Trident III, L.P., and 100% of the share capital of Claims Management Group Limited to Sovereign Capital Partners LLP and the management of CMGL.
