Barley Snyder is a full-service Pennsylvania law firm, with offices in Lancaster, York, Reading, Chambersburg, Harrisburg, Hanover and Berwyn. Our 70 attorneys represent business and individual clients in every major aspect of civil law. Barley Snyder LLC began more than a half century ago and is a combination of six different firms, each with its own rich heritage. In Lancaster, the firm was known as Barley, Snyder, Cooper & Barber until the 1990s. In 1991, the firm merged with Liverant, Senft & Cohen in York and Krekstein, Rubin & Lasday in Harrisburg, forming the firm of Barley, Snyder, Senft & Cohen. In 1998, the Chambersburg office was formed when Walker, Van Horn and MacBride, P.C. joined us. In 1999, the Reading and Hanover offices were added, when Miller and Murray, LLP in Reading and Daniel M. Frey & Associates, P.C. became part of the firm. Our most recent office in Berwyn focuses on our intellectual property practice. The firm's Hanover, Harrisburg, Lancaster and York offices have been in existence for more than 40 years. The York office traces its origins to 1927 and the Harrisburg office's practice dates back to 1939, when I.H. Krekstein, a Philadelphia CPA, established an office concentrating in Pennsylvania state tax matters. The Lancaster office was founded in the late 1940s, while the Reading office was founded in 1964 as the continuation of two Berks County law practices dating back to the 19th century...
