Pam is a nurse medical analyst in the Indianapolis law office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. In this role she analyzes medical records to identify issues most relevant to attorneys. Her 15 years of service as a hospital nurse in a wide range of clinical areas gives her a medical science background that supports her in what is now her 16th year in a legal environment. To stay informed of the rapid advances in science, she participates in numerous science groups. She is an active member of the Indianapolis Chapter of the Association for Women in Science, Scientech, the Indiana Health Industry Forum, and the Science Education Foundation of Indiana. In 2003 she joined the host committee of the 2006 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, the largest pre-college science competition in the world. Serving as co-chair of the Judging Committee, she was instrumental in the recruitment, management and training of over 1,000 science and technology professionals who served as judges for this event. Her efforts contributed to the largest recruitment of judges in the 57 year history of this event. To capture this momentum for the ongoing benefit of science education, she founded the Judge2Mentor Program to support the expressed interest of the scientific and technical judges to mentor young people on an ongoing basis. This organization serves to match these professionals with students in a mentoring relationship in support of educational achievement. It is her goal to continue supporting science competitions in a manner that facilitates the growth of mentoring relationships throughout the United States.
