Mr. Simon has served as a member of our board of directors since June 2002. In February 2005, Mr. Simon co-founded Clarus Ventures, LLC, a venture capital firm focused on life sciences companies. Mr. Simon has been a general partner of MPM BioVentures III, a healthcare venture capital fund, since October 2001. From April 2000 to July 2001, Mr. Simon was chief executive officer and founder of Collabra Pharma, Inc., a pharmaceutical company. Mr. Simon served in various management positions at Genentech, Inc., including its vice president of business and corporate development.
