Daniela E. Nanau is an associate who has worked at Vladeck, Waldman, Elias & Engelhard, P.C. since 2005. Her practice focuses on employment discrimination and other employment-related matters. Daniela earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Reed College in 1997 and a law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School in 2005. At Cardozo, Daniela served as a Notes Editor on the Cardozo Public Law, Policy and Ethics Journal. Her note, "Analyzing Post-Market Boom Jurisprudence in the Second and Ninth Circuits -- Has the Pendulum Really Swung Too Far in Favor of Plaintiffs?," was published by the journal in 2006.

Paul Waldman is a native of New York City, and a graduate of Columbia College, where he played on the tennis team. He received his L.L.B. from Columbia Law School. Waldman has been general counsel to USPTA since 1974, and was formerly a partner in the law firm of Vladeck, Waldman, Elias and Engelhard. He was made a USPTA Honorary member in 2003.

Douglas Watson has been a director since 1999. Mr. Watson s career spanned 33 years with Geigy/Ciba-Geigy/Novartis, in a variety of positions, including President of Ciba Pharmaceuticals Division from April 1986 to March 1996, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ciba-Geigy Corporation from April to December 1996, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Novartis AG, from January 1997 to May 1999. In 1999, Mr. Watson founded Pittencrieff Glen Associates, a private management consulting company. In addition to BioMimetic, he has served as the chairman of OraSure Technologies Inc. since March 2003 and as a director since April 2002. He has served as the chairman of Javelin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since June 2003 and as a director since March 2001. He has served as a director of Dendreon Corporation since March 2000 and Genta Inc. since April 2002. Mr. Watson holds an M.A. degree in pure mathematics from Churchill College, Cambridge University, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Douglas G. Watson is the founder of Pittencrieff Glen Associates, which was established in June, 1999. Prior to this, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Corporation, the US subsidiary of Novartis A.G. Mr. Watson's career spanned 33 years with Geigy / Ciba-Geigy / Novartis. He joined Geigy (UK) Ltd in 1966, working first in Operations Research and then in Corporate Planning. Following the Ciba-Geigy merger, he spent one year in Basel , Switzerland as the UK representative to an international integration team. He returned to the UK in 1973 as accounting development and investment appraisal manager, and subsequently headquarters management accountant. In 1978, Doug returned to Basel as personal assistant to the Chairman of the Executive Committee. In 1981, he joined the US Pharmaceuticals Division as senior vice president of planning and business development, and a member of the Pharmaceuticals Management Committee. From 1986, he was President of Ciba Pharmaceuticals Division until 1996, when he was appointed President & CEO of Ciba-Geigy Corporation. During this ten year period, Mr. Watson was an active member of the Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers Association (PhRMA) board in Washington , DC . Mr. Watson became President & CEO of Novartis Corporation in 1997 when Ciba-Geigy & Sandoz merged. Mr Watson elected to take early retirement from Novartis in May, 1999. Mr. Watson, in addition, is Chairman of the board of OraSure Technologies Inc., and serves as a member of the board of directors for Engelhard Corporation, Genta Inc., Dendreon Corporation, BZL Biologics Inc., BioMimetic Pharmaceuticals Inc., BioElectronics Inc., InforMedix, Inc., and Innovative Drug Delivery Systems Inc. Prior board memberships include Novartis Corporation, Summit Bank Corporation, Principia Pharmaceuticals Inc., and ValiGen N.V. He has been a supporter of America 's Promise since its inception, and is chairman of the Freedom House Foundation, a non-profit organisation which treats adult men & women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Liver Foundation, and on the President's Advisory Council of Drew University . Born near Pittencrieff Glen in the city of Dunfermline, Scotland, Mr. Watson holds an MA degree in pure mathematics from Churchill College, Cambridge University, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
