Baxa Corporation was founded in 1975 with a mission to develop innovative, high-quality products for hospital pharmacies. Over more than a quarter century of rapid growth and change in the healthcare industry, the company has flourished through dedication to outstanding service and a solid reputation for designing niche products which provide solutions to practical problems in the pharmacy. The first product manufactured by Baxa, the Exacta-Med Oral Dispenser, was designed to fill a need for safe and accurate dosing for oral liquid drugs. These dispensers quickly became the industry standard. The early success of the oral dispenser encouraged the company to look into streamlining other time-consuming procedures involving fluid medications. Today, Baxa products embrace almost all aspects of compounding and dispensing fluid medications, including oral unit-dosing, IV admixture, syringe infusion, and multi-source solution compounding.
