Richard Sweatt is Amity System's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Richard has more than 24 years of experience in the communications field and more than 12 years of experience in executive management. Richard has held several executive management positions in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product Management, and R&D for Security companies such as CloudShield, and NetScreen; WAN access companies such as NetCalibrate, DSL Communications, Hitachi Internetworking, Verilink, Whittaker Communications, and Siemens Rolm; and LAN switching companies such as Hughes LAN Systems, Bay Networks (SynOptics), Vitalink, and NCR Comten. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from San Jose State University. He has also held several group leadership positions in industry LAN and WAN standards organizations like IEEE, IETF, and ATM Forum. Richard is currently an active voting member and on several editing committees for the ITU, ETSI NGN, ATM Forum, IEEE, and IETF.
