Scott Ferguson, CPCU, ARM, CIC, Vice President of BB&T - Huffaker & Trimble in Chattanooga, Tennessee, serves as the Vice President of Region III and President Elect. After graduating from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1979, Scott joined Associated General Agency as a producer. Scott remained at Associated General until 1994 during which time he earned promotions to Sales Manager and eventually President. In 1994, Scott joined Huffaker & Trimble, later BB&T Huffaker & Trimble, where he now serves as Vice President, Producer, and Commercial Lines Manager. Prior to joining BB&T Capital Partners, Mr. Kulman was the Fund Executive of Charlotte Angel Partners (CAP), an angel venture capital fund located in Charlotte, North Carolina that has invested in a variety of privately-held companies. Prior to forming CAP in mid-2000, Mr. Kulman spent 13 years in investment banking with Raymond James and Associates and Interstate/Johnson Lane (later Wachovia Securities) where he specialized in raising capital and mergers and acquisitions for healthcare and financial services companies. Previously, he began his career with Bank of Boston where he specialized in senior debt and mezzanine financings for Cable TV and publishing companies.

Barb has been teaching violin and other instruments since she was a teenager in college. Following her graduation from The University of Michigan School of Music, she played in professional and community orchestras in Massachusetts and Kentucky while maintaining her studio. She moved to Lebanon in 2001. Barb now plays in the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra and free-lances. With her family, they perform as Running River Strings entertaining at nursing homes, churches, libraries, schools and other locations and events. Barb has a special interest in clinical musicianship. She is currently pursuing certification as an "Advanced Certified Clinical Musician" learning how to play at the bedside for critically ill patients. One of her goals is to further the role music plays in area hospitals and other medical settings. Barb has seven children, one grandson and homeschools her four younger children.
