Charles Reid was appointed Executive Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer in August 2008. Before joining BC Hydro, Charles was a management consultant and director on numerous boards. From 1999 through 2004 Charles was the Group Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Canfor Corporation where he was responsible for all financial areas including internal and external financial reporting, risk management, capital market relationships, capital expenditure review and allocation, planning, internal controls, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He has also held several senior financial and operational positions, including 14 years in the field at the Pulp & Paper operations. Charles is a Certified General Accountant and a Chartered Director. He is a past Director of the following organizatons: the General Insurance Ombudservice, the Columbia Power Corporation, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Prince George Art Gallery, the Prince George and District United Way and the FM Global Insurance Advisory Board.

Bev joined BC Hydro in 1997 as Manager, Key Accounts. In 2001, Bev was appointed Vice-President, Power Smart and, in November 2002, she was appointed Senior Vice-President of Distribution. In this capacity, Bev was responsible for customer service, Power Smart, operation and maintenance of the distribution system and, planning, acquisition and risk management of a diverse portfolio of energy resources. Bev was appointed Senior Vice-President, Customer Care and Conservation in May 2006. She is focussing on managing long-term energy planning and acquisition requirements, plus developing a new Power Smart Plan. Bev is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Leigh Ann Shoji-Lee joined BC Hydro as Senior Vice-President of Field Operations on December 1, 2008. Prior to joining BC Hydro, she spent nearly 20 years working at Union Gas Limited and its affiliated companies. Starting in 1989, she worked in increasingly responsible roles in Operations, Engineering, as well as Environment, Health and Safety. Most recently she was the Vice-President of Engineering, Construction, Storage and Transmission Operations. From 2004 to 2007, Leigh Ann held the positions of Vice President, Operations, and Director Operations Technical Support Engineering. Prior to her tenure with Union Gas Limited, Leigh Ann was the Director of Environment, Health and Safety at Duke Energy Gas Transmission in Vancouver from 2000 to 2004. She has also held several other leadership roles at Union Gas including Director, Environment, Health and Safety, Sustainable Development and Aboriginal Affairs. Leigh Ann brings a diverse skill set to BC Hydro, including strategic planning, organizational change management and communications management. She has leadership experience in cross-functional teams integrating engineering standards across North America, and has successfully implemented several major organizational changes at both Union Gas and at Duke Energy Gas Transmission. She has also managed several complex projects and issues as well as developed and maintained relationships with federal, provincial and municipal stakeholders. Leigh Ann has an MBA and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering. Active in the community, Leigh Ann was recently on the Board of Directors for the Chatham-Kent Women's Centre and was a member of the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement. Her other previous volunteer positions include: past Vice-Chair of Junior Achievement, past Chair of Chatham-Kent Community Foundation and past member of the Board of Leadership Vancouver.

Appointed July 3, 2008, Michele Morgan brings with her a wealth of experience from the private and public sector to BC Hydro. This includes her role as Vice President and CIO at Teekay Corporation, where Michele was responsible for the IT requirements of over 8,000 employees across 15 offices, world-wide. Prior to this, Michele was the Director of Information Systems and Telecommunications at Children's and Women's Health Centre where she headed Management Information System (MIS) servicing for all business functions of Administration and Corporate Services. There she also instituted an organizational-wide governance model for selection and implementation of technology and systems, established benchmarks, and met targets for technology and systems performance. Michele has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ulster, executive training at INSEAD and is currently working on completing an executive MBA at New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Murray Bond, P.Eng is Manager of Power Smart Quality Assurance for BC Hydro. He was one of the original developers of the Power Smart programs and is now involved in ensuring the quality of the new Power Smart marketing programs. Murray's background is in consulting engineering and energy management. He has over 20 years experience in the development and operation of marketing programs. He has been in BC Hydro's Residential Marketing Manager, Commercial Marketing Manager, Industrial Marketing Manager and Manager of Power Smart Operations. He has presented on marketing topics at several national and international conferences and has carried out consulting assignments in the marketing area in Thailand, Columbia, and Brazil. He is the owner of Mindspring Marketing Ltd.

Allison is a graduate of the 2004 CWVC Women's Campaign School. In 2005 she sought a nomination to run as a member of the BC Legislature and narrowly missed defeating a former Provincial Cabinet Minister. Allison has been a public education advocate since 2001 and was a founding member of the Save Our Schools parent network. She is a director of the British Columbia Society for Public Education, a member of the Vancouver Public Education Project (a pan-partisan advocacy group), and continues to chair the Parent Advisory Council of her children's high school. By day, Allison works as a Research Analyst at BC Hydro. The rest of the time, she practises her art, enjoys reading, watching films, cooking and working on election campaigns. Allison lives with her husband and two sons in Vancouver's West End.

Diana joined the BCAMA Board of Directors in 2006 as Director of Sponsorship for our signature event, VISION. Diana brings over 10 years of direct marketing experience to the BCAMA and is currently the Sales & Marketing Manager of TBV Business Solutions. TBV Business Solutions is a one stop shop for direct mail, print and data services to clients such as BC Women's Hospital Foundation, UBC, Heart & Stroke Foundation and Waste Management. Since joining TBV Business Solutions in 2004, Diana has introduced several new product lines, co-ordinated & implemented a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and rebranded the organization's business unit including a new corporate name and logo. Prior to this, Diana held the position of Corporate Facilitator at Canada Post Corporation from 2001-2004; and was in Commercial Sales at CPC from 1997-2001. During this time, she also taught a sales course at BCIT for 3.5 years. Diana developed the course curriculum for this new course (a 3-credit course in the Marketing program) and wrote the course work book. From 2000-2002, Diana was on the Simon Fraser University Alumni Board of Directors where she developed and facilitated the "Orientation" program for new board members as well as participated on a variety of sub-committees. From 2002-2005 she was on the SFU Outstanding Alumni Committee and was involved with the review and selection process of alumni with past outstanding achievements. Diana is from Vancouver and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing, International Business and Human Resources. Dwayne is a Chartered Accountant, with over 20 years financial experience, including nine years in the energy sector in Canada and the US and has significant senior level experience in financial management, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures (including transition / integration planning and execution) and strategic business planning. In 2002, Dwayne founded Marayne Financial Inc., a financial and management consulting firm based in Calgary that offers to clients expertise in financial management and evaluation, strategic and business planning, and mergers, acquisitions, outsourcing and divestitures, including due diligence and contract negotiations. Marayne Financial Inc. has partnered with Framework Partners for completion of several client engagements. Dwayne was CFO of a private alternate fuels technology company in Calgary from September 2000 to early 2002. Prior to moving to Calgary, he was Senior Vice President and CFO of HomeServices of America, Inc., the second largest real estate brokerage company in the USA which was based in Minneapolis, Minnesota with annual revenues in excess of US $400 million from early-1999 where he led the company though a US $50 million initial public offering. During this period, Dwayne was also responsible for the acquisition strategy for HomeServices, growing the company through the completion and integration of seven acquisition and merger transactions. Prior to this, from 1997 through 1999, Dwayne was Vice President Corporate Development of MidAmerican Energy Company, an electrical and gas utility in the US Midwest with annual revenues in excess of US $4.5 billion where he was responsible for mergers and acquisition activities. MidAmerican completed the fourth largest utility merger in the USA in 1999 with its merger with CalEnergy. Dwayne led the due diligence team for MidAmerican, including the evaluation of synergies and other merger benefits and costs. Amongst several other acquisitions and divestitures, he managed the spin-off of HomeServices from MidAmerican's non-regulated investments. From 1990 to 1997, Dwayne held various business development and customer services senior management positions at BC Hydro in Vancouver. As part of his business development role, he was responsible for development and structuring of strategic alliances and partnerships in a key BC Hydro initiative to increase shareholder value by leveraging its core assets through public and private sector arrangements. Previously, Dwayne was a partner in a venture capital firm in Vancouver from 1987 to 1989 and worked for Price Waterhouse in Vancouver and London, UK from 1981 to 1986.

Meliha B. Selak is a Specialist Engineer in Electrical Power Systems with BC Hydro. She has an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Sarajevo and has over 30 years of experience in various aspects of power systems engineering. Prior to joining BC Hydro in 2000, she worked as a research engineer in the Power System Group at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia (APEGBC) and is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Under her leadership, IEEE Vancouver Power Engineering Society (PES) Chapter received a prestigious award IEEE Power Engineering Society "2006 Outstanding Large Chapter". Although, Meliha has a very technical profession, she has a very strong passion for arts, which have always been an inspiration in her life. As a student, she was performing as an actor, singer and dancer.

Jack Weisgerber was first elected to the Legislature in 1986 and served in government as the Minister of State for the Northeast and Nechako; Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources; and British Columbia's first Minister of Native Affairs. Mr. Brown has served as a member of Canaccord Adams' investment banking team since 1997. He has extensive experience in equity financing and fiscal advisory for emerging growth companies in the sectors of junior industrial, mining development and technology. During this time, Mr. Brown managed the diversified investment banking activity in Western Canada and in the process has led a number of Initial Public Offerings, Private Placements and Merger and Acquisitions. In June of 2006, he assumed the role as Head of Investment Banking in the United States overseeing investment banking operations in Boston, San Francisco and Houston. He is based in Boston and sits as a director of Canaccord Adams Inc. Mr. Brown has a background in project finance, is a graduate with distinction of McGill University (B.A.), is a Chartered Business Valuator (a member of The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators), and serves on the National Advisory Committee for the TSX Group Venture Exchange (Toronto Stock Exchange Group).
