Roderick C. McGeary, age 57, has been a member of the Board since August 1999 and Chairman of the Board since November 2004. From March 2005 until December 2007, Mr. McGeary served the Company in a full-time capacity, focusing on clients, employees and business partners. From 2004 until 2005, Mr. McGeary served as our Chief Executive Officer. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. McGeary was the Chief Executive Officer of Brience, Inc., a wireless and broadband company. Mr. McGeary is a director of Cisco Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, and Dionex Corporation, a manufacturer and marketer of chromatography systems for chemical analysis. On December 31, 2007, Mr. McGeary retired as an employee of the Company. Mr. McGeary will continue serving as Chairman of the Board.

Albert (Al) L. Lord is vice chairman and chief executive officer of Sallie Mae. He held this position from 1997 to 2005, and then served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He was re-appointed chief executive officer in December 2007 and vice chairman of the Board in January 2008. Mr. Lord originally joined Sallie Mae in 1981 as controller and subsequently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He left the company in 1994 to found LCL, Ltd., a financial-management consulting firm, where he was president and principal shareholder. In 1995, he became an independent director of Sallie Mae and subsequently led a successful proxy contest to restore shareholder value and become the company’s chief executive officer in 1997. Mr. Lord began his career in 1967 with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell in Philadelphia, and later was treasurer at First Pennsylvania Corporation. Mr. Lord received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Penn State. Mr. Lord is a member of the Board of Directors of BearingPoint, Inc., Children’s Charities Foundation and Children’s Choice Learning Centers, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Cesar Chavez Public Charter School for Public Policy, and member of the Advisory Board of Penn State Abington.

Mr. Strange has served as one of our directors since October 2003. In 2002, Mr. Strange retired from KPMG, LLP, an independent accounting firm, where he served from 1996 to 2002 as Vice Chairman, Managing Partner of U.S. Audit Practice and head of KPMG s internal risk management program. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Strange served as Global Managing Partner of Audit Business and a member of KPMG s International Executive Committee. During his 34-year career at KPMG, his work included interaction with the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the SEC, testifying before both bodies on issues impacting the auditing profession and SEC registrants. Mr. Strange serves on the Boards of Directors and the Audit Committees of New Jersey Resources Corporation, a retail and wholesale energy service provider, Newfield Exploration Company, an oil and gas exploration and production company, BearingPoint, Inc., a business consulting, systems integration and managed services firm, and SLM Corporation (Sallie Mae), a leading provider of student loans and an administrator of college savings plans.
