The Bank is a federally chartered savings bank headquartered in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The Bank was originally founded in 1893 as a building and loan association. We conduct our business from our main office and one branch office. Both of our offices are located in the northwestern corridor of the Chicago metropolitan area. Our principal business activity is attracting retail deposits from the general public in our market and investing those deposits, together with funds generated from operations and to a lesser extent borrowings, in one- to four-family residential mortgage loans and, to a lesser extent, multi-family real estate loans, commercial real estate loans, construction and land loans, home equity lines-of-credit, and other loans. We have also invested in mortgage-backed securities and have, over the past several years, acquired a significant number of automobile loans. The Bank offers a variety of deposit accounts, including checking, money market, savings, and certificates of deposit, and emphasizes personal and efficient service for its customers. Our primary sources of funds are deposits and principal and interest payments on loans and securities.
