Founded in 1983 by Mr. Michael R. Elliott and now owned in partnership with Mr. Marty Joseph and Mr. Joe Toscano, BAS has become a premier Third Party Administrator (TPA) in the national marketplace. Mr. Elliott, Mr. Joseph and Mr. Toscano have a combined insurance and financial background of more than 80 years. BAS administers the employee benefit programs for more than 300 employer groups covering 75,000 employees. These employer groups range in size from 25 to 4,500 employees. With offices located in the suburbs of Chicago and St. Louis, BAS offers flexibility, timeliness, and control to its diverse client base of corporate employers, non-profit employers, and government employers. In today's changing world of healthcare, our goal is to design and manage employee benefit plans that are not only cost effective for the employer but meets the ever changing needs of the employee and his family. BAS has more than 170 employees. Its management staff has an average of 22 years in insurance experience and our 40 Claim Processors possess an average of 21 years of claim processing experience. BAS partners with 15 "A" rated Excess Loss Insurers, including Mutual of Omaha, HCC Benefits, Fidelity Securities, and The Hartford.
