James Dean serves as Senior Vice President of the Company's Asset Management group primarily focused on the facility and operational management of the firm's nationwide portfolio. Mr. Dean joined BentleyForbes in 2008 and is focused on the overall operations and financial performance of the Company's east coast trophy assets. Mr. Dean is directly responsible for all aspects related to capital improvements, operating expenses, and financial analysis of these assets . Prior to BentleyForbes, Mr. Dean accumulated more than twenty-seven years of real estate experience in acquisitions, development, and asset management of varying product types . He previously served as President & Owner of JDRE, Vice President-Senior Development Executive at Cousins Properties, Senior Asset Manager at Lennar Partners and Director of Development at Portman Properties. During this time, Mr. Dean managed, developed, and redeveloped in excess of 6.5 million SF of major commercial and hospitality properties. Mr. Dean received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Construction from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.

Shane Cates serves as Managing Director, Acquisitions. Mr. Cates joined BentleyForbes in 1998 and manages the Company's Acquisitions Department. During his tenure with the Company, Mr. Cates was directly involved in closing commercial real estate transactions valued in excess of $2.5 billion in several United States markets. In addition, Mr. Cates led the development of the Company's proprietary acquisition model utilized during the Company's acquisition evaluation process. Currently, Mr. Cates manages the property acquisitions team which has responsibility for transaction analysis, processing, due diligence, mortgage finance debt placement and closing. He works with most of the nation's leading commercial real estate brokers on acquisitions and with many Wall Street investment banking firms, insurance companies and major commercial banks on mortgage finance. As Managing Director, Acquisitions, Mr. Cates is primarily focused on the acquisition transaction process as well as the coordination for the successful transition of closed properties from the responsibility of the Acquisition Department to the Company's Asset Management Department. In concert with these key responsibilities, Mr. Cates leads research on nationwide macro and sub markets ensuring the successful positioning of the firm's acquisitions' efforts. Prior to joining BentleyForbes, Mr. Cates served as President of Computer Solutions, which specialized in the sale and installation of computer networks and information systems.
