Stephen M. Simes has served as our Vice Chairman, President and a director of our company since January 1998 and Chief Executive Officer since March 1998. From October 1994 to January 1997, Mr. Simes was President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Unimed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a company with a product focus on infectious diseases, AIDS, endocrinology and oncology. From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Simes was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gynex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a company which concentrated on the AIDS, endocrinology, urology and growth disorders markets. In 1993, Gynex was acquired by Bio-Technology General Corp., and from 1993 to 1994, Mr. Simes served as Senior Vice President and Director of Bio-Technology General Corp. Mr. Simes' career in the pharmaceutical industry started in 1974 with G.D. Searle & Co.

Phillip B. Donenberg, CPA has served as our Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary since July 1998. Before joining our company, Mr. Donenberg was Controller of Unimed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from January 1995 to July 1998. From 1993 to 1994, Mr. Donenberg was Controller of Molecular Geriatrics Corporation, a biotechnology corporation. Prior to Molecular Geriatrics Corporation, Mr. Donenberg held similar positions with other pharmaceutical companies, including Gynex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Xtramedics, Inc.

Michael C. Snabes M.D., Ph.D. has served as our Vice President of Clinical Development since April, 2008. Dr. Snabes has served as a medical consultant to BioSante on clinical and regulatory matters since November, 2005. Dr. Snabes is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, as well as holding a Ph.D. in physiology and reproductive endocrinology. Before joining our company, Dr. Snabes was an Associate Professor in the Section of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. From 2003 to 2004, Dr. Snabes served as Medical Advisor in Clinical Research and Development in Inflammation, Arthritis, and Pain at Pfizer, Inc. and from 1999-2003 in the same position at Pharmacia, Inc. where he worked on the successful development of the COX-2 inhibitors, Celebrex and Bextra. From 1997 to 1999, Dr. Snabes served as Associate Director in Clinical Research in Women's Health at Searle/Monsanto. Dr. Snabes is an elected Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Endocrinology. Dr. Snabes is the author of more than 135 publications and abstracts.

Bill Milling, CPA, has served as our Controller and Senior Director of Operations since October, 2004. Before joining our company, Mr. Milling was the Controller of Dor BioPharma from March 2002 to September 2004. From 1994 to 2002, Mr. Milling was with CCH, Inc. where he held various financial and systems positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Milling holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Eastern Illinois University.

Louis Sullivan served as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services from 1989 to 1993. Prior to and following his service as HHS Secretary, he was President of Morehouse School of Medicine, which he now serves as President Emeritus. He is co-chair of The Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. A graduate of Morehouse College, he earned his medical degree from Boston University, and is certified in internal medicine and hematology. The recipient of 45 honorary degrees, he served on the faculties of the medical schools at Harvard, Seton Hall, and Boston universities before arriving at Morehouse in 1975. He was also the founding president of the Association of Minority Health Professions Schools.

Edward C. Rosenow, III, M.D. has been a director of our company since November 1997. Dr. Rosenow is a Master Fellow of the American College of Physicians as well as Master Fellow the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Rosenow was the Arthur M. and Gladys D. Gray Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic from 1988 until his retirement in 1996. Beginning with his residency in 1960, Dr. Rosenow has worked at the Mayo Clinic in many professional capacities including as a Consultant in Internal Medicine (Thoracic Diseases) from 1966 to 1996, an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Medical School, President of the Mayo Clinic Staff in 1986, and Chair of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from 1987 to 1994. Dr. Rosenow has also served as a consultant to NASA, space station FREEDOM at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas from 1989 to 1990 and as the President of the American College of Chest Physicians from 1989 to 1990. In 1998, he received the Mayo Distinguished Alumnus Award. Dr. Rosenow serves on the board of directors of Virex, Inc, a private company.

Peter Kjaer has been a director of our company since July 1999. Mr. Kjaer has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Jet-Asia Ltd., a Hong Kong-based aircraft and management company, since April 1996.

Ross Mangano was elected a director of our company in July 1999. Mr. Mangano has been the President and a director of Oliver Estate, Inc., a management company specializing in investments in public and private companies, since 1971. He serves on the board of directors of several private companies and U.S. RealTel Inc.
