Blackbaud Inc.

Marc Chardon joined Blackbaud as president and chief executive officer in November 2005. Previously, he served as chief financial officer for the $11 billion Information Worker business group at Microsoft, where he was responsible for the core functions of long-term strategic financial planning and business performance management. Chardon joined Microsoft in August 1998 as general manager of Microsoft France. During his three-year leadership, the subsidiary remained one of the three most admired companies by French professionals and achieved increased customer satisfaction. Prior to joining Microsoft, Chardon was general manager of Digital France. He joined Digital in 1984, and held a variety of international marketing and business roles within the company. In 1994, Chardon was named director, office of the president, with responsibility for Digital's corporate strategy development. He is an American/French dual national and an economics honors graduate from Harvard University.

Lee Gartley is the president of Target Analytics and Target Software and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of both of the Blackbaud companies. Since joining Target in 1998, Gartley has been instrumental in the rapid growth of the companies by driving the development and launch of a number of innovative products and services, including the creation of the Nonprofit Cooperative Database — the industry's largest database of philanthropic giving. From 1996 to 1998, he was a senior marketer with Art Technology Group where he helped to launch an online commerce platform. From 1992 to 1996, he was a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group working with clients in a variety of industries to develop and implement sound strategies. Gartley holds a BA in physics from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Chuck Longfield became Blackbaud’s chief scientist in January 2007 and is the founder of Target Software, Inc. and Target Analysis Group, Inc., both now Blackbaud companies. Longfield has extensive experience designing and implementing national as well as international constituency databases that address the fundraising information needs at many of the world’s largest nonprofit organizations. Prior to founding the Target companies in 1992, Longfield taught math to middle and high school students. He was honored by FundRaising Success in 2007 with a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the nonprofit sector. He holds a BA in mathematics and a MEd from Harvard University and has more than 25 years of experience helping nonprofits automate their fundraising operations.

Jerry Zink has served as our Senior Vice President of Customer Support since June 1996. He joined us in November 1987, and served as a Customer Support Analyst and Manager of Customer Support before assuming his current position. Prior to joining us, Mr. Zink was employed as a computer consultant by the Diocese of Rockville Center in New York.

Shaun Sullivan is the chief technology officer at Blackbaud. He has been building, designing, and supporting software solutions for nonprofits for more than 15 years. Since joining Blackbaud in 1989, he has played a key role in every major release of the company's flagship product, The Raiser's Edge . Mr. Sullivan also led development of RE:NetSolutions , The Information Edge and, most recently, Blackbaud NetCommunity . As chief technology officer, he leads the teams that focus on the company's technical direction and application of emerging technologies. He graduated with a degree in management information systems from Nichols College in Dudley, MA.

Timothy Williams has served as Blackbaud’s chief financial officer since January 2001. Williams is responsible for Blackbaud’s financial reporting and controls, as well as human resources, and legal and administrative services. From January 1994 to January 2001 he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mynd, Inc. (now Computer Sciences Corporation), a provider of software and services to the insurance industry. Prior to that, he worked at Holiday Inn Worldwide, most recently as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Williams holds a BA from the University of Northern Iowa.

Charlie Cumbaa joined Blackbaud in May 2001. Cumbaa previously served as an executive vice president with Intertech Information Management from December 1998 until October 2000. From 1992 until 1998 he was president and chief executive officer of Cognitech, Inc., a software company he founded. Prior to that, he was employed by McKinsey & Company. Cumbaa holds a BA from Mississippi State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Christopher Todd, our Senior Vice President of Sales, joined us in July 2000. Previously, he served as Blackbaud's Vice President of Corporate Development, heading up our business development efforts and our analytics division. Prior to joining us, Mr. Todd served as the Director of Business Development and Legal Affairs for NetGen Inc. from July 1999 until July 2000 and as an Associate with McKinsey & Co. from 1997 until 1999. Mr. Todd holds a BA from Harvard College and a JD from Yale Law School.

As the senior vice president of human resources, John Mistretta is responsible for leadership development and talent management at Blackbaud. A seasoned business executive, Mistretta has led human resource and training organizations throughout his 25-year career. Most recently, he was executive vice president of human resources and alternative businesses for the National Commerce Financial Corporation (now SunTrust). Previously, he spent 14 years at Citicorp, which at the time of his tenure was recognized as one of the leading human resource organizations in the world. Mistretta has been active with numerous nonprofits and community groups, including the Durham (North Carolina) Technical Community College Foundation and the Durham Workforce Development Board. He earned a bachelor's degree and a master’s degree from the State University of New York at Oswego.

Lou Attanasi is senior vice president of products, responsible for product development, product strategy, and product management. He joined Blackbaud in 1986, and in 1988, began managing research and development efforts. Before joining Blackbaud, he taught mathematics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and worked as a programming engineer at Environmental Energy Corporation. Attanasi holds a BS in mathematics from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a MS in mathematics from the University of Charleston.

Lawrence Henze, JD, managing director of Blackbaud Analytics , has extensive experience in fundraising, market research, and the application of predictive modeling services to the nonprofit marketplace. The founder of Core Data Services, which Blackbaud acquired in 2001, he has also served as vice president of predictive modeling services at USA Group Noel Levitz and president of The Philanthropic Division of Econometrics, Inc. Mr. Henze has 15 years of experience in development, raising more than $125 million, primarily for higher education institutions. He holds a BA in political science from Carroll College in Wisconsin, and an MA in public policy and administration, as well as a law degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Craig Ahlquist is co-founder of Campagne Associates, which Blackbaud acquired earlier this year. He works out of Blackbaud's New Hampshire operation and focuses on helping GiftMaker Pro customers make the transition to The Raiser's Edge . Mr. Ahlquist has 18 years of experience in technology sales and marketing, focusing specifically on the nonprofit sector. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and sits on the board of directors of Continuing Education in Fund Raising and the and Science Enrichment Encounters (SEE). He is also active with the CASA Association of New Hampshire and the Community Harvest Project.

Elizabeth Dollhopf-Brown has been the director of prospect analysis and research at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI since January, 2005. She is responsible for leading the transformation of the department from a reactive support function into a fully integrated and proactive unit, working as a strategic partner with campaign planning staff, senior management, and development officers. Prior to leading the research team, she worked for five years in annual giving, most recently as the director of the Marquette Fund where she oversaw a 37 percent increase in dollars raised. She is a graduate of Susquehanna University, where she was recognized as "Woman of the Year" in 2000 and received her MBA from Marquette University in 2005.

Steve Shelton's career experiences include working as a consultant, accountant, business owner, investment advisor, and financial planner. Prior to joining Nuveen Investments, Mr. Shelton was senior vice president and director of Kemper Securities Special Products and Services Group and executive vice president of EVEREN Securities Financial Investor Services Group. He also served as senior executive at several East Coast firms, providing consulting, insurance services, and investment solutions to high net worth individuals, family offices, and institutions. Mr. Shelton received his BS and MS from the University of Illinois and his MBA from Sul Ross State University.

Michael Andrews is the director of Internet technology at Blackbaud. He joined the company in 1993 as a developer on The Raiser's Edge 6 team. Staying with The Raiser's Edge through version 7, he led the development of RE:Anywhere , the Internet version of the solution. Most recently, he has driven the design and development of Blackbaud NetCommunity, a .NET -based product for creating online communities built on top of The Raiser's Edge 7 platform. Mr. Andrews holds a BS degree in management science from The University of South Carolina's Moore School of Business.

Brenda Murray is the design manager for emerging products at Blackbaud. Previously, she served as a technical writer, business systems analyst, designer, and usability advocate for several organizations in the Chicago area, including InstallShield Software Corporation and JP Morgan Chase. A former writer and stewardship coordinator for the fundraising department at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Ms. Murray holds an MA in writing from DePaul University and a BA in English from the State University of New York at Oswego. Ms. Murray currently serves on the editorial team of The Voice, the Usability Professionals' Association's online publication covering news, issues, and research in the fields of design and usability.

Daric Brummett is the manager of the business analysis and performance reporting group within the office of external affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles. In this position, he is responsible for predictive modeling and has developed numerous models dedicated to the fundraising process. He holds a doctorate in economics (econometrics) from the University of Notre Dame and has taught economics and research methods at The California State University and Moorpark College. Mr. Brummett has 13 years of marketing research and analysis experience within corporate environments and as a private consultant.

Dorie Wallace is the product manager for Blackbaud Analytics , which is a position she moved into after serving as the product manager for The Raiser's Edge for four years. A Blackbaud employee since 1998, she was previously an instructor, instructor coach, custom Crystal Reports designer, and product support lead for The Raiser's Edge customer support team. Consistently a top speaker at Blackbaud conferences, Ms. Wallace graduated with a degree in business administration from the College of Charleston.

Howard Chalmers is the manager of Blackbaud's arts & cultural customer support. Since joining Blackbaud in 2003, he has worked in product development, professional services, and customer support for The Patron Edge . Prior to joining Blackbaud, Mr. Chalmers spent 10 years in software development and project management in the ticketing and telecommunications industries. Mr. Chalmers holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Auburn University.

James Poole is the design manager for Blackbaud's core products, including The Raiser's Edge, The Financial Edge, and The Education Edge. He joined the company in 1995 as a developer of the business office DOS products and later served as a software architect during the creation of The Financial Edge 7 and The Education Edge 7 product lines. He now manages a team of business systems analysts and graphic artists, working to design and document feature enhancements and new products. Mr. Poole is a native of Charleston, SC and holds a BS in computer information systems from Clemson University.

John Young is a program manager for Blackbaud, managing the product development of Blackbaud NetCommunity . Before joining Blackbaud, he was a senior manager for Epiphany and a development manager for Moss Software. In addition to working on the NetCommunity application, Mr. Young's experience includes designing and gathering requirements for CRM systems, business application Web design, and five years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He has a BS in business from the University of Southern California.

Kathryn Johnson, a business solutions manager based out of Minneapolis, MN, joined Blackbaud with 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. At Blackbaud, she has worked on numerous enterprise implementations including a top-five children's hospital, a leading liberal arts college, an internationally recognized medical foundation, and a prominent international business graduate school. Previously, she served as director of development for the Levine School of Music in Washington, DC. Additionally, she served as the assistant director of development for major gifts at the American Institute for Cancer Research and as the associate executive director of Washington Very Special Arts.

Kevin Kreamer is a product manager for The Raiser's Edge. He has been with Blackbaud for more than four years and began his career with the company as an account executive. In that role, he worked with Raiser's Edge customers to provide solutions that met their ongoing needs. He has been in his product management role for over two years and is responsible for analyzing market trends, client needs, and technology changes in order to continue to develop The Raiser's Edge to meet and exceed market demands. Mr. Kreamer holds a BA in psychology and sociology from Lycoming College.

Liz Marenakos is the product line manager for Blackbaud's enterprise solutions. She has served on the boards of several nonprofits in roles ranging from treasurer to vice president. She has also served as the financial manager of a nonprofit organization, managing several fundraising events and participating in capital campaigns. Previously, she performed business planning and tax preparation for a small public accounting firm and ran her own business. Additionally, she worked on a forensic accounting project with a federal court-appointed receiver and was responsible for the complete reconstruction of a general ledger. Ms. Marenakos holds a BS in international politics from Georgetown University, a Master of Accountancy from The University of Charleston, and she is currently enrolled in the MBA program at The Citadel.

Marc van Baar is the support education manager at Blackbaud and is responsible for hiring, training, and developing customer support staff. Originally a customer support analyst, he became a software instructor and taught clients throughout the United States and Canada. Mr. van Baar is originally from the Netherlands and moved to the United States 12 years ago after graduating with a BA in marketing and management from the Nationale Hogeschool voor Toerisme en Verkeer. He regularly speaks at Blackbaud conferences about Raiser's Edge topics and training management.

Paul Finch is the product line manager for The Education Edge at Blackbaud. Previously, he served as a consultant in the professional services group and was the product support lead for Blackbaud's education administration products, gaining extensive software knowledge, K-12 market experience, and training skills. Previously, Mr. Finch taught in the Charleston-area school system, designing, coordinating, and implementing curriculum for students with special needs. He earned a BS from the College of Charleston.

Paul Gibson is a manager and system architect on Blackbaud's core technology team. He joined the company in 1994 as a developer of The Raiser's Edge 5.0 DOS product, later serving on the programming teams that created The Raiser's Edge 6.0 and Accounting For Nonprofits 6.0. He has been involved since the earliest stages of development of The Raiser's Edge 7, contributing significant pieces of code to the Query, Export, Custom View, RE:NetSolutions , RE:API , and RE:VBA modules. A native of Charleston, Mr. Gibson holds a BS in computer science from the College of Charleston.

Robert Goodman, a project manager in Blackbaud's professional services division, is responsible for leading Blackbaud NetCommunity implementations. Previously, he spent two years as an enterprise Raiser's Edge consultant, designing solutions for special event management, gift processing, major giving, and planned giving programs in the higher education and general nonprofit sectors. Before joining Blackbaud, Mr. Goodman spent four years running his own Web hosting and consulting business. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and German from Lenoir-Rhyne College.

Steve MacLaughlin, the practice manager of Blackbaud's Internet Services group, is responsible for leading how Blackbaud delivers Internet solutions for its clients. Before joining Blackbaud, Mr. MacLaughlin spent more than eight years in the technology services sector, managing award-winning online projects with clients such as the American College of Sports Medicine, BMW of North America, Butler University, Dow Chemical, Eli Lilly, Finish Line, Indiana University School of Medicine, NCAA, and Thomson. Mr. MacLaughlin earned both his undergraduate degree and a master of science degree in interactive media from Indiana University.

Heidi Strenck has served as Blackbaud’s senior vice president and corporate controller since October 2002. She joined the company in September 1996, serving in key management roles in the finance division. Prior to joining Blackbaud, she served as a senior associate with Coopers & Lybrand and as internal auditor for The Raymond Corporation. Strenck serves on the board of directors of the Trident Area Salvation Army. She holds a BA in management/accounting from Hartwick College.

Alan Eager is a principal consultant for Blackbaud, where he has been instrumental in the design, development, and client delivery of The Information Edge . Previously, he spent more than seven years in the business intelligence sector for two of the leading pioneers, Hyperion and Pilot Software . He also spent several years at KPMG Management Consulting and has held senior marketing positions for two companies including his own consulting firm that provided marketing services to high tech and professional services organizations. He has a BSc in computer science from University of Leeds, an MSc in business systems analysis from City University, London, a Post Graduate Diploma in marketing from Cambridge Marketing College, and is a fully certified member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Alison Fultz is a principal consultant working with Blackbaud's arts and cultural clients. Ms. Fultz joined Blackbaud with over 10 years experience in database analysis and system implementation and administration. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Ms. Fultz was the director of systems administration at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra where she managed the development, finance, and ticketing systems. She received a BS in English Linguistics from Eastern Michigan University and is currently based in Plymouth, Michigan.

Brian Adle is a data analyst with the arts and cultural team and has been working at Blackbaud since 2005. Prior to working with The Patron Edge , Brian spent a year on the Raiser's Edge conversions team. He is now responsible for Patron Edge data conversions and PE/RE integration implementations. Brian has a BS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.

Brian Harris is a developer solutions engineer for Blackbaud, where he began his career as a customer support analyst in 2002. He provides assistance and technical support for Crystal Reports , read-only databases, and the United Way Campaign Management System. Mr. Harris is a member of the Blackbaud custom report writer team. Before joining developer solutions support in 2004, he was a senior support specialist for The Raiser's Edge . Mr. Harris also received six of Blackbaud's most valuable player awards from July 2002 to December 2005.

Brian Stallings, senior enterprise consultant for Blackbaud's arts & cultural solutions, has extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for arts and cultural organizations. In his four years with Blackbaud, Mr. Stallings has helped numerous organizations implement and get the most out of their Blackbaud ticketing and fundraising systems. He has more than eight years of experience implementing and designing CRM solutions for several Fortune 500 companies while working at JD Edwards and Peoplesoft . Mr. Stallings's experience in product development, design, technical support, business process redesign, and client training has made him Blackbaud's resident expert for integration, overall business process improvement, access control, and kiosks. He received a BA in both computer science and mathematics from the University of North Carolina.

Cary Colwell is a consultant in the Blackbaud Analytics division. He has 25 years of fundraising experience and has raised hundreds of millions in private support. Previously, he served as president and CEO of the Scripps Foundation for Medicine and Science in San Diego, CA, where he was responsible for the overall operations of the Foundation, one of the nation's top 25 fundraising organizations for private medical institutions. Previously, Mr. Colwell served as executive director of the Memorial Medical Center Foundation in Springfield, IL, and was corporate director of planned and major gifts at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. His background also includes major and planned giving work in higher education. He holds a BS in finance from Eastern Illinois University.

Cassandra Plunkett is the training coordinator for customer support, where she is responsible for the continuing education and development of more than 100 employees. In her position, she creates, conducts, and organizes training that ranges from product functionality to skill development. She also assists with hiring and training new customer support analysts. Ms. Plunkett joined Blackbaud in 1999 as a customer support analyst and previously supported Blackbaud's Advantage Priority maintenance clients exclusively. She holds a BS from the College of Charleston.

Danielle Marino is a fundraising systems consultant for The Raiser's Edge. She has extensive experience assisting United Ways, community foundations, healthcare organizations, and colleges and universities with the redesign of business processes and implementation of technology solutions. Previously, Ms. Marino served as the manager of federated funding at the American Red Cross, Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter, where she was responsible for raising funds from institutional donors and managing development operations systems. She has a BA from Smith College and is currently completing an MPA and CFRE certification.

David Kilmer is a senior applications engineer at Blackbaud. Before joining the company, he worked as a high school mathematics teacher. At Blackbaud, he has served as a trainer for support education and as a customer support analyst for The Financial Edge. Voted the top speaker at Blackbaud's 2005 Conference in Charleston, SC, Mr. Kilmer has a degree in mathematics with a concentration in applied mathematics from Western Connecticut State University.

Deadra Elliott, senior consultant for The Education Edge, works with customers to implement and effectively use Blackbaud's K-12 solution. Before joining professional services, she served as a trainer, helping customers learn the Registrar's Office and Admissions Office Web-based solutions, as well as The Raiser's Edge . Ms. Elliott also spent two years as a support analyst for The Raiser's Edge. Before joining Blackbaud, she was a trainer and customer support representative with a telecommunications company. Ms. Elliott holds a BA in English from the University of South Carolina.

Elizabeth Oswalt is a software instructor for The Raiser's Edge and The Financial Edge . In this role, she travels throughout the United States and Canada, delivering training to Blackbaud clients. Ms. Oswalt has won Blackbaud's Instructor of the Month award numerous times. Before joining Blackbaud, she worked at several nonprofit organizations, most recently as the development manager at the Columbia Museum of Art where she coordinated the membership program and annual appeals and developed fundraising and community events. Ms. Oswalt holds a BFA in Studio Art from Converse College.

Gerhard Obenaus is a software architect on the core technologies team at Blackbaud. He has been with Blackbaud since 1995, focusing on the development of Blackbaud's internal automation framework.

Gregory Heath is an enterprise senior solutions engineer, and has been a member of the Blackbaud team since October, 1997. During his tenure, Gregory has held positions in Customer Support, Professional Services, and Sales. Gregory is currently focused on delivering enterprise solutions to large national charitable organizations and universities. Gregory is originally from Baltimore, Maryland; he moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 1992 where he attended, and graduated from, the College of Charleston.

Jacqueline Koesters leads the Blackbaud Analytics' consultant team. Prior to joining Blackbaud in 2002, she spent eight years in the nonprofit sector, including three years at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where she helped create major gift and planned giving programs. In addition, Ms. Koesters consulted and trained new employees from the 58 chapters of the organization on fundraising. Prior to working in the fundraising field, she was a social worker helping abused and neglected children. Ms. Koesters holds a BS from Bowling Green State University.

Jay Nathan has been an enterprise solutions architect with Blackbaud since 2005. He is primarily responsible for helping Blackbaud customers create value through business intelligence applications and providing strategy consulting around data warehousing and integration activities. Mr. Nathan holds a BS in business administration and information technology from Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business. Previously, he was employed by Duke Energy and Mariner, a consulting firm in Charlotte, NC. He has developed business intelligence and operational systems for the nonprofit, utilities, healthcare, insurance, and finance industries and, at Blackbaud, has worked with such clients as The Heritage Foundation, The Ocean Conservancy, and Lions Club International Foundation. Mr. Nathan is Microsoft certified in SQL Server and .NET technologies.

Jenny Cooke is a fundraising specialist for Blackbaud, coaching nonprofit board and staff members in implementing strategies to increase annual funding. Previously, she worked with clients as a software instructor for The Raiser's Edge and The Researcher's Edge . Before joining Blackbaud, she was a development officer for Hospice of Charleston where she led the organization through its first capital campaign (exceeding its three-million-dollar goal), developing a donor stewardship program, and implementing a committee to rewrite the mission and vision of the organization. Ms. Cooke holds a BA in journalism and mass communications from The University of South Carolina.

Charity auctioneer Jim Miller serves as a fundraising consultant and auctioneer to the nonprofit sector across the country. He takes pride in helping to shape the growing, changing landscape of benefit auctions. More often referred to as an "auction entertainer," Mr. Miller combines a honed sense of humor with years of auction fundraising experience. His company, Miller Auction Services, works exclusively with nonprofit organizations. Focusing on this niche market gives him the opportunity to help everyone from small schools to nationally recognized foundations.

Julie Gonzalez is a member of the Raiser's Edge consulting team. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Ms. Gonzalez spent more than 10 years in fundraising and nonprofit management and has experience in a wide range of nonprofit operations, including fundraising with special emphasis on capital campaign management, planned gifts, major gifts, annual giving, and special events; corporate, government, and foundation development; database management; and marketing. She also worked as an independent consultant for more than five years, specializing in business process improvement, outcomes measurement/evaluation, strategic planning, organizational management, and board development. At Blackbaud, Ms. Gonzalez works with all nonprofit verticals, specializing in systems implementation and business process improvement. She holds a BA from Samford University, an MA from the University of Alabama, and a CFRE. She serves on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Repertory Theatre and the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma's Planned Giving Committee.

Kristin Sargent is a member of the Blackbaud Analytics consultant team. Previously, she worked in both the university and K-12 private school sectors. Ms. Sargent specializes in developing and implementing integrated annual, major, and planned-giving programs for small- to mid-sized organizations. She holds a BA from Eckerd College and a MS and a PhD from Auburn University.

Laurel Kenerson is the GiftMaker Pro support lead with Blackbaud, where she began supporting The Raiser's Edge in 2002. In 2005, she was one of three customer support analysts selected to assist the educational services division as a software instructor. For three months, she traveled throughout the United States teaching The Raiser's Edge to Blackbaud clients. Since last spring, Ms. Kenerson has been assisting GiftMaker Pro users with their conversions to The Raiser's Edge and serving as the point person for all GiftMaker Pro conversion questions. She holds a degree in political science from Francis Marion University.

Mary Maiden Mueller, the database administrator for the Hazelden Foundation since 1996, has been working in fundraising since 1988. From her first position as a data-entry specialist for the Indianhead Council, BSA, she has advanced through various roles with a variety of nonprofits to her current position in which she manages the use of Blackbaud solutions at the Hazelden Foundation. She has hands-on experience with every aspect of fundraising databases (in both The Raiser's Edge and other databases) from data entry, querying, and reporting, to conversions, report writing, and database management. In 1998, she coordinated and completed a comprehensive data inventory of the information stored in an old database before it was transferred to The Raiser's Edge.

Megan Close is a solutions engineer for Blackbaud's arts and cultural team. She has been with Blackbaud for almost three years and began her career with the company as a software instructor, providing onsite, regional, and Blackbaud University training to clients. She has been a solutions engineer for almost two years and is responsible for teaching prospective clients and account executives on the arts and cultural team how Blackbaud products can help museums, aquariums, theaters, and other cultural organizations improve business practices. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Ms. Close worked as a fundraiser, membership manager, and event coordinator at several nonprofits across the country. She holds a BA in History from University of Colorado at Denver.

Molly Maple is a senior solutions engineer for The Raiser's Edge and Blackbaud NetCommunity . She has been a software instructor, working onsite with clients using The Raiser's Edge, Crystal Reports , and Education Administration. Previously, she worked on the customer support team as a support specialist. As the child of a fundraiser, Ms. Maple got an early start working with major donors. She grew up visiting benefactors, attending fundraising events, and running her first direct-mail campaign while she was a college student. After graduating from Georgia Tech, Ms. Maple spent time working for the South Carolina Aquarium before she began at Blackbaud.

Nancy Appel, corporate, foundation, and government gifts officer for the Hazelden Foundation, holds a master's degree in public administration with a specialization in nonprofit management. She has more than 10 years experience in the nonprofit sector, including work with social service and arts organizations both large and small. Ms. Appel is a certified fundraising executive.

Rich Conte has been a senior business systems architect with Blackbaud since June of 2003. Previously, he was the product design manager with Thomson Investment Software in Boston, MA. He is a native of Cape Cod, MA, and is an avid surfer and softball player.

Richard Geiger is a principal consultant working with Blackbaud's higher education customers, which is a position that allows him to combine his extensive experience in consulting, systems implementations, fundraising management, and major giving. Previously, he served as a senior fundraising consultant for The Raiser's Edge. Before entering the consulting world, Mr. Geiger was a market and systems analyst for CARE in Atlanta, GA. A 10-year fundraising and consulting veteran, he has a BA and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Pittsburgh.

Ryan Montgomery is a support trainer for Blackbaud's product support team and is responsible for providing a comprehensive overview of The Raiser's Edge for all new customer support analysts. He joined Blackbaud in November of 2003 as a customer support analyst and was quickly promoted to support specialist. Mr. Montgomery was awarded Blackbaud's circle of excellence award in July, 2004 and most valuable player award in January, 2005. He holds a BS in computer science from the University of South Carolina.

Samantha Cohen is a member of the Blackbaud Analytics consulting team. Previously, she worked extensively in both Canada and the United States. Ms. Cohen specializes in individual giving for the performing arts with work experiences including Kentucky Opera, the National Ballet of Canada, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. She holds a BA from McMaster University and a certificate in cultural management from the University of Waterloo - Cultural Management Centre.

Shawn Fruchter is an enterprise solutions architect at Blackbaud. In this role, he works with Blackbaud's largest clients and most complex implementations to ensure the software meets high-level requirements, including those related to security and performance. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Mr. Fruchter worked in the technology and finance industries as a developer, architect, project manager, functional manager, and consultant. Mr. Fruchter holds a BA and MA in Economics and will complete a second master's degree in computer science next spring.

Susan Budak, CPA, is a consultant working primarily with the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). For NACUBO, Ms. Budak is co-author of the bimonthly newsletter Emerging Issues Updates. At FASB, she recently managed the project on combinations of nonprofit organizations. With the AICPA, she annually updates the audit guide and disclosure checklist for nonprofit organizations. Previously, she worked for FASB and the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) as a project manager on the research and technical activities staff for six years. Her work at FASB included conducting three parts of the FASB nonprofit organizations project: contributions, financial statement display, and investment and agency. She worked on the GASB reporting model for public colleges and universities. She is co-author of three Practitioner's Publishing Company Guides and a past author of the Wiley GAAP. Before joining FASB, she held positions as assistant controller and director of accounting services at Northwestern University and senior accountant at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago, IL.

Tiffany Elser is a solutions engineer for Blackbaud's cultural solutions team. She was previously a top-ranked software instructor who traveled across the United States and abroad training clients on all Blackbaud products, in English and Spanish. Previously, she worked on the customer support education team as a quality specialist, responsible for training analysts on product and technical information and customer service skills. Ms. Elser is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, with a degree in marketing and human resources management and a specialization in international business and Spanish.

Tom Anderson is the lead software engineer for The Information Edge and is involved in the design, development, and deployment of the solution. He started at Blackbaud in 2000 and previously served as a software engineer for The Raiser's Edge . Before joining Blackbaud, he was employed as a software developer at State Farm Insurance . Mr. Anderson graduated from Illinois College with BS in management information systems.

Heather Lyman is the senior editor and creative team lead in Blackbaud's marketing department. In addition to developing Blackbaud's creative campaigns from start to finish and writing and editing major corporate pieces, she derives great satisfaction from developing fundraising collateral for nonprofit clients through Blackbaud's newly-formed creative services unit. Regarded as Blackbaud's resident "grammar guru," Ms. Lyman enjoys the thrill of repairing split infinitives and misplaced modifiers nearly as much as finding unique ways to deliver a motivating message. Previously, she helped to develop, write, and edit television commercial spots for corporate clients while working for a nationally acclaimed creative agency and produced ad copy for both a large real estate development firm and the highest-volume auto dealership in the southeast. She holds a BA in English and professional communications from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, where she was a 4-year Julia Hamlet Harris Writing Scholar and has completed MA work at The Citadel.

Andrew Leitch's career spans 28 years in public accounting, including 20 years as a partner at Deloitte & Touche, as well as holding senior executive positions with a number of private companies. He was Vice Chairman of Deloitte's Management Committee in Hong Kong, and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for all of Asia. He has lived and worked in Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong prior to retiring from public practice and relocating to San Diego. Not one to slow down, Mr. Leitch currently serves as an independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of several NASDAQ listed companies, including Wireless Facilities, Blackbaud, and Aldila Inc.
