As managing director, EMEA, Mark is responsible for growing Astea's business in the European, Middle Eastern and African regions. Mr. Filipowski currently serves as CEO of Divine, Inc. (Divine), a corporate Internet venture catalyst with $300 million in capital. In 1987, Mr. Filipowski founded PLATINUM technology, inc. and served as Chairman of the Board, President and CEO, until its sale to Computer Associates in 1999. He is a Director of Bluestone Software, Blue Rhino Corporation, and other for-profit and charitable boards. In 1990, Mr. Filipowski was awarded the KPMG Peat Marwick's Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch's Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
