Served as Chairman of the Southern Division of the Belk, Inc. from 1999 to 2002, as partner of the Florida Division of Belk from 1992 to 1999, and in senior executive positions at Belk from 1985 to 1992.

Vice Chairman and President – Merchandising, effective February 3, 2008. Prior to this, Vice Chairman and President – Merchandising since June 1, 2006. Was President - Head Merchant of Carson's since 1999. Joined Carson's in 1993 as Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager; in 1997 was named Executive Vice President, Merchandise. Prior to joining Carson's, held senior merchandising positions at Kaufmann's, Meier & Frank, Gantos and Montgomery Ward.

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer since April 3, 2006. Chief Financial Officer since May 2005 and Principal Accounting Officer since June 2003. Served as Senior Vice President, Finance from September 2001 to April 2006. Joined Bon-Ton as Divisional Vice President, Controller in 1997, and from May 1999 to September 2001, was Vice President, Controller.

Executive Vice President, Sales Promotion and Marketing Executive Vice President, Sales Promotion and Marketing, effective April 6, 2009. Was EVP, Stores and Visual since February 2008. Was SVP, Merchandise Planning and Internet Marketing since August 2006 . Prior to joining The Bon-Ton in 2005 as Senior Vice President, Product Development and Private Brand, Ms. Schrantz held various merchandising posts of increasing responsibility at Proffitt's/McRae's, a division of Saks Incorporated. Prior to joining Proffitt's, Ms. Schrantz was with Herberger's.

Executive Vice President, Human Resources Corporate Procurement & Operations and Information Services, effective February 3, 2008. Prior to this, Executive Vice President, Human Resources since April 3, 2006. Served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources from February 2005 to April 2006 and Vice President, Employment and Training from April 2004 to February 2005. For more than four years prior to that time, was Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Elder-Beerman.

Executive chairman of the board of directors since December 2003 and chairman of the board of directors since August 1995. Was Chief Executive Office from 2000 to 2003 and from 1991 to 1995. Is third generation of the founding family, Grumbacher, who began Bon-Ton Stores in 1898.

Ms. Baier is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Movie Gallery, Inc., a home entertainment specialty retailer that operates approximately 3,300 stores in the United States and Canada under the brands Movie Gallery, Hollywood Video and Game Crazy. Prior to joining Movie Gallery, Inc. in July 2008, Ms. Baier served from 2006 as Chief Financial Officer of World Kitchen, LLC. From 2004 to 2005, Ms. Baier was President and Chief Operating Officer at Whitehall Jewelers, Inc., and from 2000 to 2004, she held senior management positions at Sears, Roebuck & Company.

Mr. Gleim was Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Bon-Ton from December 1995 to February 2002. From 1991 to December 1995 he was Senior Executive Vice President of Bon-Ton, and from 1989 to 1991 he was Executive Vice President of Bon-Ton.

Vice Chairman, Stores, Distribution, Real Estate and Construction, effective February 3, 2008, Prior to this, Vice Chairman, Stores, Operations, Private Brand, Merchandise Planning and Allocation and Internet Merchandising since October 10, 2006. Was Executive Vice President, Carson's Stores effective April 3, 2006. Prior to that time, was Executive Vice President, Stores and Visual Merchandising of Carson's since August 2004. Held the post of Senior Vice President / Territory Director of Stores for Kohl's Department Stores between 2000 and August 2004.

Mr. McCarty was appointed Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at Readers Digest effective March 1, 2008. From 2005 to February 2008, he served as Senior Vice President — Human Resources of Rite Aid Corporation. Prior to joining Rite Aid in 2005, Mr. McCarty was Senior Vice President — Human Resources of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from 2000 to 2005.
