Boston Beer Co. Inc.

Mr. Roper was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Company in January 2001, after having served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company since December 1999. Mr. Roper joined the Company as Vice President of Manufacturing and Business Development in September 1994 and became the Chief Operating Officer in April 1997.

William F. Urich, was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company in September 2003. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Urich had been the Chief Financial Officer of Acirca, Inc., a producer of organic foods and beverages, from 2001 to 2003. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Urich served as Vice President Finance and Business Development for United Distillers & Vintners, a subsidiary of Diageo, PLC, and from 1995 to 1998 as its Vice President Finance and Treasurer.

David L. Grinnell, joined The Boston Beer Company in 1988 as the Manager of Brewing Operations until he was promoted to Director of Brewing and Quality in January 2001. Mr. Grinnell held this position until he was promoted to the position of Vice President of Brewing in January 2008. Prior to coming to Boston Beer, Mr. Grinnell was one of the original brewers of the New Amsterdam Brewing Company.

John C. Geist was appointed Vice President of Sales in February 2007, after having served as National Sales Manager of the Company since 1998. Mr. Geist came to the Company in 1997 from a large alcohol beverage distributor where he had been a sales manager.

Robert H. Hall, serves the Company as Vice President of Brand Development. Prior to joining the Company in June 2000, Mr. Hall had been employed by Kellogg Company from 1993 to 2000, where he held the positions of Vice President Marketing, US Natural and Functional Foods Division, and Vice President Global Cereal Innovation, North America.

Thomas W. Lance joined the Company in January 2007 after having served as Executive Vice President, Operations, of Ken's Foods of Marlborough, Massachusetts for more than five years. Prior to that, Mr. Lance held a number of positions in operations at Bausch & Lomb of Rochester, New York, following many years in operations at consumer food companies, namely, Welch's, General Mills and Quaker Oats.

Jim Koch founded the Company in 1984 using his great-great grandfather's recipe and revolutionized the American beer industry. Samuel Adams Boston Lager® helped pave the way for the craft brewing movement, bringing rich full-flavored beer back to the American beer landscape. Mr. Koch began brewing in his kitchen and carrying his beer door-to-door to local bars in Boston. The beer caught on and today the Company brews over 18-distinctive styles of beers. Mr. Koch currently serves as the Chairman and Clerk of the Company. Until January 2001, Mr. Koch also served as the Company's Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Peter Hartl joined Ceradyne as the result of the Company's acquisition of the German technical ceramic corporation, ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co. KG, completed in August 2004. Dr. Hartl is President of ESK and also heads ESK operations. He joined ESK in 1998 as Vice President in charge of boron compounds. Prior to joining ESK, Dr. Hartl spent 11 years at ESK's former parent company, Wacker Chemie, starting in Wacker's research department and moving to the chemical regulations department as part of a management development project. He became technical support manager in Wacker's silicone division and was later appointed regional manager for silicone sealants to establish sales, marketing, production, and service operations in Singapore.

Mr. Cummin served as a general partner of Consumer Venture Partners, a Greenwich, Connecticut based venture capital firm, from January 1986 to December 2002. Mr. Cummin also serves as a Director and a member of the Compensation and Nominating/Governance Committees of Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc.

Charles Joseph Koch, Jr., brewmaster, now retired, worked for many years brewing traditional full-flavored beers. He studied at the Siebel Institute for Brewing Studies at a time when there were more than 600 breweries in the United States, but he left the industry in the late 1950s as Americans’ taste for full-flavored beers waned. Mr. Koch founded Chemicals, Inc., a distribution company of brewing and industrial chemicals, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked until he retired. It was Charles Koch who gave his son, Jim, the recipe for the brew that became Samuel Adams Boston Lager®, a beer his great grandfather brewed in the middle of the 19th century.

Mr. Burwick is the President of PepsiCo-QTG Canada. Prior to assuming that position in November 2005, he had served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Pepsico North America since 2003. Prior to that, he had been Vice President Marketing, Consumer Promotions Sports, a position he held since 1998.

Tanner joined Dean Foods in November 2007 as Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer. Before joining our company, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Operations, at The Hershey Company. Prior to his role at Hershey, he worked as Senior Vice President, Retail Supply Chain at ConAgra Foods as well as various positions at the Quaker Oats Company and Ralston Purina.

Mr. Margolis currently is an independent investor. He serves as a Director for MacGregor/Greg Norman Sports Apparel Company and Godiva Chocolatier, Inc. From October 2005 through July 2007, Mr. Margolis served as the President and CEO of the Apparel Group of Limited Brands. Before assuming that position, he had been President and Chief Operating Officer Reebok, Inc. since 2001.
