David is a leader in the print industry, with his wealth of experience of print and management, having direct profit responsibility for over fifty companies in the industry. He's now taken on the challenge to lead BGP into an exciting new era. A former main Board Director of Polestar and Group Operating Board member and Divisional CEO at McCorquodale, Norton Opax plc, BPC and the Bowater Corporation, he has taken up the reins, heading up BGP's new management team. David - like many other BGP Group directors - is a keen football fan and supports Fulham and he is also an avid enthusiast for the performing arts.

From 2005 to 2006, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Bowater. From 1998 to 2005, he served as Vice President and Treasurer of Bowater. Previously, he was Vice President and Treasurer of Avenor Inc., a pulp and paper company, until its acquisition by Bowater.

Alain Grandmont has been a director since October 2007. Mr. Grandmont served as Senior Vice President, Commercial Printing Papers of Abitibi from 2005 to October 2007, when he was appointed as Senior Vice President, Commercial Printing Papers Division of AbitibiBowater. He served as Senior Vice President, Value-Added Operations and Sales of Abitibi in 2004. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Value-Added Operations of Abitibi. Since consummation of the Combination, directors of Abitibi no longer receive fees for their service on the Abitibi Board.

Pierre Rougeau has been a director since October 2007. Mr. Rougeau served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer of Abitibi from 2001 to October 2007, when he was appointed as Senior Vice President, North American Newsprint Division of AbitibiBowater. Since consummation of the Combination, directors of Abitibi no longer receive fees for their service on the Abitibi Board.

As an Account Executive, Rodolfo handles day-to-day account and project management activities for a range of clients including Acuity Brands, Align Technology, AMVESCAP, Bowater Incorporated and Goodrich Corporation. Rodolfo joined see see eye in 2004 after serving as an intern with the Company. His background includes working as paralegal assistant for Bass & Associates, writer and producer for World Wide, Arts & Entertainment Editor for Georgia State University's Rampway online media group, and credit analyst assistant for Equifax. He has also served as an intern with GSU's College of Education and Melissa Libby & Associates. Rodolfo graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing in May 2005. He is a current member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, the American Marketing Association, and the Latin American Association. Rodolfo is a native of Guatemala.

Gary J. Lukassen has been a director of AbitibiBowater Inc. since October 2007. Mr. Lukassen is a Director of The North West Company and Spinrite Income Fund. Mr. Lukassen served as a director of Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. from 2002 to October 2007. He is a director of The North West Company and Spinrite Income Fund. From 1989 to 2001, he served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of the Hudson Bay s Company. Mr. Lukassen received $1786,792 in cash and other compensation for his service on the Abitibi Board in 2007.

Mr. Giffin served as a director of Bowater Incorporated from 2003 until October 2007. Mr. Giffin is currently co-chair of the Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs practice for the law firm McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP. Mr. Giffin served as U.S. Ambassador to Canada from August 1997 to April 2001. He currently serves on the boards of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Canadian National Railway Company, Canadian Natural Resources Limited, Ontario Energy Savings Corp. and TransAlta Corporation. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library.

L. Jacques Ménard is Chairman of BMO Nesbitt Burns, one of the country’s leading investment firms. He is also President of BMO Financial Group, Quebec. As such, he oversees the activities of BMO Bank of Montreal and its subsidiaries, and its more than 170 branches and 5,000 employees in Quebec. The list of organizations that have drawn on Mr. Ménard’s abilities as a director is impressive. He is currently a director at the Montreal Heart Institute, at the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, with the Montreal Alouettes and recently, he was appointed as a Director at Claridge Inc. A past Chairman of the Board of Hydro-Quebec (1996–2001), the Montreal Exchange, Trans-Canada Options Corporation and the Investment Dealers Association; Mr. Ménard has also been a Vice-Chairman of Gaz Métro, a Director of Rona inc., Bowater Incorporated and the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) and of several other industry organizations during his more than thirty-year career in the investment banking industry. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Corporate Directors (Quebec chapter) and a Board Associate of the Institute for Research on Public Policy. Over the years, Mr. Ménard has also been active in various economic and civic organizations. Presently a Governor of the Conseil du patronat du Québec, he has also served as Chairman and President of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal (1989–1991) and as a member of the Economic Council of Canada. Mr. Ménard chaired the Task Force on the Sustainability of the Québec Health Care and Social Services System, established by the Quebec Government in December 2004 to identify the funding needs for health and social services in Quebec in the coming years and decades and to propose appropriate measures. The Committee presented its report in July 2005. Known for his community involvement, Mr. Ménard co-chaired the highly successful Growing up healthy fundraising campaign of the Sainte-Justine Children’s Hospital Foundation and acts now as a Governor. He is currently Honorary Chairman of EPOC MONTREAL, an organization that gives underprivileged youth access to the training they need in order to integrate into the community. He also holds a seat on the International Advisory Board of HEC Montréal, the Advisory Board of the Glendon College at York University and the Board of Directors of the Macdonald Stewart Foundation. Mr. Ménard is a Director of Centraide of Greater Montreal on which he was the Co-chairman of its fundraising campaign in 1992. He was also President of the Ordre des jeux du Québec in 1994. In 1993, in recognition of his deep social commitment, Concordia University’s Faculty of Commerce and Administration presented him with its Award of Distinction for his professional accomplishments and outstanding service to the community. In May 1995, the Canadian Friends of Hebrew University in Jerusalem bestowed its Scopus Award on Mr. Ménard in recognition of his leadership involvement in the community, the world of education and of business. In February 2000, he received the McGill University Faculty of Management Achievement Award in acknowledgement of these same qualities. In June 2001, Université de Sherbrooke’s Faculty of Administration awarded him an honorary doctorate. In April 2005, the Federation of Québec Chambers of Commerce, underscored Mr. Ménard social commitments by presenting him with its Award of Merit in philanthropy. In June 2006, Concordia University’s John-Molson School of Business awarded Mr Ménard an honorary doctorate in recognition of his involvement in the community and his exceptional contribution to the business world. Mr. Ménard is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (M.B.A. 1970), Loyola College of Montréal (B. Comm. Hon. Econ. 1967) and of College Ste-Marie (B.A. 1966). Mr. Ménard became a Member of the Order of Canada in 1995. He was elevated to the rank of an Officer in 2000. He has served as a member of the Advisory Board of the Order of Canada from 2005 to 2008. He is married to Marie-José Ratelle and they have two children; Louis-Simon and Anne-Valérie.
