Today, we're a small bunch of slightly off-center, fun folks working hard (or is that hardly working?) not real far from where we began, near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to bring you whimsically unique teddy bears, floppy-eared hares and other friends in the true, old-world teddy making tradition. With skilled hands and a bit of magic, our master bear crafters bring each Boyds Bear or Friend to life using only the finest quality materials creating (if we do say so ourselves) a fantastic gift!

Mr. Stuart joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., L.P. in 1986 in New York, became partner at year-end 1994, and served on KKR's investment committee from 2000 until 2005. From 2000 until his departure in 2005, he was responsible for KKR's industry groups in the utilities and consumer products sectors. Prior to joining KKR in 1986, Mr. Stuart worked from 1981 to 1984 at Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb, Inc. in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department.
