Andy Inglis is Chief Executive, Exploration and Production. Andy is a member of the BP board of directors and a member of the BP executive management team. He is also responsible for BP's worldwide exploration and production activities and holds regional responsibility for Russia, the Caspian, the Middle East, North and West Africa, Canada, the Caribbean and South America, Indonesia and Vietnam. Andy gained an MA in engineering from Pembroke College, University of Cambridge. Andy joined BP Exploration in 1980, working on various North Sea projects. Following a series of commercial roles in exploration, he became chief of staff for BP Exploration in 1997. Later that year, he led BP’s activities in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico and in 1999 became vice president of the US western gas business. In 2004, Andy was appointed an executive vice president and deputy chief executive of exploration and production. Andy succeeded Tony Hayward as chief executive of BP’s exploration and production segment on 1 February 2007. On the same date he also became an executive director of BP. Andy is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. He was appointed a non-executive director of BAE Systems plc in June 2007.

Anthony B. Hayward, Group Chief Executive, earned PH.D Geology in 1982 from the University of Edinburgh. Tony joined BP in 1982 and, following a series of technical and commercial roles in BP exploration in London, Aberdeen, Glasgow, France and China, in 1992 he moved to Colombia as exploration manager. In 1995, he became president of the BP group in Venezuela. In 1997, Tony returned to London as a director of BP exploration and in 1999, following the merger of BP and Amoco, he became a group vice president and a member of the upstream executive committee. He was appointed group treasurer in 2000, where his responsibilities included global treasury operations, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He was appointed an executive vice president in 2002, becoming chief executive officer for exploration and production later that year. He succeeded Lord Browne as group chief executive in May 2007. Tony is a senior independent non-executive director of Corus Group plc and a non-executive director of Tata Steel.

Dr. Byron E. Grote is a member of the BP board of directors and Chief Financial Officer of the BP executive management team. He also has group accountability for USA and the group's integrated supply and trading activities. PhD in Quantitative Analysis from Cornell University. Dr. Grote joined The Standard Oil Company of Ohio in 1979 and in 1985 became director of planning for The Standard Oil Company’s mining subsidiary, Kennecott. In 1986, he was appointed vice president, retail marketing. In 1988, Dr. Grote became commercial vice president for BP’s Alaskan North Slope production activities. In 1989, he was appointed commercial general manager of BP exploration, based in London. He became group treasurer and chief executive officer of BP finance in 1992, directing the global finance operations of the BP group. In 1994, he took up the position of regional chief executive in Latin America. He returned to London in 1995 to take up his appointment as deputy chief executive officer of BP exploration. He became group chief of staff in 1997, with responsibility for a number of corporate areas, including strategy, technology, IT, investor relations and solar. Following the merger of BP and Amoco, in 1999 he was appointed executive vice president, exploration and production. Between 1999 and 2000, he was responsible for directing the acquisition of ARCO and managing the integration of its operations into BP. Byron is a non-executive director of Unilever NA and Unilever plc and a member of the Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management Advisory Council. He was chairman of the Chemicals Innovation and Growth Team, a joint initiative of the UK Chemicals sector and the Department of Trade and Industry (2001 - 2002), vice-chairman of the UK Government's Public Services Productivity Panel (1998 to 2000), a member of the Economic Advisory Panel to the Governor of Guangdong Province (2002-2006), and a member of the UK Government's Asia Task (2005-2006).

Education: Steve has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Natal, an MBA from the University of Cape Town and an M.Sc in Management from Stanford University.
Career: After working for four years in the power industry, Steve joined BP in 1988. He has held a variety of roles including Retail Marketing, Planning and Control, Strategic Planning, Supply, and Refining. His career has included postings in Africa, the UK and the US. He was appointed Group Vice President of Alternative Energy in 2005, a role he held until he was appointed Executive Vice President and Group Chief of Staff on 1st January 2008.

Sally T. Bott was appointed Group HR Director, in March of 2005. She is also a member of the BP executive management team. Sally has a BSc degree in Economics from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York and began her career in the Economics Department of Citibank in 1970. Sally is an experienced HR professional with more than 25 years of HR experience. She worked at Citibank for 23 years, at BZW for two years, and then five years as Group Human Resources Director of Barclays plc in London. Her most recent position prior to joining BP was at Marsh & McLennan Companies, where she worked for five years, and served as a Managing Director and Head of Global HR for Marsh Inc. She is on the Board of the Royal College of Music in London and the Carter Burden Center for the Aged in NY City. Subject to election at the bank's extraordinary meeting on October 2nd, Sally will join the Board of UBS.

As chancellor of the University System of Georgia, Erroll B. Davis Jr. is responsible for the state's 35 public colleges and universities, 260,000 students, 39,000 faculty and staff, and an annual budget of $5.7 billion. Davis took office in early 2006. Previously, he had served as chairman of the board of Alliant Energy Corporation an energy holding company with $8.3 billion in total assets and annual operating revenues of $3 billion since 2000. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Davis earned a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1965, and a M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago in 1967.
George David was appointed a non-executive director of BP in February 2008. He is a member of the chairman's, the remuneration and audit committees. Mr David began his career in The Boston Consulting Group before joining the Otis Elevator Company in 1975. He held various roles in Otis and later in United Technologies Corporation (UTC), following Otis's merger with UTC in 1977. In 1992 he became UTC's chief operating officer. He served as UTC's chief executive officer from 1994 until 2008 and has served as chairman since 1997. Mr David is vice-chairman of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. He was awarded the Order of Friendship from the Russian Federation in 1999 and admitted to the French Legion d'Honneur in 2002.
